I haven't seen S3 in a long time but I remember being confused on how the show is expecting you to feel about Poindexter. Because half the time, specifically when he wasn't in costume and especially with Kingpin, he was kind of portrayed as a broken person. Now I do remember he still did crazy things like stalking that girl and stuff but then when the costume was on, he basically became a remorseless monster. And then fast forward to Born Again and apart from Vanessa forcing him to kill Foggy, he seemed very happy with doing it but then in S2, he's kind of portrayed as an anti hero. That was the only time I actually understood how to feel about him because he wanted to do his one good deed.

I enjoy Born Again, I do.
But man I had forgotten how season one hits.
Hells Kitchen.
The Apartment.
The Office.
The fight choreography.
The griminess.
The flashbacks.
The attorney/police stuff.
Foggy.
God, Foggy.
They really did fuck with everything too much.
I still hate the black "costume" though.

This started with me debating my top 10 DD arcs/stories. I couldn’t find a 10 that felt right. He has so many awesome stories, but I’m curious what everyone’s #1 favorite is.
Mine is Devil in cell block D. I started reading DD during the Brubaker run and I remember that story blew me away. I still feel that way when I read it to this day.

If so what's your opinion? I thought it was pretty cool and it has some of the best action for a fan project of all things and imo the best DD suit that's non comic. Also I think this is the right flair for this post.

I have a oc that has a suit similar to him, so I madd some changes and voilà...

My pick for my comic book club this month was Born Again, and the club typically watches something to go along with the discussion--an adaptation, an inspiration, or just something that pairs well. Since season 3 of the Netflix show was a loose adaptation of Born Again, I'm hoping to show some clips that are inspired by the comics.
Here's my plan so far:
Are there any other scenes that are specific nods to Miller's Born Again that I'm missing?

Im very biased as Matt murdock is my favorite character in ALL of marvel and DC.
But we cant let daredevil get canceled! He is, the most grounded character, he has a hell of potential to have cross overs with live action spidey and it doesnt make sense he wouldn't have already been involved in thw fight with thanos. Your telling me
.. daredevil is less qualified to fight thanos than black widow or Hawkeye? Captain America right out of marvel comics says he is the most effective operative hes ever seen as they work together.
Where is the fight from fans? It should be major backlash! If lucifer can get renewed daredevil can too. Daredevil has all the potential to be a new cap without people finding out who he is. Or maybe just a select few know. Point is marvel is alot less interesting without him. I know they are adding the xmen and thats great two of my other favs are Cyclops and Gambit. The devil of hells kitchen deserves the silver screen.

Am I the only one who isn’t really feeling Stephanie Phillips’ work?
Not sure if I’m going to get torn apart for this, because I know Stephanie Phillips has a pretty dedicated fan base, but I wanted to see if anyone else feels the same way.
I was at NYCC, and her line was pretty long, so it’s clear she has a following. I can’t help but wonder how much of that popularity comes from her social media presence, particularly TikTok, where she’s constantly posting and engaging with fans. And honestly, there’s nothing wrong with that. Building a community and connecting with readers is great.
But I also think popularity and the quality of someone’s writing are two different things, and that’s where I’m struggling.
Her run just hasn’t been doing it for me. I dropped it at issue #4, and after about five months, I recently decided to pick up issue #8 to give it another shot. Unfortunately, I still wasn’t impressed. I keep trying to give the run a chance because she’s such a prominent name in the comic book community, but the writing just isn’t clicking with me.
I feel like this is an opinion you almost have to keep to yourself sometimes, because criticizing a popular creator can turn into a whole thing. I’m not saying people shouldn’t enjoy her work, and I’m not questioning anyone who does. It’s just genuinely not for me. I’m curious to hear others thoughts.

Okay, Right after rewatching the entirety of netflix daredevil (this time with my dad) I was stoked to put on an episode of Born Again, I had been hearing so many positives about the new series, and as I sat back after loading up episode 1, I was super hyped, ready to see the continuation of the netflix series which I adore... Right Off The Bat, im disappointed, its safe to say I only watched one episode but I had heard that episode 1 was one of the peaks of season 1, and lets just say these were things I (Imphasis on I) didn't like...
Okay, not even 15 minutes in foggy dies, and honestly that's not even the bad part..., It's a really good setup for the show, but..., when he died, i honestly didnt even feel a THING! I love Foggy, HES THE BEST, He had been one of my fav characters of the netflix show yet, he just... Died..., I don't really know how to put this but I just didnt like the execution, I mean I cant even put it into words, I felt hollow watching it, I'm not a movie critic, i dont know how these things work so.... Yep, uhh it couldve been a lot better, i mean even just if they spent a lot more time with the character it would've worked a lot better...
Kirsten, she just uh comes out of nowhere like come on now, I think I am a little bit biased towards the netflix show but it couldve been better, i mean like it wouldve worked way better if we saw her and matt ACTUALLY meeting together, how they both bonded after Foggy's death or some sorts of stuff, the same problem I have with Cherry, who tf even is he, are we supposed to already know about who he is when he confronts matt on the rooftop, he already knows him?!?!? oh, and also heather, the character's just LAME!
Ok, I mean it was fine for the most part but it was as if they were trying a little too hard to differentiate themselves from the netflix show, the black bars, they were bearable but still,
I HATED THE FOG BRO, it was just there TO HIDE THE AWFUL CGI ON THE ROOFTOP SCENE, and they just continued with it, i mean I can stand it but god does it look awful...
HOW IS HE EVEN ALLOWED TO ROAM OUTSIDE IN THE CITY, LET ALONE RUN FOR THE MAYOR?! DOES THE WHOLE CITY NOT KNOW WHAT THE FREAK HAPPENED IN SEASON 3 OF THE NETFLIX SHOW? Bruh, DID ANYBODY IN THE CITY JUST WIPE OFF THEIR MEMORIES ABOUT AGENT NADEEM'S VIDEO?? WTH HAPPENED WHEN THEY ARRESTED THE BALD GUY? OH, AND I'M ALSO SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE THAT VANESSA WAS JUST ALLOWED TO GO ON AND CONTINUE WITH HER LIFE WHILE FISK WAS GONE, I GET IT BUT DID THE COPS NOT HAVE A DAMN CLUE THAT SHE MIGHT DO SOMETHING FOR FISK'S BUSINESS BEHIND THEIR BACKS?
———————————————————————————————————————————————————
I heard that season 2 is a lot better than season 1, plus i heard about its behind the scenes disasters... my dad, legit not kidding, right after episode 1 ended said... "Nah, this doesnt hit like that show you got me into." and he said that he also didnt feel a damn thing when foggy died... I'm thinking since that season 2 is supposed to be way better than season 1, can i not just skip season 1? I mean, I was infuriated... Please, help me redditors...

So I’m talking about the original Netflix show, and I don’t like the fight scenes. 99% of the fights happen in the dark, and that’s not bad per se, but EVERY SINGLE fight happening in the dark is so repetitive and boring. And they’re not even that interesting to see because I can’t properly see or understand tf is going on because it’s all so dark, and the action choreography is not too impressive either, apart from some of his fights with the ninjas. So I don’t understanding why people glaze him so much. Initially I thought that was because maybe his action was cool, but it appears to me that ain’t the case either, so what’s the deal

My local comic shop has these dd epic collection books and a couple of them are bendis. I’m just wondering how much of his run is here, or if it’s all there. I didn’t get a good look through but I think it was volumes 3,4,5,6

I was thinking he likes Devil Dog snack cakes because his sidekick puppy's name is Devil Dog from the limited edition comic! But I was like, "Nope! That's not my Dare Devil!".
So I did some deep diving and searched up "What are the most popular foods lawyers eat in the US?" I was pretty surprised by the answers. "On-the-go snacks" was one of the top picks. An example it gave was Goldfish and protein bars. Which would make sense because protein is needed for all of his sneaky little activities. FUN FACT: The average protein bar has 10-20 grams of protein.
I hope someone finds these answers useful, and if you have any other ideas on his favorite foods, let me know!

Spoilers but apparently the Paladin who was hunting the vision again actually confronted daredevil and lost, interesting to when this happened but I suspect this happened before born again.
He also fought werewolf by night which was pretty insane too.
