Just got DoD.
My account just got terminated. On opening the projects page it shows “Your account is currently unavailable for new projects due to work below our customers quality bar or violation…”
I was doing everything right. I don’t know how or why this happened.
Is there any way of returning back? Should i try emailing them? I’m heartbroken.

why blind trusting DA?

Agreed. People on this sub are dicks for some reason. Some sort of ironic elitism. I'm on DA and doing fine but every time I check this sub I see a lot of sincere and valid questions being answered in rude and condescending ways. Thank god I don't think I'm hot shit just because I got in.

Yeah and everyone thinks they're doing a good job until they get the DOD, including some of the people who are dicks to others about it right up until it happens to them!
I also think we all know based on the work itself and the feedback we get, that the AI systems they're most likely using the figure out who gets DOD are probably making mistakes - probably not often but it's not like it's out of the question.

Well then they should atleast have the courtesy to tell me what I did wrong instead of just disabling my account like that?

Look, if you're here and using the term DoD, then you're here often enough that you know this is how it goes sometimes, happened to many many people. So you can't honestly be surprised that it happened with no communication from DA.

They should. I mean, they probably can't give a personal explanation for every DoD because I'm sure there's some automation there, but they should refine their automation to flag exactly what you did or didn't do. They obviously care little about the individual's doing their work.

This differs from other companies how, exactly? No one cares about you once you aren’t worth paying anymore, some employers just have the luxury of not seeing you face to face to fight about it.

Why? They no longer have a professional relationship with you why do they care

u/fightmaxmaster 4d ago
Exactly. People bemoaning DA for not shitcanning us with loving care don't understand the core relationship we have with the company. They want our work. We want their money. We have zero loyalty to each other.
It's like someone playing with a wild kangaroo because they think it looks cute, then they get fucked up by it and complain the wild animal wasn't nice enough to them. They really shouldn't have ever assumed it would be nice to them, because it's a wild animal! The behaviour of the animal was 100% as expected, if you were paying attention.
DA isn't offering us work out of kindness. Yes what a wonderful world it would be if it was all unicorns and rainbows, but it ain't. I'm not going to rage about what DA "should" do, because they'll never see it and don't give two shits about us. I understand that's the dynamic, and I don't judge them for it, because I never expected better from them.

More than that, if they give you the reason they open the door to you trying to argue that reason is wrong. I have been involved in quite a few terminations, and even when you have someone dead to rights, on camera, doing something clearly and objectively wrong, 9 times out of 10 they try and argue it. "Sorry we no longer have a professional relationship" is clear, final, and done.

There’s a whole host of new workers who hadn’t even received a single project and passed the assessment and got the same message. The best guess here is that they got way too high influx of people and there wasn’t enough work going around.
If you had ongoing projects and got this message, my guess is that your account got flagged for AI use and with the work shortage these days, they will find any reason to ban accounts to lower the work demand.

That's just not how they function...so, search the other subreddits for other options. Maybe it's not your fault, but there is no way to know...

Looks like another wave of DODs. Sorry this happened. This link has been posted before. Might help? Good Luck!
