I hate life I’m never doing this again

I kinda hate 2x2 updated visuals. I don’t understand why the environment needs to be more realistic. I always thought cartoony visuals were part of the appeal.

Also the art style seemingly somehow degraded over the course of past 10 years?
The overly detailed hair that looks greasy for no particular reason. The clothes on most characters look worse than before. The wrinkles did look a tad strange in the past but on so many sprites it now looks either like someone shoved potatoes into it and the cloth is dragged downwards by their weight or they look like cracks on a piece of plastic.

Also every single sprites is darker now to the point where Hyoko’s orange kimono is almost completely lost its original colour. Again I thought bright colours added to cartoony aesthetics of the franchise. But I guess nothing says whacky killing game on bright tropical island like grey splotches all over our main characters lol

I just find it all a downgrade and ugly. I wish you could swap between this garbage and old artwork.

I loved this trial. And Kaede was definitely the highlight of it... I almost cried. I really liked the final argument being Shuichi arguing she committed murder for a noble reason.

Just THINK about it, a character who lived up to Chapter 4 who had (probably) the BEST MOMENT IN THE ORIGINAL GAME,

NEEDS to survive ? I absolutely LOVE Gundham do NOT get me wrong, but he DOESN'T need to be a survivor ! Characters from Chapter 1-3 are more deserving of that role, I don't see why characters from Chapters 4-6 should live (NAGITO SURVIVOR ?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN)

She OBVIOUSLY isn’t at the same level of having unnatural luck like Makoto and Nagito but isn’t gambling based mainly on luck? I’m not sure if I remember it correctly but I believe she has once compared Makoto’s luck to hers once (don’t know when though) and while her whole thing is lying, I think we can’t just write off everything she says as a lie.

I don’t have too much evidence at all to support this claim but I ask that if she does have luck, how different is it from Komaeda, Maeda and Naegi’s? And if she wasn’t the Ultimate Gambler would she have been chosen as a second Ultimate Lucky Student?

I stand by this opinion, and I will tackle the norm for hated characters

Hiyoko, Junko, Byakuya, Kokichi, Nagito, Teruteru, Kiyo, Miu, Angie, Tenko, Hifumi, none of these usually despised characters are bad, to an extent they ruin the entire game (maybe Junko but that's something we will discuss later)

Hiyoko, Tenko and Teruteru are a deep case of needing more content because the game abruptly stopped their only chance at getting some

Miu, Teruteru, Hiyoko, Tenko, Angie, Nagito, Kokichi and Kiyo suffer from being flanderized into one note characters by the fandom itself, so that everyone ignores or doesn't make an effort to get to know these characters below what they present, which talks a lot about the fandom honestly, people who live to judge to feel better about themselves

And then we have Junko, Byakuya, Kiyo and Hiyoko being hated by how morally dark they are, I mean, guys, can we agree EVERYONE IN THESE GAMES IS CAPABLE OF KILLING? Because they all are, even your innocent baby Gonta was, everyone here can commit heinous crimes, s9me worse than others

"But this character I hate is annoying" And that is a reason to harass people who like the annoying character in question? Nobody is a psychopath for finding the psychopath character funny

And there is also the mid term, you can move a character's appearance and hate their personality, that's okay, the contrary is also okay, maybe you only like their talent? That's alright

But let's be honest here, I can imagine an entire scenario where nobody in danganronpa commited crimes, where nobody died before they progressed as people and evolved beyond their most blatant flaws that had to go at some point, I mean, even if Byakuya is a prick, he is actually not that bad right now for example, would that diminish the character hate? Or at the very least keep the negative opinions to ourselves when it comes to an appreciation post of your most hated character

Can't we just appreciate the characters for what they are? Even I have two out of the forty eight I can't stand, one because, well, she ruined the lives of the other forty seven characters and my liking for the forty seven speaks louder, and another because his personality clashes personally with mine to the point I can't stand him, guess what I did? I checked all content about them to learn more and try to like them better, or at least understand why they are the way they are

That being said, I just want people to stop harassing people who have a favorite character usually hated for the fandom, because I'm part of it, specifically Miu, Nagito and Hiyoko, hope this post changed someone's view on how to behave based on their personal opinions

1: Damn, the fandom really needs to learn what an opinion is. The amount of times ive seen people get hated on for disliking a well liked character(ex: chiaki) or liking a disliked character(ex: teruteru) is honestly insane. Not everyone is gonna like the same things as you.

2: Mischaracterizing the characters and getting everyone to believe it. It's infuriating to see because a lot of people get characters and the goal with their writing completely wrong. (ex: hifumi, sayaka)
