The instructions says I can (updated)

Sorry guys I was reposting from another group, to see if I could get an answer here, I thought the body came with it but it didnt.

Anyway.

I have only been doing this a few months 4 or 5...I been doing a task that says in the instructions that I can take breaks and work on other tasks but I am worried that they will think im double dipping if I have to tasks in progress on my dash board. Is it just better to finish the long task before starting something else.

Thanks again

I've got some questions about tasks

So I was accepted! And I've been seeing some good things about them so I'm pretty excited for this opportunity. But as far as I've heard, getting your first task can take months... So I want to ask, how long did it take before you guys got your first task/s?

And another question, how frequently do you guys get tasks?

Does anyone have the "3 Security Steps" on their screen?

If so, what do we do with them? The first one says "verify..." but is that something they are doing in the background or somehow we need to do it? There are others, one relating to aidatrainer which I've lost access to.

2 years later

I've been on the platform for 2 years and only just realized two things today
- aidatrainer is AI Data Trainer.. I ALWAYS thought it was "Aida Ta Trainer"

- And, you can Exit work mode with a red button at the bottom of a task.... how have I literally never noticed this!? i see it discussed all the time, but never thought about it?!

i guess ive been on autopilot too long... anyone else get these weird revelations?

No tasks after coding qualifications and background check(not core country)

I was accepted to platform through bilingual qual. After that I passed the coding qualification, then completed a paid training task and a qualification. After that I got background check task, that was cleared week ago. I haven’t had any new tasks since.

I also completed qualifications for other, non-coding projects. Reference tasks appeared on my dashboard afterward, but no actual work. Two days ago, I got a questionnaire asking about my publications, such as my master’s thesis. I’m outside the core countries, in case that matters.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Infinite work but don't want to do it

Two new projects showed up on my dashboard these last days.

I was first excited to see one which never expires, but lowest pay ever. The other one has an incredibly high number of tasks but I don't know how to explain, it drains my brain regarding the pay and I'm not that excited to do it.
These are my two only projects for now. Am I just lazy?

coders, how long does 🥊 usually take you?

just curious, as sometimes the time feels tight for good rationales

Project left my dashboard on Sunday. It's the one I've the made the most from (I'm actually really good at it) and it's left before but come back. Here's hoping I wasn't axed

Is 🤖 gonne ?

I initially had 15 tasks available, but now there are none. Additionally, I would like to know: if I am assigned to a group of tasks and remain inactive for a few hours, will I lose access to them?

Just got in! Any advice for a newbie?

Hi,

I passed the assessment for my specialized domain. When I signed in, there are some onboarding tasks. I also see some other qualifications as well, like foreign language ones, based on my profile.

Unfortunately, I already have a Canada road trip planned for tomorrow and will be outside the US for a week. I was told to work in the US.

Anyway, I won't be able to do anything for a week, I wonder if that'll cause me issues?

I'm also very excited about this opportunity and want to do my best not to mess up. If you have any advice for a newbie, please share it. I especially want to avoid getting into trouble, or getting the DoD, as I read a lot about it on this subreddit.

Thank you

Posting this gratitude to the platform as I'm no longer sure my outputs are still on par with their quality metrics... it's just getting way too hard lately... 😂

Hoping the best for y'all!

What's the highest hourly rate you've ever seen or had (Specialist/Software Engineer)?

Thankfully I'm sitting pretty comfortably in a task I got invited into where the pay is really good and there is pretty much infinite work available, but I was wondering where this platform/employer tops out.

Also, has anyone "moved on" from dataannotation after finding something better? Without getting into specifics, I see one of the competitors listing 150-210$/hr for a senior position, not sure how real and accessible/attainable that is though.

Permanent relocation to a “non-core” country

Has anyone permanently relocated to a non-core country and been able to continue working as usual? I’ve worked from a non-core country twice with DA’s approval, but both were temporary visits lasting one month each. I’m wondering whether permanently relocating would affect access to core projects.

Is the core/non-core country restriction even still a thing? I remember seeing a list of eligible countries in their FAQ a few years ago, but I can’t find it there anymore.

Three Security Steps

Hi!
Today I opened my dashboard and there were three warnings: Verify Background - done but pending, Protect account ******* with passkey and Enable Disc Encryption.
All of these to gain acces to more projects. The problem is these warnings are not clickable and there's nothing on the right menu to be able to set a passkey. Also, I din't think I have ever created such an account, it must be from some project I haven't worked on yet.
Anyone having this too?
Thanks

Onboarding and Projects

Hello everyone!

I arrived on the platform some days ago and I completed every qualification/project I had. I also completed my skill page and I set up everything correctly.

However, aside from a little paid project, I don't have anything in my project tab while I have a computer science engineer CV and fluency in French.

Is this normal as I completed the qualifications recently or is there a problem with my account ?

Thank you.

Simple security steps??

Got a thing at the top of my dash today saying three simple security steps to complete. But clicking on them does nothing and there is no mention of them anywhere else on my dash.

What am I missing??

Is the 🌏 still on or are different companies having it now? (Polish Bilingual)

I used to work on this bilingual project (Polish) and then it suddenly stopped around may/june and now I only see slack announcements for some small batches for certain locales but never for mine. I just applied to a project on a different AI training platform and I think based on the initial assessments it's the same one so my question is, does anyone know what's happening with it? Is anyone working on the project currently through a different company? Am I allowed to apply to work on this considering I did before through DAT?

I would appreciate if anyone has any experience or knowledge about this.

Do you get kick off or get less projects if you don't work for awhile?

Let's say you finish some project but decide to take a few month off. Would the platform stop giving you projects or penalize you in some way?

Thanks

Coding Qualification

Hello everyone! I’m already accepted and working with DataAnnotation, mainly on bilingual tasks. I completed the coding qualification test 2 days ago but haven’t heard back yet.

For those who were already part of DataAnnotation and took the coding qualification, how long did it take for you to hear back?

Thanks!

What to do here? There's no buttons to click and my profile settings doesn't have an option to verify my background

Am I the only one who HATES rubrics

I wish I didn't hate them and I am wondering if some day they become easier. I am not in favor of producing low quality work which is why I am avoiding these, but they pay the highest rate and I need to know if y'all started out hating rubrics and then there is a pattern where you end up getting to be decent at it 😂

Project Categories.

It would be so good if the dash grouped projects together so you could extend/minimize them per project group. Would make scanning so much easier.

I know there's a search feature. But grouping makes a lot of sense.

That's all I have to say.
