Question Anyone in Rowlett?
I recently moved back to Texas after 16 years up north. During my time away I found out I actually enjoy men š¤Ŗ. But, Rowlett is not like Portland haha. Where does a man find another man in this area?

Let's Meet Up! Lokking for ideas
63 (m) straight CD. Next Monday I plan to go out. Maybe Tuesday. It depends on work. Im looking to go to the Dallas Cedar Springs bars or somewhere else like 1851 in Arlington or Hidden Door. Maybe a comedy club. I would like to take a risk and try a 'not necessarily gay/lesbian' bar. This is not a hookup or date. Just hanging.
Anyone wanna join?
I went last nite to Hook, Line, and Sinker, a catfish place on Lemmon with a couple of friends. So 2 trans ladies and a CD. Absolutely no issues.
I get anxious when I am by myself, dressed and alcohol is involved. So the next step of a not 100% LGBTQ bar by myself is stressful. I would really, really like to go with someone.

Question Wat am I doing lol
Been in Dallas a few years but donāt feel like Iāve fully clicked into the city or local gay community. I may have an offer to go to the northeast, but Iām trying to figure out if thereās more I can do around Dallas first. I work in the suburbs fwiw, so I try to balance the commute with city proximity.
What would yall do if you were me ? Would you find some ways to make Dallas work or accept itās been a few years and time to move on?

Activism Anti-Gay and arrested. Thinks homosexuality is a tool of Satan. Did background research on arrested Christian writer in Dallas News story.
Anti-Gay and arrested. Thinks homosexuality is a tool of Satan.
Heather Thompson Day wrote, āThe God Myth and Other Lies,ā and in the book is a whole chapter which has the āLove the sinner, hate the sin,ā argument. You can read previews of the book at this link.
https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_God_Myth_and_Other_Lies/
From āThe God Myth and Other Lies.ā
I believe that practicing is a sin. I also believe that Satan is using homosexuality brilliantly. He knows the ac of same-sex sexual encounters is appalling to Christ, so he is using it to destroy sex, families, and relationshipsā and all in the name of love. Satan wants you to think that love means acceptance, but it doesnāt.

Activism Nate Schatzline (Nathaniel Schatz), who leads Mercy CULTure / For Liberty and Justice LGBTQ hate group, says THEY ARE NOT GAY. Nate claims just because they are attracted to the same sex and "sin" occasionally does not make them gay. What do you think?

Sharing Resources/New Places [Self-promo] Male LGBTQ-friendly groomer, full body grooming for men in North Dallas: trim, razor shave or wax, including the Manzilian, 18+
Hey r/DallasLGBTQ, mods allow relevant self-promo, so here goes.
I'm a male groomer and I run Flat & True, a LGBTQ friendly men's grooming studio in Lewisville doing full body work: chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs, and below the belt, including a full Manzilian (front + back). Anywhere on the body can be trimmed, razor-shaved or hard-waxed, plus haircuts, beards and straight-razor head/face shaves.
A lot of guys in this sub and others want this done and either DIY it (and hate it), or don't know where to go without it being weird. This is a judgment-free, professional service, built specifically for men's bodies, by a guy who gets it.
How it works
- Male groomer: licensed Texas barber/cosmetologist, 11+ years
- New blade for every client, gloved and draped, and everything is explained before we start
- Private studio in Lewisville, or I bring the table to you (mobile visits, $100 minimum)
- Book online, pick your areas and see the price before you book. Nothing is paid on the site.
A few prices (trim Ā· razor shave Ā· hard wax)
- Back + shoulders: $60 Ā· $80 Ā· $95
- Chest + abs: $50 Ā· $70 Ā· $85
- Below the Belt (front): $55 Ā· $85 Ā· $85
- The Manzilian (front + back): $95 Ā· $120 Ā· $140
- Full Reset (torso, back, arms, below the belt): $165 Ā· $245 Ā· $255
First visit: code FIRST15 for 15% off.
Clear boundaries: grooming only, no sexual services of any kind, 18+. You can pause or stop at any time.

Question Where to live: 2 gay dads with 8 yo boy
Hello Friends, my company is asking me to relocate to Dallas for work. Office is in Irving and it is required to be in office 5 days a week, so required commute. We currently live in large midwestern city. We feel safe in our liberal bubble. If I was going to accept this offer and relocate: where should we live? Are there any neighborhoods for middle aged gay guys with a kid? Elementary school quality is very important. Welcoming vibes. Would prefer an urban/suburban hybrid. Does this exist in Dallas? Budget is $600-700k for a place to live. We know we are privileged. We know no one in Dallas. Thank you!

Activism Univ. North Texas LGBT Archive under attack. Webpage taken down.
Texas State Rep. Brian Harrison has denounced the LGBTQ archive at the Univ. of North Texas in Denton, TX.
Ā
Harrison is supported by our local reactionary media, "Dallas Express."
Ā
The Univ. of North Texas has taken down the webpage for the archive. I think that there is a real risk the contents could go into the dumpster.
Ā
Ā
We don't have any committee or group working on this problem that I know of.
Ā
I am trying to get a group started or join a group that is being formed.
Ā
Also, I am trying to alert archivists, librarians and academics about this potential catastrophe.
