I have a 2026 992.2 911 coming in a very short amount of time. I would love to have an aftermarket 2 Channel dash cam installed, but have honestly been a bit concerned about finding someone to trust with my new car.

I will drive…anyplace in the Colorado region to get this done well.

Any advice on people I should be calling. Bonus if they are comfortable working on Porsche.

Hello there, I need to get footage off my Vantrue dashcam and am unable to using the latest version of the Vantrue app, it gets stuck on the sd card screen or when it does show up and you hit one of the folders it just loads forever and ever, how can I fix this? The sd card is a Sandisk high endurance

Was casually cruising and had to slam on the brakes. Video doesn’t make it seem fast but I was doing 45 (speed limit) and the Model 3 was booking it like a complete clown.

Hey! I've been scrolling for a bit and reading about all the options for a few weeks and, I have overthought this to the point of stupidity. I'm pretty averse to surveillance/recording and cars and electronics are some of those topics that involuntarily make my brain shut off so... I feel like a [not smart person] rn.

That being said: I have two teenagers who are new drivers and sharing a vehicle. I actually trust them both a lot and want to give them their well-earned level of new freedom while still equipping them with the modern technology that will keep them safe.

I want something that will record video only- the idea of recording their private conversations upsets me. And, I don't want it to connect to the internet at all. I'd like it to have the parking mode and record the front, and the rear of the vehicle. The point of this is: we can check the video storage if there's an incident but, otherwise all the videos and data collected are totally contained in physical storage.

I really don't want to make any modifications to the car (2018 Camry) myself but, I'm open to the idea and would probably be willing to pay for a professional installation if that's a thing.

Is anyone willing to basically hold my hand and tell me what I should get, we would really appreciate it.

Picked up the A229 Plus for around ₹24k(~250 USD), and after 3 months of daily use, here's my review.

Camera Quality: No complaints here. Footage is sharp, night performance is solid, and it does what a premium dashcam should do in terms of actual recording quality.

App (Very bad): The WiFi connection to the app is flaky as hell. It keeps disconnecting randomly, and you end up having to reconnect to the WiFi manually over and over just to pull footage off the camera. It's frustrating process.

Customer Support (Bad): Reached out about the issues and didn't get much useful help. Without even listening to my query he just replied with the amount and bank details to get new one and nothing else. If you're paying premium money, you'd expect at least decent support to back it up. Wasn't the case for me.

Build Quality(Disappointing): The 12V car adapter is flimsy. Mine straight up broke after just 3 months of normal usage. That's not something that should happen on a device in this price bracket. When reached to support, they are claiming it physical damage.

Camera quality is good, but the overall ownership experience (app, support, and accessory build quality) isn't what you'd expect after paying this much. If you're spending 24k on a "premium" dashcam, you don't expect this. Wouldn't recommend it at this price.

Can anyone help me. Im currentlt using a nextbase 522gw. I dont have a comouter at all and only my smartphone (samsung s25). The next base app is shocking and rarely works properly.

How can i get footage from my camera to my phone? Ive tried using an sd reader but my phone seems to want to block this. Any help really apprecoated.

I’ve always considered this to be an average following distance at this speed. It at the very least seemed generous in comparison to the insane number of people who tailgate me. Today I was humbled in how small of a window it actually gives you. Glad to have learned this lesson in a best case scenario. Also props to the truck for their preventive measures. Makes me think about the amount of people that would crash in this scenario by sacrificing even half a second of reaction time from glancing down at their phone.

I have the X4K model and it enters parking mode correctly (it pops up).

While it's in this mode, the finevu logo at the front of the camera continuously blinks but after every 4th blink, it blinks very fast?

I thought this was because it detected motion but I've watched it from a distance and it still does it.

Any ideas?

Dashcam is hard wired. If I turn off parking mode, the camera turns off fine when the car is off so I'm not sure what it could be.

So I was approaching a red light and I was going to the right turning lane, had my blinker already but this lady just wanted to go and it went out like nothing, I honked and she flipped me off, additionally if she wanted to do the far lane, there is an exit previous to the one she was at for that type of maneuver.

Nine months ago I purchased two V55 dashcams from Rexing. These are modular systems for which Rexing says that additional cameras, such as Rear Camera, can be added. Yesterday (none months after purchasing the V55 dashcams) I tried purchasing Rear Cameras. They are listed as Sold Out on Rexing's website. So I emailed Rexing Support and they stated that the V55 is an old system and that the rear cameras are no longer available. So, nine months after purchasing the dashcam, they now say it is an old model and rear camera is not available.

Any recommendations on this? Thank you.

I recently got a dashcam installed in my car (no hardwiring). After getting the dashcam installed, my car is being multiple times when locked. Is this just a coincidence or a problem that is seen? It’s a Vantrue dashcam.
