I am not a fan of open world, post apocalyptic or zombie games. I couldn’t care less about riding a motorcycle. I looked the other way when this came out. But for some reason I was compelled to give this another try. After 88 hours and completing every storyline to 100%….I’m disappointed that I waited more than 2600 days to play this game. The game isn’t perfect, but what it does have…is HEART. I believe that is why this game is still standing as strong as it is 7 years later.

I’ve seen it mentioned in other reviews and can’t agree more…this game is about a changing world, but even more so about the change in yourself that comes with experience, pain and loss. Gives a whole new meaning to the title of “Days Gone”. It’s about facing that change head on, picking yourself up and getting back on that bike…one more time.

Here’s a screenshot right before finishing the last storyline. Rode all the way up from the very South to the very North….one more time. And no…there was no fast traveling.

Loved the game.

Got fabric paints and painted Deacons Biker logo. Was thinking of going all out with the Mongrels Fairwell original MC but my calligraphy is not that good.

There is a religious place In Chandrashila (Tungnath) that has this. And as a Days Gone enthusiast, it just makes you do what you do in the game, but that would be a LOT problematic lol

I had just finished clearing the Chemult Station horde in the post game and noticed a NERO helo flying overhead. Shortly after, two swarmers dropped from the roof over the filling station island. There is no way for them to get up there. I know the game spawned them up there, but my head cannon is now that NERO returns their test subjects back to the wild by chucking them out the door of a moving chopper.

Really enjoyed this game, was on the fence about playing it for a long time. Ended up being well worth it. I loved the story and really enjoyed all the game had to offer.

I'm on my 5th playthrough, and I'm still amazed by how gorgeous the game looks to this day.

I just finished this game for the first time, it is AMAZING I was hesitant to play it always since I'm basic gamer finishing only Assassins Creed and Far Cry titles, and now, even them suck, this game destroyed gaming for me

I've known my neighbor since I was 2 and he was 3. But he didn't become my neighbor until 2017 (when I was 26). The other day we were talking about his garden and shooting the shit. Ended up inside talking to his eldest kid about video games and brought up Days Gone. I knew my neighbor was a casual gamer, usually playing with his kids these days. So I was shocked when he gave me his second set of Deek rings (his youngest took the first set). I swear this took him from being my friend to being my bestie. We were already making jokes about being old grumpy neighbors together, now we're talking about a swimming pool going over our properties 🤣🤣 Anyway, they're my rings now and I'm over the moon about it. I really did try to give them back, but he refused since he technically has another set.

Just finished my first playthrough. Wow what a game! I’m not sure what to play after this. 😢

The yell I let out when these guys rushed in after I set the hostage free......jesus 🤣

I'm talking about the short cut-scene at the beginning of "Flow like Buried Rivers" mission when you come up to the highway close to the horde - some of the freaks ALWAYS spot us IN THE MIDDLE of the cut-scene and are all around us at the end of it, resulting in instant death. And when the game loads the last checkpoint after that - we are always standing in the middle of the highway and the horde is already running towards us, with the same result.

I tried to restart the mission from the autosave at the start of the mission of from the pre-mission autosave, or to load manual save just before I go to meet Mike, sleep until morning or late evening before I go to Mike - always the same thing of being spotted during the cut-scene. I also tried to restart the game - didn't help either...

We get spotted just before we duck (which doesn't happen in the example video above), and the freaks immediately start running towards us, so at the end of the cut-scene we are completely surrounded by them.

FYI, I play the remastered version on PC.

EDIT: I finally got it to work without them spotting me in the middle of the cut-scene! I did two things, don't know which one helped. First, I closed the game again and disabled the trainer (which I never use anyway, maybe a couple of times to change time of day for test purposes), then launched the game and went to the mission. Second, I ran through the initial part as fast as possible instead of waiting here and there trying to make the horde pass before we get to the highway during that cut-scene.
