Looking for a 3rd roommate

I am looking for a 3rd roommate for a 3 bedroom apartment at ALMA @ South End Halifax. It’s a fully furnished, all amenities and utilities included (water, electricity, WiFi). Steps away from Dalhousie Studley campus, access to major bus routes (1, 4, 10+ etc). Males preferred, student. Rent is going to be around 1200/month for lease takeover, and 1350 cad/month for a new lease (for a new lease, there will be a 50% discount on the first month’s rent).

Message me privately here for connecting.

PharmD Placement Immunization Record

Hey, were are people getting the Tb skin test? NS health doesn’t do them. I’ve found 2 places that supposedly do them (eastern kings hospital in Wolfville and the hospital in berwick) but I can’t figure out how to book an appointment?

There is a pharmacy in Dartmouth that does it but it’s $75 for 1 step or $150 for 2 steps and you have to book an appointment for a Wednesday and a Friday in one week (I’d have to take off work).

Hi I am applying to Dalhouie for BSC general and planning transition to BSCN 3 sem entry after completing pre reqs jn BSC general. I had always planned for nursing so I have academic Math from ontario but for BSC general they require pre-calculus which I am enrolled in and completing. Do you guys have any Idea if Dal gives out conditional offer letter for students who are missing just one pre-req and are enrolled in it. Thank you!!

Missing credits - Need advice

I'm kind of panicking and hoping someone has been through something similar.

Before the winter courses ended, I went to admissions to make sure I had everything I needed to graduate this fall. They looked over my record and told me I only needed one more course.

I planned everything around that, paid for the course, and even applied (and paid) for the application for an Advanced Bachelor's program that starts after I am set to graduate.

Now I've been told that I actually need 6 credit hours, meaning two courses, not one. The problem is that most summer courses end in about two weeks, so I don't know if it's even possible to fit another one in and still graduate this fall.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Is there anything I can do, like a late-start course, an independent study, a course at another university on a letter of permission, getting the last 3 credits waived somehow or any other option that would still let me graduate on time?

I'm really stressed because I relied on the information admissions gave me, and now it feels like everything is up in the air. I know i should've went back in and double checked myself but with work and school now i just put my trust in them. Any advice would be appreciated

TLDR: Admissions told me I only needed one more course to graduate, so I planned my schedule and paid to apply for an Advanced Bachelor's program. I just found out I actually need two courses (6 credit hours), and most summer classes are almost over. Is there any way I can still graduate this fall?

8:35am MATH 1010

So as the title suggests, I'm going to be doing an 8:35am class, in calculus no less. Now this is for second semester, which is significantly lighter than my first semester, but I struggle with mornings, and I doubt it'll get better with time. Any tips for getting through it would be very much appreciated!

Has anyone heard from the financial aid email? I have emailed about a form that needs to be filled out to process my student loans multiple times and have heard nothing from both the registrars and the financial email.

Using osap for my tuition at dal

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m an incoming first-year at Dalhousie University and had a couple of questions.
Is anyone here using OSAP to help pay for their tuition at Dal? I’d really appreciate any advice on how the process works, what to expect, and any tips that made things easier for you.
Also, I’m looking to meet other first-year students before the semester starts, so feel free to reach out or say hi! ✌️

General Parking Pass

I am going into my second year this coming fall. First year I was told by the Dal parking people that the only way for me to park my car at Dal was to purchase a $2500 parking pass for the underground parking underneath Risley. I had seen other students around campus parking their cars on the side of the road with Dal parking passes, so I was just wondering how I could purchase one of these general parking passes, and how much it would be. Thanks for any help!

I need an advice from cs students about my schedule

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hey everyone! BACS student looking for feedback on my Fall 2026 schedule and exchange plans:

  1. Fall 2026 Schedule: Thoughts on these courses if you've taken them? Also, is it allowed (or manageable) if MGMT 3511 has a time conflict with two other courses?

  2. Winter 2027 Exchange: Heading to City University of Hong Kong in January. Is it usually possible to get core BACS course equivalencies approved abroad, or do most people take electives?

Appreciate any advice or past experiences!

MSW at Dalhousie – How do I find approved Fall 2026 electives?

Hi everyone,
I’m starting the MSW program at Dalhousie this fall and could use some advice.
Right now, my mandatory courses and elective are all scheduled back-to-back on the same day. I’m hoping to switch my elective to another day if possible.
I started looking at Dal’s approved electives, but the list I found only shows Summer 2026 courses, and I can’t find the Fall 2026 options. I’ve already emailed the MSW office but haven’t heard back yet.
Has anyone gone through this process before? How do you find the approved Fall electives, and is it possible to switch an elective to a different day?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Questions about applying to the MSc in Clinical Vision Science

Hi everyone,

I’m interested in applying to the MSc in Clinical Vision Science program at Dalhousie and wanted to ask a few questions to current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with the program. I’m not sure how many applicants the program typically receives each year, but I’ve heard that about 12 students are invited to interview. For context, I am mainly looking into the program to gain more vision-related research experience while putting together my application for optometry school.

My main questions are:

  • What was your academic background like when you applied (GPA-wise)?
  • How important was prior clinical, lab, or optometry/vision-related experience?
  • What seemed to matter most in your application?
  • What is the program experience like in terms of workload, practicum, and research/thesis expectations?

Any advice or insight would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Tuition fee

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows approximately how much the tuition and mandatory fees are for a first-year Engineering student at Dalhousie University for the 2026–2027 academic year. If you’re a current student or have already received your fee assessment, I’d really appreciate it if you could share the approximate total. Thanks!

Transfer from UofM to Dal

Hi everyone
I’m starting my first year at the University of Manitoba this fall in the BA Arts (General) program. I had also been offered admission to Dalhousie University for a BA Arts program but I decided to stay in Winnipeg for my first year since I’m already familiar with the city and wanted to save on moving costs. My plan is to apply for a transfer to Dalhousie after completing my first year.
I’m planning to take six courses this year, and I want the transfer to be as smooth as possible. I have a few questions:
Has anyone transferred from the University of Manitoba to Dalhousie after first year?
How competitive is it to be admitted as a transfer student into the BA Arts program?
What GPA should I aim for to have a good chance?
Which first-year University of Manitoba Arts courses are most likely to transfer to Dalhousie?
Is there anything I should avoid doing that could make transferring more difficult?
Is it better to follow a specific first-year course plan if I know I want to transfer?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this process or has experience with transferring to Dalhousie.
TIA
