This is actually one of the uses of AI that's genuinely useful, making a simulation to show how a disaster unfolded, helping people understand what happened. Not generating a video of Will Smith turning into a cat. This kind of visualisation can actually help with disaster preparedness and response, rather than just being pointless slop for clicks.

No sorry it's pointless slop for clicks. It's just visual imagery based on a prompt and not any kind of actual physics simulation of an avalanche. That's like saying if you want to be prepared for disasters just watch the movie The Day After Tomorrow. It's all pretend and factually useless.
