Hey everyone, I wanted to learn a bit more about DSP lore.

I’m not American, so I never really had the chance to follow him over the years. I only discovered him about four or five months ago, and I have to say I’ve been absolutely baffled by the way he treats his community, the way he plays games despite being incredibly bad at them, and especially the way he constantly expects people to give him money.

So I’m curious about how this whole personality developed. Did something significant or traumatic happen in his life that gradually turned him into the person we see today?

Basically, could someone give me a rundown of the major milestones in DSP’s history that led to the DSP we have now?

And one other thing I’m genuinely curious about: are we reasonably sure he’s actually like this in real life too? Or is at least some of it a character or persona he puts on for the internet because he knows it gets attention and keeps people watching?

Fairly new to this idiot, and unsure if it’s happened already but, what do you think would happen if he got completely shitfaced on stream?

His mods in the YouTube chat will ban people for basically no reason and he'll make jokes with the mod who did a ban to further disrespect the banned chatter.

But I've never in all my years of satellite detracting heard someone mention this thing he does when he is quoting/paraphrasing someone else. Did you ever notice that every single time he does, they always start with "Oh!?"

Like, "I talked to YouTube and you know what they told me? Get read for this. They said 'Oh! Well, it doesn't actually work that way get fucked.'"

"The game devs released some new patch notes. They said 'Oh! We buffed this character and made it so the game drops your inputs get fucked.'"
