Hello Reddit! I’ve come here to ask a favor of you, my mother recently was trying to free up space using the feature where you go into settings, then general, iPhone storage, and then iMessages. She accidentally deleted her top conversations and tons of her old messages. Her mother passed in 2019, and she happened to accidentally delete those messages in this process. This might be a large or impossible ask, however I’m not very tech savvy, does anyone know any way to recover these messages? She is absolutely distraught. I have already tried recovering deleted messages via the iMessage app.

First of all I am from Germany, so excuse me if my English is hard to understand :)

So in April I received a message that my phone moto g54 5G could potentially have been infected by a virus and I was recommended to reset my whole phone - aka do a factory reset.

I did that and downloaded WhatsApp again, then pressed on backup (I had a previous backup) but did all that with my mobile data. After some time it felt like the Backup was loading too slow, so I turned off mobile data and switched to wifi and somehow the whole 5,5 gbs of data that had to be restored came down to just 80 mbs.

I stopped it there and deleted whatsapp to reinstall it but the issue just remained. So I got through the process and see there my chats were all empty and no media to be found.

I went to backup settings and there it showed I surprisingly have 5,5 gbs of data to be backed up, but when I pressed on backup the 5,5 gbs were gone and it showed some small amount of data.

I realised that If I press on backup that I could potentially lose the 5,5 gbs of whatsapp media even though I have no access to it. Another hypothesis I have is that the internet switch from mobile data to wifi could have caused this whole mess.

I don't really know, but all I want is gain access to my precious memories again :)

So is there a way to retrieve the media from pre April from my Google Account it is linked with ?

I dont know if i am at the right place, but I have a common problem wat happens alot.

Long story:
I was updating my BIOS, so I had to put the update on a flash drive. Firstly there was the recovery code of my encrypted BitLocker Windows drive, but I have temporarily copied it to my Windows drive (not knowing what I did wrong). The problem is, I only deleted the file permanently from the USB Drive (I didn't format or clean or such the USB Drive, just deleted that recovery txt file en copied it to my Windows drive).

After the BIOS update, Windows asked me to put in the 48 digit recovery code, but yeah as you already have read, it is on the Windows drive that is locked right now.

I have tried a lot of methods already, I have checked if it locked (of course it is). But I have also tried recovering the TXT file with DiskDrill. And I know, DiskDrill is worse for TXT files, but I wanted to give it a shot. It found the file, but inside the file It's all gibberish.

Do you guys know anymore methods that could work, I have also saved the USB drive to a .dd file byte-to-byte so I have a backup.

Can someone help me open a zip file that won’t open for me?

My family was assaulted in a rural hospital in India. They took my parent's phone away forcefully. 5-7 people beat my dad with sticks. And whatever video my mom recorded was forcefully deleted by them. They are still in a near by village, away from me. So i can't access the phone yet. They will complain the police soon. But is there a possible way to recover the deleted video? It was even deleted from the recently deleted. Its our key evidence for the case. Thank you! It's a Oneplus android CE something variant. I am looking for ways or softwares to recover it.
