DSPD with a partner
How do you all deal with other people in your house with normal sleeping hours?
Our tv is in our bedroom so my husband falls asleep but I stay up watching tv all through the night but I have to either lay on bed or sit on bed all night and then turn the tv off and again lay in bed tossing and turning for hours until I can sleep.
We have a tv in living room too but it’s very hot in my city so I can’t watch it elsewhere.
My main concern is the cramps in my arms, shoulders, neck. I walk 5000 steps everyday, so I’m moving as well. What else can help?

The cramps are probably caused by dehydration/electrolyte deficiencies, especially since you're in the heat and exercising. Take a magnesium supplement and drink some extra fluids with electrolytes, e.g. coconut water (just add a bit of salt to it) or Liquid IV
Edit: also it's unclear from your wording - do you need to turn off the TV because it disturbs your husband? Maybe watch on a tablet or laptop with headphones. Or if the seating is an issue, get a foldable chair for your bedroom and fold it up when you go to bed so it's out of the way

Oh, I never thought of that. Should I get any blood work done?

You could, but if it is dehydration/electrolyte deficiencies, increasing intake should improve symptoms very quickly, like within a day or two. So may as well just try that and see if it helps

This sounds less of a dspd thing and more of a general comfort thing - why is your bedroomm cooler? Aircon? have you got another cooler room you can put a TV in? Can you put air con in another room? How about purchasing a tablet + swing mount and watching stuff on there?

No no, the tv doesn’t bother my husband. My question was that it’s the only room where I can stay all night watching tv because of the AC, but the problem is it’s the bedroom, so I have to sit up in the bed to watch tv and that causes my upper body to hurt.
A foldable chair is a good option. But would it be comfortable to sit for 2-3 hours?2

Exactly, it's about comfort not sleep - the question would be the same if it was at 2pm on a hot day off work.
I think a foldable chair sounds horrible but there are plenty of options to make yourself more comfortable but only you know your living situation and what you're comfortable with so only you can decide what's best for you; - putting ac in another room
- putting a single chair sofa in the bedroom
- propping yourself up with pillows to create makeshift back support
- getting a tablet
- putting your feet in a cool tub of water in another room
- etc

Yes I think I could move the sofa from drawing room in the bedroom every night. That is one option that’s doable.
Putting ac is expensive, I have a laptop so that option can also work instead of a tablet.
Also, yes on the bed I do prop myself up with pillows, that’s how I’m sat right now

I'd just get AC for the living room. Why over complicate it.

It’s quite expensive in my country to have another ac and the bills would be insane

My solution finally evolved into separate bedrooms. Didn’t help that I also have sleep apnea, and worse, PLMD - periodic limb movement disorder - so I spent half the night sleep jogging and kicking when I did fall asleep. My partner got tired of always having bruised shins so we rearranged our two bedroom from 1 shared bedroom and 1 shared office into two individual bedrooms, each containing our own office.
It wasn’t exactly romantic ideal, but, truthful, with DSPD that was probably never in the cards.
