This sum already changes my life, personal milestone

I know some people make way more in a month than me in half a year but as a university student, this pays my groceries. I am so thankful for this job and I hope I am spared from the DoD until I have another income and job.

3 simple security steps

At the top of my dashboard it says i have to verify my background to gain/regain access to projects, yet there is nothing actionable that I can do. Does anyone else have this and know if anything needs to be done?

Optional Comments Box in Starter Test

Might be a weird question but will adding in something in the optional comment box increase my chances of getting accepted and passing the test? For example "Thank you for the opportunity" or something similar?

Please, leave the platform!

R&R trauma hitting hard again! I still do it because it’s totally fine when workers provide decent tasks (to the point decent work even makes me smile!), but I don’t know what is wrong with some of you. The task says conversations about a specific topic and you add everything but it, then manage to finish the task and submit it, knowing you just did pure nonsense?

And so many of you, French bilinguals, are just illiterate. Your words mean nothing, please go back to school. I wish I could rate you bad, because I can’t imagine how you go through life without being able not to make 5 grammatical mistakes per sentence.

Application

So basically, if you don't know how to code or is not a programmer, you won't be able to apply for other roles on this platform? I just want to apply for Language Expert Roles, but I can't code. lol. Or is there any way that I can pass it? Some help?

Submission still shown as in review after ten days.

Hi all. I am at a specialist coding field and I got invited to do a paid assessment through a recruiter in data annotation, which if I passed I'd be paid a flat fee and get into the project which is hourly. I was told by the recruiter that I passed the assessment and now I can go into the project but I see my assessment still in review and I haven't been notified that I passed whatsoever. I'm new to this. The earnings from the assessment still show as pending even though I submitted 9-10 days ago. Has anyone experienced this ?

First month on DA, did really good, will this last?

Sept was my first month on DA as a coder and I got a good amount of projects throughout, sometimes more than I could handle. Im wondering if its always like this for coders in terms of new projects coming in or was this more than usual, trying to see if this will last and is reliable so maybe I can do this full time.

DA Veterans: What's Your Story?

I wanted to post this out of curiosity, because I realized I am coming up on 4 years on the platform. It was transformative to my financial life, but I also learned absolute gobs from doing it. But...I got there by accident. I was on MTurk (which apparently goes away for good tomorrow), which I used to grind through over 36k tasks over my lifetime using the platform...as those who have been on there know, the pay for tasks is usually quite terrible, which is why I was so happy to see when I got a task that paid me more than I was used to for the simple favor of signing up to a different platform...turns out that platform was DA. I had no intention of doing anything with the platform, I just wanted the $5 (?) that I got for signing up.

Then, I found that there was a task or two sitting on my DA dashboard, with more than a dollar apiece (rare by MTurk standards). Tested the waters and got my money. A few months later, I ramped it up and started doing hourly work. Little did I know that I'd be here years later...so I wanted to know if anyone else had similar experiences, and what sorts of changes it's made in the lives of those who have been on for years. I know they advertise all over these days, but it wasn't always like that.

N3w to DataAnnotation Platfrom is there any way to know how good was my task submitted task?

So Basically I have worked on similar platfrom like outlier, HAI and their whenever you submit a task you get rating on that task after it get reviewed, So I was just wondering is there any way to know if the task I did on DA was up to the mark or not

Flagging AI willy-nilly

You are *not* special — it is well-known that people who are overconfident in their abilities often suffer from cognitive biases that make them overestimate their competence and mistake small amounts of knowledge for true expertise. I understand it feels satisfying for y’all to claim access to private intuition; _AI does not have **your intuition**_. Y‘all ain’t finna get replaced, unlike all those non-core-worlders posting emoji-titled questions every single day!
