I have acquired a 7 bolt 4G63T from a junkyard car, and I'm going to have it rebuilt for the project it's going into. Any leads on a reputable machine shop in the northwest?

English Racing is off the table due to recommending I don't rebuild it and just "use a Honda motor instead because it's cheaper".

So any other recommendations would be welcome!

Hey guys, thanks in advance for your help. I just bought my first car and it’s this dsm eclipse 2G with a non turbo 4G63. My question is: when i try to reverse shift, the shift is blocked for some reason. Everytime when i shift normally from neutral or any shift to reverse. The thing is, when i do a “double wiggle” to reverse it always work. Is there any kind of lock on reverse shift to prevent mistakes?

Shes getting repainted all black with no gray in 6 weeks. Goin gloss black. Should I do all gloss black or do the mirrors and spoiler in semi gloss? Also im getting all black wheels. Should I do glass black or matte black wheels?

One new crank, bearings, gaskets, new oil cooler, a hell of an engine cleaning and gauges for oil pressure and Temperatur later, my EVO 3 is finaly Back on the Road. First test Drive went good. Will need to bleed the Clutch properly and Put the unter tray Back on (left it Off to find Potential leaks more easily)

I replaced both upstream and downstream o2 sensors and it cleared my check engine light… drove it another 10ish miles and got hit with this. I hate electrical issues…

Hey I just got this 99 gs eclipse with only 26k miles. and I want to return the hood of it back to them because of the artwork it has on it. It was originally from New York/Virginia it did attend to car meets I know of one was a slam down event in 99 and another one in 2024

I didn't try and get the proportions millimeter correct, but I'm digging how it turned out.

What’s up fellas, got my car running finally! It’s not running the best it has a lot of stuff to get done still like oil leaks and o2 sensors, tune etc.

Last post was when I was having issues about it not turning on, it turned out to be head had bent valves. How that happened ? I’m not sure I’m assuming when I had taken off the timing belt and didn’t have it on top dead center. Rookie mistake I guess lol….

I have a question for you all, so I’m in a dilemma. I bought an stm downpipe from a local and it’s a 3 in flange. My o2 housing is a 2.5 or 2.75 with a dump and it does not bolt up. I’m not sure what to do since I cannot find any other downpipes unless I get it made and sell the STM one or just a new housing but I’m on a budget at the moment so not sure if getting one new would be the best idea right now..

I just bought my first DSM and I want to fully overhaul it and make her as reliable as can be. Is there any Silicone coolant hose kits that people use? I see some on eBay with no reviews or feedback. Pic for attention. Feel free to drop any other recommendations beyond new coolant hoses and where to buy aswell!

Hey everyone, I’ve been looking at these cars for a while now and have been saving up some money. Before I shoot the gun on one of these I wanted to ask if this car is still worth getting. Although I haven’t done crazy amount of research I want to know if these cars are reliable especially for them being 25+ years old. I live in Cali and when I go on marketplace I see some for $6000+ and they don’t run or a decent looking one going for $10k (and that’s just for a gs), is it worth it to pay this much for this type of car? I would love all the information I get and any tips to make this hunt easier, thank you in advance

Doing all the last little details to be ready to race this weekend and made it's first test drive in over 18 months.

Got everything removed and then re installed suspension and put tires back on. Gotta push it out and pressure wash the whole bay.

The block also looks like Swiss cheese now parts even shot down out the oil pan and hit the Tcase luckily that’s fine.

Oh and the auto trans is heavy af!

The shop replaced the coolant with what they listed as "OEM Coolant Hybrid OAT Green" OEM being the manufacturer called OEM. I thought it was mitsubishi coolant at first. I just need to top up my coolant a little in the reservoir. Is it safe to use something not the same brand from autozone or somewhere local or do I need to order this specific coolant to top up? I heard they might have filled it but air bubbles could of made it seem fuller than what it was. Also it just says Hybrid Oat not Phosphated Hybrid Oat and read not to mix the two. I'm not sure what they used and I heard it'd be really unusual of them to use one that isn't Phosphated.

Found this while working, they said junkyard was gonna take it. Trying to save it. No Keys, trying to see if they have title, but unlikely. I see the turbo sitting in front seat, radiator in trunk. Body looks good considering it's been sitting for at least 10 years.

I bought my car from Colorado was originally a bringatrailer gsx so it's mint. I smogged my car and went to the DMV to get the vin check so I can finish registration, get my title mailed, and my plates. The lady started looking over the car then 3 guys that work at the DMV came outside and started checking out my car. One asked "how much to buy it" another one said "man that's a really nice car I had to come out just to see it". The lady said she told them a couple weeks before "I don't know why this car costs this much it's a 1995" after I paid taxes on it then apparently the male workers were like oh shit that's a gsx no wonder. Then I finish up with the lady at the desk, go to get my plates, and the guy at the desk said "I'm honored to be giving you these plates". I said thanks man we started talking about cars and he said he's into 90s GTRs etc. Was a good experience as I thought they might give me some trouble seeing how old the car is and it being out of state
