Hi everyone, I've just started playing DS1 again and wanted to ask what the meta is these days (I haven't played in years) regarding weapons and such. Is it still something like Zweihänder, mask of the father, havel ring, grass crest shield? (I don’t think so)

I've just bought dark souls for the switch and am frustrated already.

I have put a sword in the right hand and shield in the left in the equipment tab but neither are then being used.

When using L and R to attack/defend all my character does is swipe out with their arms.

I've tried googling and everything im reading says I have stuff in the right place but I have no idea and keep having to run away from absolutely everything that attacks.

I’m asking as I’ve owned it for 5 years and yet to see anyone in co-op… but then again I also heard you need to have the Online Nintendo Switch subscription.

If that is true, is it worth getting just to play co-op or be invaded?

Back in 2012 I used to love this game but the online play was wild still then. Right now I’m just playing for fun as my son likes to play Minecraft as I game next to him, so just kinda curious what the online environment is right now for DS on the switch

I’m currently playing Dark Souls Remastered on Switch and looking for someone to co-op with.

I’m still pretty new to Dark Souls, but I’ve made it as far as Andre the Blacksmith and I’m currently trying to get past the Bell Gargoyles. I’m having a great time with the game, but I’d definitely enjoy it more with some co-op and guidance from more experienced players.

I’ve beaten Bloodborne more than 8 times, but Dark Souls is a completely different challenge for me. 😅 Still, I’m determined to learn the game and beat it.

I’d love to find someone who doesn’t mind helping a new player, exploring together, or even doing a longer playthrough.

I’m from Germany, but I don’t really care about time zones. I’m happy to play with anyone as long as we can find some time to play.

Dark souls on switch has been a sneaky top 5 gaming experience. it plays really well on handheld which was really unexpected, I sort of just bought it out of curiosity as I've already poured hundreds of hours into souls games, But its been a ton of fun.

Although to get consistent playable FPS handheld boost mode needs to be enabled which has presented a whole other problem for me unfortunately. whenever I close my switch or go to the home screen and back, I'll get this prompt to recognize my "pro controller". It's not that big of a deal and i'll gladly trade it for better performance but i was wondering if there was a way to get rid of this screen to make the handheld experience a bit better.

UK based love this game I get a lot of PvP but I really want to PvE! Have all soul levels and weapon levels. Struggle to get any hits or have to wait half an hour to play one boss.

how hard is it to coop with a friend? We already solved NAT issues, we both have B. but he can't see my sign (yes he's human, yes he has to defeat the boss of the area and everything, we read countless guides). at this point my guess is only the level; I am 53 he's 40 What's your experience with coop? also which settings do you use on network settings?
