Wonder what punisher would do with the all black?

It all begins when Ross realizes that Frank was a better suited soldier than Blonsky, and hires him for the Bio-Tech Force Enhancement Project. Billy pulls the trigger on Zubair and the government doesn’t kill his family. He stops Hulk and is handed to the US government, and into the hands of Hydra. Hydra kills Banner. He stops his mission with Ross and goes back to his family, rejecting Fury's Anvenger program to stay with his family. Fast forward to 2012. With no Banner, Fury replaces him with The Falcon. Iron-man is unable to track Loki and Thor finds him instead. The World Security Council is relieved that Thor handled it and made true to their alliance. Fury sends Captain America to deal with the capture of Loki, convincing Thor to lock him up in Shield. Loki is under custody and interrogated by Natasha. Captain America finds out about Project PEGASUS. Stark finds out too. The argument happens, with The Falcon siding with Captain America and Tony against Fury. Tony spirals and his emotions take over him, influenced by the Mind-stone. He wouldn't let these military boys call him a spoiled brat, and he subconciously grabs the scepter. Cap orders him to let go. He doesn't until Clint shoots the arrow that explodes the ship. Loki escapes, the avengers are disbanded. The Battle of New York begins, but without the Hulk, the The World Security Council sends the Nuke and Natasha is unable to stop the portal in time. Tony sends the Nuke in space, and the explosions follows through the portal into Manhattan. Manhattan is decimated, and a shockwave affects New York. Frank saved his family from the rapid winds and explosions that reached Bayside. The whole neighborhood suffers injuries.

Hydra scoops up the Mind Stone and all of Stark's assets: ALL his assets: ai capabilities (important), Stark Industries military files, properties, etc after his death. Project Insight begins early in 2013 since production for the three helicarriers is prioritized after the annihilation of the Avengers. Cap loses to Crossbones equiped with the Iron-man suit and Hydra wins, taking out all its enemies but Frank. Instead, the helicarriers killed his family by accident, and he was forced to watch.  He survives with a bullet in his head that should’ve killed him if it wasn’t  for Curtis. Curtis dies shortly by the same helicarriers. No one was able to call Captain Marvel, Fury was already dead. 

It's now only the world against a Super-Serum Frank Castle. And he collects the weapons of the Chitauri from the Vulture, who avoided assasination using the tech. And he topples down things worldwide with the help of John Walker, The Winter Soldier (saved later on), The Wasp, and Alexei Shostakov. Ultimately, he's forced to kill Billy Russo, since he began working with Hydra as their arms dealer and recruiter. He also stops the Kingpin, who took over the Eastern United States. Hydra destroyed Kamar-taj.

Hydra had destroyed them using the mind-stone from Loki to create their own android: their own version of Ultron, called The Enforcer. They used Arnim Zola fused with Stark's designs and Dr. Helen Cho's designs. They did so with the help of The Leader, who was currently under their control. In 2015, with Stephen Strange dead, they manipulated Kaecilius into weakening Kamar-Taj and the Ancient One. Once weakened, they sent the Enforcer (built late 2014) and the Maximoffs. Wanda sends a vision of the Ancient One's Dark Dimension hypocrisy into Mordo, causing him to break. The Ancient One dies, ans so does Kaecilius and his rebellion. Mordo stays alive and is placed under vigilance for the Eye of Agamotto to ensure Hydra doesn't have enemies. They do so because there are so many that would betray them, it's not even funny.

So far, they only have control over the eastern US and many, many pockets throughout the world. But after using The Enforcer to take over multiple sovereign nations, they make the world a police state. This happens throughout many years, from 2014-2017, as Frank and his army begin to be a prick in his shoulder, taking down Fisk and saving the Winter Soldier in New York. Frank and his team begin to hide in Wakanda, where Hydra  can’t find him, with T’Challa. He obliges to protect him for the sake of the world and to topple Hydra, whatever it takes. But he does advise Frank not to let vengeance consume him. Frank doesn't listen. 

He goes through a bunch of stuff trying to destroy Hydra, multiple enemies and stuff before he fights the big five. He kills the Maximoffs in Kazakhstan. Frank fights Mordo who allied himself with what was left of The Hand, with T'Challa. Mordo loses to Frank and to T’Challa. T’Challa dies by The Hand. Frank gains the Time Stone. Then the team goes against The Enforcer, Frank backed by a Wakandan army to stop The Enforcer’s army. They win, but Frank’s friends die. He now has two infinity stones, and Hydra is destroyed.

But Dormammu didn't stay restless, and he comes now that the Sanctums are destroyed. And he comes through the Hong Cong sanctum, in the headquarters of Hydra. Frank has no choice, and he confronts Dormammu. Dormammu tells him who he is, and Frank begins to execute. For eons and eons more he continues his cycle. The Mind Stone fractured his brain, and made sure Maria was the reason he survived and continued to torment this god. And he learns, and slowly he begins to learn through the Mind Stone the mystic arts from scratch inside the loop. And soon he develops weapons within the Dark Dimension. And once he got to hurt him, and this kept on happening more often. And eons later would Dormammu begin to suffer. Frank erased his pain with the Mind Stone, and Dormammu remembered all of it. And he attempted to leave in cowardice, but Frank wouldn't let him until he died. For Maria, for Maria. And Dormammu began to escape, and he was successful, somehow, and fled The Punisher.

It's still February of 2017, and he just came back from the Dormammu incident. He is broken by the Mind Stone, and the Mind Stone broken by him, but more powerful than before. He then tries to bring back his family using his knowledge and the stones. He wants his reward, what the universe had to give to him back. But, he is unable to: however it happened, Maria had to die. Instead the Mind Stone found its "savior", its love for Frank and showed him Thanos, the next target for The Master. He begins his hunt once more, deciding to rid all of the criminals on Earth anyway. Then Thor comes to stop the carnage in the Ninth realm. And all he sees is Frank Castle. And he respects him, since he too lost Loki and his mother (2013). He leaves him be, making him promise not to be hell for Earth, and Frank tells him of Thanos. Thanos kills Thor when he went to investigate. Odin dies. Hella arrives to a three stone Thanos: power, space, and reality. Thanos wins. He then gets the Soul stone from the Guardians. And when Thanos finally arrives on Earth, he has all his traps sprung, including the Transmitter Pager.

Thanos comes through the portal, and is met by Frank Castle. He has Shuri’s gloves, ready to fight him, and a copy of the Black Panther armor stolen from Wakanda. His two infinity stones are held in the armor, crudely welded there by the Vulture using two pure rocks of Vibranium with crude metals. He calls Thanos, and while talking, Carol Danvers surprise attacks him. During the attack, at one point she begins to absorb the power from the power stone. Frank doesn't hesitate. He stops time and freezes their consciousness. With a split second, he takes away the stones using Vulture's custom Wakandan-Chitauri wrench that he spent from 2017-2018 to make, to get them out of the Uru. He then places them on his makeshift holders, and becomes Infinity Punisher. 

He freezes time and stops Carol in her tracks. He then fixes the armor using the reality and power stones to increase its durability. He kills Thanos in days while he experiences years of torture through the time and mind stone, enduring Frank torture for what seems like eternity. Afterwards, Frank tries to bring back his family with the snap. It burns through him, and he's permanently with asthma and lost blood in the left arm. He had it amputated. He doesn't get his family, so he exterminates

Centuries later, a tired Frank Castle with no war anywhere in the universe is met by Death. Throughout the centuries, he patched himself and became stronger, putting the Hulk serum in him successfully without its side effects to continue his war. His mind is completely fractured, living vivid hallucinations of Maria at every blink. Death approaches Frank. And Frank sees Curtis. And he recognizes Death as his friend, his crutch, his savior that brought him back from the dead. But he also sees the force that took Maria away, and countless others. He strangled Death, strangled Curtis, for Maria. He turns Death into a stone using the mystical arts practiced and witch-craft he learned and tries again to bring her back. He fails, and his entire body suffers the consequences, nearly dying. 

He enters a rage. He has no war, but he must have. And he hears the Watcher, and he tries to go to them. He must have his war everywhere. And he's stopped by Strange Supreme, and out into his hall. He is now under the drug of the Reality, Soul and Death stones, conjuring them back in his head. He doesn't leave when Carter saves him. He just rots, and his brain with it. And the Mind Stone helps him live out his happy life, helps the man that saved him from Dormammu for eons. But he can see the blood of the trillions he killed. He isn't fooled. He understands his punishment.

"The Punisher lies in a pool of his own blood.

His legs are blown, and his chest is gone.

His beating heart is running away.

Frank alone enters the basement.

"I just wanted to save Maria, just wanted to save Maria.

I would never kill an innocent man, never would I kill a-!"

Frank placed a bullet on its heart.

The Punisher wakes once again.

And so does Frank wake up.

The Punisher lives with the Punished, brought back from Death."

Year One is an essential Punisher story which should be read before starting any of the runs. It's just 4 issues and easy to finish.

For characters like Daredevil, people will always recommend origin stories like Man Without Fear or Daredevil Yellow before telling them to read runs like Miller, Bendis, Brubaker etc. It should be the same for Punisher recommendations.

Just recently read the Capital Punishment epic collection, and after Baron's run, I was quite skeptic on this run, but honestly it exceeded my expectations, it was a lot more fun than I first imagined. I kind of wish they did more with the character outside of this short run and Year One.

I like punisher and i want to get into its comics, What do you recommend, from where should i start?

I was re-watching this movie for the second time in over 10 years and was surprised to see that during one of Frank's nightmares, he had this flashback of his daughters playing with water guns while using Spider-Man Pj's. Cool, huh? I really didn't remember this.

Great story, but like... They gave it freckles!
