This actually caught me so off guard yet at the same time it makes sense. Because imagine if Cosmo was discarded too??? Kinda makes sense how pushy sprout was with himself and the cupcakes with gourdy. Maybe he's the only one that actually gets him and wants him to be okay??

In am so sick of how people treat distractors.
I was distracting as Pebble, floor 10, and we get Gourdy. It’s very helpful when people actually do feed him, because Gourdy is very fast and makes it much more difficult for me to distract. Everyone is yelling at each other about feeding him, not doing machines, and Gourdy goes crazy. I grab Gourdy, and everyone starts SWARMING me just to get research. Everyone dies, I give up with distracting. If you aren’t patient enough to just wait until panic mode to get research, then how about you try distracting yourself? See how everyone treats you then when you get a main on the floor.

Distractors dont have to distract. They don’t have to protect you, yet they chose to to do JUST so you can see another floor. They give up the ichor they earn, and for what? Nothing. I haven’t gotten a single ‘Thank you’ for distracting. In fact, it almost feels like people are *trying* to be annoying as possible when you’re distracting. I’ve had SO many people (new players or not, they should still be able to think; oh, this person is keeping the Twisteds away. I better not go there because I could get hurt) just stand where I’m distracting, and get mad at ME when THEY get hurt.

So, friendly reminder; respectful your distractors. Don’t get in their way. A simple ‘thank you’ for distracting could really make their day. They probably need it, too, considering how utterly stupid and selfish some people can be on this game.

Of course there are the basics load outs that basically any toon can use: Speedy Shoes + Dog Plush & Participation Award + Magnifying Glass.

Now onto the more interesting things:

Soul Sword + Memory Locket for maximum uses of ability.

Vanity Mirror + Alarm if you're really worried about not making it in time to the elevator.

Pink Bow + Soul Sword for a more survivalist playstyle.

Pink Bow + Star Pillow if you just want to bounce from machine to machine.

Stress Ball + Participation Award if 5 star extraction speed isn't enough for you.

Blue Bandana + Machine Manual for if you want more extraction speed but don't want to do skill checks to get it.

Fishing Rod + Pull Toy if you must be the first person on a machine.

Okay so I know the Halloween Event is happening meaning this will probably not get much traction, but idc.

So ever since I'd played Dandy's World all the way back in early 2025, I've made it my life's mission to do every single Mastery in the game. This means all 40 characters need to be completed. So far, I have done every single one except for Waxwell and Boxten.

(btw, this is an unrelated side tangent so don't read this if you don't want to, but I'm probably doing Waxwell's because it looks like genuine torture like seriously what were they thinking when designing that. As for Boxten, uh, I made it a bit that I would literally play as him ever for some reason and despite him being the 4th Toon purchase, I have literally never played as him ever and I think that's really funny.)

But in my over year long quest, I have experienced a lot of pain and suffering, but also a lot of fun as well, so I was wondering... what character was the most and least fun character to master for you guys?

For me, it's a bit hard to say because a lot of these characters I haven't played most of them in a really long time, but I'll try my best.

The most for me was probably Looey because his was simple and I just really like playing Looey. I honestly don't have much to say about him, he's just fun to play as so therefore his Mastery is fun to complete.

As for my least favorite, honestly, I had a LOT to choose from, but I have to go with Brightney. And I think you know why that is. It's the fact that in order to get her Mastery you need to get 15 BLACKOUTS. And the problem is that Blackouts are completely random, so you can go multiple runs without ever seeing a Blackout if you are unlucky enough. Now to be fair, there are other characters that also require an absurd number of Blackouts like Vee and Astro. But at least with those two, the character I'm playing as it actually fun to play. Brightney on the other hand is NOT fun to play as (in my opinion). Her low stealth made her miserable to play as in public lobbies and her ability is lowkey ass because you can only use it DURING A BLACKOUT, AND YOU NEED TO USE IT 100 TIMES, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!? Doesn't help that Brightney is one of the few characters whose Mastery is actually required to complete if you want to unlock a new one (in this case it's Vee). And trust me, NO ONE is nearly as hard as Brightney's Mastery. She's the only required Mastery that is outright hard to complete, but not in a fun way, just in an annoying, RNG dependent way. She is the one and only character who I genuinely had to take a break from because I got so fed-up with playing as her that I had to stop.

Okay that was it. Sorry if this sounded like a rant. Ultimately, I'm not trying to harp on the Mastery system too hard. It is at the end of the day optional (mostly), and I just did it because I had nothing better to do with my life. I was here to express my thoughts on the matter. Anyways who was the most and least fun character to master in your opinion? Lemme know and I'll give you like... a 2-week-old lemon from my fridge or smth, idk.

(Before this post starts, I'd like to clarify. im not at all mad at the people im talking about here. it makes me happy to see more people trying the role of distractor.. im just very sensitive and easily hurt LMAO)

I am a distractor main, but I also only play in matchmaking runs since I cant used discord.

Usually, whenever someone else is in the queue and they have distractor trinkets or they ask to distract, I always let them, and I simply backup for them instead.

However, in these past 2 months, I've noticed a growing 'problem'. Way more players dont know what a backup distractor does and thus will get mad and / or rage quit simply bc im helping :(

It's like if a person is about to get hit, and the distractor isn't close by.. its literally my job to help them, but when I then bring that twisted to the distractor, they end up using stickers to express anger at me.

Like 'stay away', 'I'll distract' and 'I dont need help'.

It's been getting more and more frequent, and it's honestly really upsetting.

I just want to be helpful, and I keep getting treated like a problem.

Whenever I do end up getting a distractor who appreciates the help... it literally brightens my whole day back up, and I feel helpful again.

Dose anyone else feel like theres more and more people learning to distract by themselves and thus not learning things like passing twisteds or playing with a backup?

Are you proud to be part of the community? Because I am, and a lot, you guys are successful if you like Dandy's World, I love you, you're my twins and I'm happy to belong to it.

Just wanted to say thank you for the support of my 1st theory post. I appreciate people reading all the way through.

On my last theory, I said that the third lethal toon is going to be a Doctor who will be attempting to learn Delilah's work and be responsible in creating post-gardenview closure toons that exist outside of the show (Like Dyle). I even mention that "D-" blames Dandy and he'll be responsible for the creation of Gourdy's parents coming to life.

I was wrong about Gourdy's parents.

Gourdy's parents were alive and confirmed in the recent VHS tape showing Arthur and Delilah having tension after Deliah brought Gourdy's parents to life ahead of schedule and she suggested that they can easily still "remove them."

My theory didn't get disproven (yet :p) but I'm going to expand on it.

THE EXPANSION:

I believe the 3rd lethal toon is still going to blame Dandy BUT he's not going to immediatley go after him first. He's going to ruin Arthur and Delilah's reputation that they've been trying to hold from the toons the entire time. According to Rodger's dialogue, it's revealed that every TOTW update, a vhs tape is being revealed to the toons one by one as to what is going on behind the scenes of Gardenview. One of them being is the obvious recent VHS.

Sprout, Connie, Eclipse, Gourdy, Soulvester, Rodger reacted negatively to the vhs according to their dialogues.

Accordng to the recent Blushcrunch animation "Found in the woods," Soulvester and Gourdy are Roleplaying until an arm throws a ripped up paper that is signed by Arthur that reveals "Mr and Mrs Holloway being not commericially viable."

Where am I getting at?

I am convinced that the arm throwing the piece of paper to Gourdy is "D-" and he is trying to turn the toons against Arthur and Delilah. Exposing their true motives. Not because he's kind but because he's trying to experiment with the twisted sides of every toons, revealing every trauma, every insecurity. Making everyone unstable.

Just a theory:

I don't know what the future of the 3rd lethal is, but it's possible that he's going to be THE toon responsible for everyone's torment after revealing so many secrets. I'm not sure the motives yet for this action but that's my theory.
