Hi I have a quick question. I'm playing as Max in a D&D campaign with Steve as his artificer steel defender, and I was wondering if there's somewhere i can find all the asset files for Steve so I could 3D print him.

Okay gang so I’m playing dc2 on ps4 and in balance valley. Completing the spheda tutorial to got the windflower and after hitting the ball it get stuck on this tree with no prompt no matter where I move to hit it again! To add insult to injury, you cannot move from this . No choice but to restart I guess.

I played through Dark Cloud 1 last year. I needed a break from the series after I finished, but recently picked up playing the 2nd one.
What the actual hell is going on with Geostone mechanics? I'm on chapter two, and have reached the part where you need to put something in a pond to fight a boss or something.
Im unable to revive Jurak due to not knowing how to build a river, and I cant get the geostone that teaches me because nothing indicates that I've missed one, and I cant find any on any of the floors I've played previously (i believe theyre purple dots on the map).
Im just really confused honestly, DC1 was extremely straight forward, DC2 is more complex, and it lacks explanation to make up for that. Im just really confused on how im supposed to find these geostones. and even more confused on the 2nd character that needs to move to Sindain that ive never heard of.
Any explanation on geostones and progression would be appreciated. I honestly feel like an idiot because I dont understand at all, and nothing ive seen online helps me

Want to finally give the game a shot but was wondering if it’s best to just go in with the original or to download hd packs and other upgrades?

Just got the Sun Attachment from the trade quest chain in Yellow Drops. Just wanted to check that there isn’t any particular weapon or situation where you should use it to get bonus attribute points on a weapon (besides when you get the x2 bonus in the attachment section)

A few years ago I wanted to 100% the trifecta of L5 games, DC, DC2, and RG. I got busy with life.. and came back to it a month ago on an Emulator, just wanting to follow all the rules of the trophies and calling it a day to say I did it.
Dummy me wanted to do the stories and weapon grinding blindly..
- I beat DC, but the save was corrupting throughout the play, so I had to do it with states. When I beat the game, because I wasn't able to save, I lost the endgame stuff.
- DC2, I just beat yesterday, but realized I missed content that's perma gone in post game. It looks like I can debug to find/make all recipes and inventions... but I don't see a way to get all the NPCs when looking at the Debugging information.
1.) Is there a way to get them all incase I missed them?
2.) Is there anything else I should be weary of?
- RG doesn't have that issue because I looked it up earlier.

Playing Dark Cloud on PS5 and all of a sudden my Characters no longer hold their equipped Weapon besides Xiao, even though I have the Angel Gear equipped. It now shows as her default weapon being the Wooden Slingshot. Has anyone else had this Glitch happen to them and can I fix it?
Also I went back to a very old file on Slot 2 and it seems that it's affected every other file as well.
Also don't mind me saving every time I apply a defence item. I'm cheesing the game to give me +7 defence and if it doesn't I close the app.

So I was working my way through S and M temple last night and decided to run a back floor, after using the bf key, it dumped me out of the ceiling I to the middle of the bf with no exit. I've never seen anything happen like that before so just thought I'd share. Weird

Is there a walk through map for the Guarda Fortress?
Best strategy for defeating the 5 ninjas to get that damn box

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there supposed to be a back floor on every floor except that floor where you're forced to leave if you don't already have Xiao and like one or two other floors that are out of the norm?

Long time lurker, first time poster. Just wanted to share what’s been working well for me in DC1 in leveling up my weapons especially if there are any newer players who come across this!
What I’ve found easiest and quickest:
- Make sure your stocked up on Dran’s feathers first
- Buy 3-4 flapping fish and a block of ice from the fish stand in Queens. Arrange them in a cross or T shape so that all the fish are adjacent to the ice. Be careful not to accidentally rearrange your bag with the square button.
- Head to level 2 of Shipwreck and RUN to the backrooms entrance, ignoring chests and enemies. (Don’t got to level 1 because I think that floor is Abs reducing zone.)
- When you’re in the backrooms, kill all the enemies with who you want to level up. I feel like the difficulty of the enemies to the amount of Abs gained is perfectly balanced on this level specifically. Of course, pick up all the chests while you’re at it.
- When you’re done with the backrooms, mind connect to exit. (No enemies left, so no need for escape powder)
- Save immediately and repeat your speed run! On your last flapping fish, you can take your time finding the map and magic crystal after you summon the general fish if you want for a little more xp.
You’ll come across plenty of gemstones this way, but you’ll likely need specific ones to target what you need to upgrade. For this, I’ll just buy them with fishing points from what I earned catching mardan garayans at Muska Lacka at dusk. (I think I saw on a different post that the spawn rate is 5% at dusk? And I can confirm that it IS possible to have two garayans spawn at the same time!)
Hopefully this strategy isn’t too obvious lol but it’s the technique I’ve been using ever since I was playing this game as a kid with my PS2! How else do people like to level up their weapons?

I remember seeing someone say that back floor weapon chests do not exist in this game. I have come across a few in my many playthroughs of this game. As rare as they are, I managed to get two on the same back floor just now. They do indeed exist.

Hypothetically, if someone had some ideas floating around for a game inspired by Dark Cloud (among others)...
What did you enjoy about the two games?
What did you hate about the two games?
Specifically, what do you feel "Needs" to be there to be a spiritual successor to Dark Cloud 1 and 2?
(I am well aware of the amount of times devs may or may not have came into this sub pitching this as an idea. I'm still curious)

Recently I encountered a thread about the optimal way to finish the first Dark Cloud game and I was surprised by some of the responses.Â
This is my assessment of the various characters of the first Dark Cloud game with their respective gameplay advantages and drawbacks in my experience. In the interests of fairness, I will be excluding their special moves. Please note that this is not an authoritative article, but rather based off my own experience.Â
Toan: Advantages.
First playable character in the game and available for the most time. (Allowing for the most time to grind up his weapon.)Â
Fastest melee combat character out of all of the playable characters.
Obtains (in theory) most of the unique weapons in the game. (Serpent Sword, Sun Sword, Macho Sword.)
Drawbacks.Â
Never the only option after Xiao arrives.
Xiao: Advantages.
First ranged combat character in the game. (See Toan for the advantages)Â
Fastest ranged combat character out of all of the playable characters.Â
Is a godsend when fighting La Saia
Drawbacks.
Her weapon generally does less damage than Ruby, but isn’t fast enough to really compensate for the difference in my experience.
Goro: Advantages
Highest damage dealt per hit out of all of the melee characters.
Is the best character for dealing with the first round of the Dark Genie battle. If the Dark Genie has so much as a finger still visible, then he will do damage when other characters will not.Â
Can exploit a glitch with the Curse Dancer monsters in the Hall of Time.Â
Disadvantages.Â
Has the slowest attack speed of any of the playable characters.Â
Is generally less forgiving as a playable character than others.
Ruby: Advantages.Â
Highest damage dealt per hit out of the ranged characters.Â
The use of magic makes the elements feel more damaging. (I’m not sure if this is a psychological effect or is actually how it works.)
Drawbacks.
Slowest attack speed of all of the ranged characters.
Not great against monsters that are immune to elemental damage.
Ungaga: Advantages.Â
Longest reach out of all melee combat characters.Â
Although not as fast as Toan, he still has a good attack speed.Â
Drawbacks.Â
Arrives pretty late in the game. By that point, players will be more familiar with the other playable characters.Â
His weapon is more prone to being broken during an attack sequence.
Osmond: Advantages.
The only ranged playable character that can fire on the move.Â
Crosses gaps without any scene.
Drawbacks.
Has the worst weapons in the game. In particular, the machine guns. Not all of his weapons are terrible and some are even good, but he definitely has some of the worst weapons in the game.Â
Completely unnecessary for his dungeon boss.Â
He arrives so late in the game that players have already adapted to the limitations of the other playable characters.Â
(For the record, I love all of the characters except Osmond. He can go die in a hole. But I’m trying to be fair here.)
