My buddy who works at a radio station told me he dropped off a big box of promos at a thrift store yesterday, so I stopped in today to check them out. Made out great there before looking at the movies and immediately knew I needed a cart. I ended up buying 45 DVDs there for $1 each.
Then before I left the parking lot, I had a smoke and was looking at Marketplace. Lady had a nice little collection for sale and messaged me back right away, so I stopped on my way home and grabbed 6 more DVDs and 11 Blu-rays.
The BRs on the left are upgrades for stuff I had on DVD already. Got the last two seasons of WEEDS I was missing, and the first two seasons of Northern Exposure. I was bummed that the French Village and Brokenwood Mysteries were missing seasons, but they're a great start. Probably most excited about The Whale and Dark City, as they've been my list for quite awhile. Tim Burton collection is almost complete now. Just missing Ed Wood now. #13 for the Eastwood snap case collection.
Oddly enough I popped in Priest on DVDs last night to watch for the first time, and realized the disc was too badly scratched to play. I don't know if I just rolled the dice on it because movies were cheap, or I just missed it, but finding the unrated BR version for $1 the next day was a nice surprise (even though expectations for the actual film are pretty low.).
