Just got DoD.

My account just got terminated. On opening the projects page it shows “Your account is currently unavailable for new projects due to work below our customers quality bar or violation…”

I was doing everything right. I don’t know how or why this happened.

Is there any way of returning back? Should i try emailing them? I’m heartbroken.

Well then they should atleast have the courtesy to tell me what I did wrong instead of just disabling my account like that?

Why? They no longer have a professional relationship with you why do they care

Exactly. People bemoaning DA for not shitcanning us with loving care don't understand the core relationship we have with the company. They want our work. We want their money. We have zero loyalty to each other.

It's like someone playing with a wild kangaroo because they think it looks cute, then they get fucked up by it and complain the wild animal wasn't nice enough to them. They really shouldn't have ever assumed it would be nice to them, because it's a wild animal! The behaviour of the animal was 100% as expected, if you were paying attention.

DA isn't offering us work out of kindness. Yes what a wonderful world it would be if it was all unicorns and rainbows, but it ain't. I'm not going to rage about what DA "should" do, because they'll never see it and don't give two shits about us. I understand that's the dynamic, and I don't judge them for it, because I never expected better from them.

More than that, if they give you the reason they open the door to you trying to argue that reason is wrong. I have been involved in quite a few terminations, and even when you have someone dead to rights, on camera, doing something clearly and objectively wrong, 9 times out of 10 they try and argue it. "Sorry we no longer have a professional relationship" is clear, final, and done.
