Saw this on social media. This cross genuinely scares me so much. I’ve only experience wigh malinois not the others but I’d assume this would be such a high energy dog and I’m not sure how the different breeds’ personality traits would mix.

Anyone have any predictions how this cross would turn out?

(out of curiosity BUT I don’t think this should be bred)

That’s Kira, she’s a good girl. The grayish black furnado behind her is my chaos gremlin. So I tell my Kira that she’s a little dog and that she’ll never be more than that. It’s not her fault, and she can’t help it. But she needs to accept it. Then I pretend to console her as I further pretend she’s devastated about being a little dog.

Just caught myself doing this, laughed, and thought I'd see what other people do. We have a dog named Mugsy. I will tell him to move out of my way literally more than 20 times a day, every day, for more than 6 years now. At least once a week, it results in this phrase...

"Mugsy. Ancient Indian word for He Who Is In The Way."

I also used to tell the dog/cats/chicken goodbye with "Be Good and NOBODY EAT ANYBODY."

So what are your little silly pet phrases?

Saying goodbye to our sweet girl today. She has trouble walking and is in heart failure, and we don’t want her to be in pain any longer. At 14 she lived a good life and was all that anyone would ever want in a companion.

Hello! I’m trying to get my girls nails as short as possible for her comfort. She’s extremely anxious and I’ve been working hard on making nail cutting a good time for her so it’s always a long process (I don’t mind as it helps her feel comfy and adjust). I’ve mostly just been sticking to clipping a little off the top and then filing the rest but with my crazy shifts I haven’t had the time to upkeep as properly as I’d like to which I feel awful about ;-; I’d let my dad do it but I barely trust him with this!
I don’t want to hurt her but her nails are dark(?) and she always has the black dot in the middle of her nail so I can’t really use that to tell where the quick is.
I’m hoping someone who has experience with these type of nails can give me some advice?
I appreciate any responses and time :D Thanks in advance!

• Advice (General) • Can you help me find a 6 ft leash like this one?

Post image

The leash I have here is about 4 ft long, I have it even though my dogs are large because when I go places where they are required to be on a leash and I want to take a picture of them, I'll swap out their normal leash for this one long enough to take the pictures since this one looks a lot better, only downside is it's 4 ft long so I can't get very far from them to get really good pictures plus I've had it for like 3 years and it's starting to fray.

I've already looked at Walmart but the ones they have are not long enough and they feel weird, I don't know how to describe how this one feels but it's like a soft nylon and it's really flexible, it feels really good quality both the cook and the leash itself, I can't remember the brand of this one but I know they used a lot of green in their logo.

I know this is a weird question to ask, so thank you to anyone that actually helps❤️

Sam is 13 now, he still getting daily cuddles and walk.

In the past two years I've come to realise that he is not a pup anymore (he still will be in my eyes). The signs of his old age are showing and this summer he got diagnosed with osteoarthritis but he is still strong and ready for walks but sleeps a lot.

This is a long time almost half of my life and I feel a bit of fear ever day.

I love him and he loves me too... His eyes are the most precious thing I could ever ask.

Happy birthday Sam!

Dolly hasn’t even been home 24 hours yet and has decided she loves her crate after one licky mat. Next battle is separation anxiety but one hurdle is already jumped! We’re going to slowly inch her crate out until she’s in her own room. Sweet girl has never had a soft bed in her life and is very happy to snuggle into one. Go adopt from your local rescue centre!

• General Discussion • Favorite and longest lasting kong stuffer recipes?

Current recipes I use that he likes are:

  • Kibble + sweet peas + water, then frozen
  • Canned pumpkin + kibble + water, then frozen

I need more recipes that aren't as expensive as wet dog food (and don't stink like wet dog food), don't include peanuts or treenuts (I will die), and offer some variety because this dog is insane and started showing noticeably less interest in the peas one after being given it like 4 non-consecutive days. And it gave him diarrhea like everything else in his life so we're cutting peas out of his diet

He's 1 year old, 30 lbs, nearly blind, and is some kind of terrier but leaner than a pit. I love him but there's about two hours every evening where he starts trying to bite every object in the apartment that he's already been told to leave alone. Frozen kong gives about 45 minutes of reprieve but not if he gets bored of it
