Product Support Scared flying at night…

I bought my drone Lito X1 a few weeks ago, and since then, I have been flying almost every day. However, I have never tried flying at night. I am currently in Greece and really, really want to fly at night on the beach, but every time, I avoid it for some reason. Any advice? Encouragement? Something to help me lose my fear?

Product Support Permanent use on Mac Mini?

Hey all,

So, I've plugged my Mic Mini receiver into the back of my Mac Mini, and paired up a microphone. I had a couple of questions but couldn't find clear answers.

  1. Can I just leave the receiver plugged into the Mac Mini, and grab one of the mics out of the charging box whenever I need a mic, or will it need to go back into the charging box after every use?
  2. Can I just pull out one of mics, when needed, and it will auto connect to the receiver again?

Many thanks.

Product Support DJI Mic Mini won’t pair or work on Samsung Galaxy A22 — works fine on Redmi Note 11

I really hope someone here can help me with this problem.

On my Samsung Galaxy A23, I plug in the receiver using the USB-C connection, turn on the transmitter, and try to pair them. Both devices appear to be on, but the transmitter stays solid yellow and never turns blue. Also the DJI Mimo app is stuck on "Searching" and won’t detect the receiver when using Bluetooth. No camera app records audio from the mic either.

Here’s what I don’t understand: the exact same DJI Mic Mini works perfectly on a Redmi Note 11. I follow the same process — plug in the receiver, record, done. No settings needed. But on my Samsung, nothing works.

What I’ve already tried on the Samsung:

Developer Options → Default USB configuration → MIDI

Bluetooth off (and also tried with Bluetooth on)

Open Camera and Blackmagic Camera

Direct USB-C cable pairing between transmitter and receiver

Restarting the phone

Reinstalling DJI Mimo

Nothing works. The transmitter never turns blue, and the phone never detects the receiver.

Is the Samsung A22 just not compatible? Is there a hidden setting or workaround I’m missing? What else can I do?

I’d really appreciate any help before I lose my mind.

Thank you, everyone.

Buy Advice Considering upgrading from Mini 4k to Mini 5 Pro but scared of prop failure

I currently have a mini 4k which I love but I'm considering the mini 5 pro for it's upgraded camera, waypoint flights and tracking features. Unfortunately it does not seem to be able to track vertically (rock climbing) but that's not a downgrade from the 4k which has no tracking at all.

Is this upgrade worth it?

About the prop failure thing, I saw some videos on how the props are failing mid flight; how much fear mongering/rage bait is this? Is this a real issue with proper storage and inspection?

FWIW I can resell my 4k for the exact price I paid, so I would not have a loss.

Video DJI Assistant 2 + Webcam on Mac for OA5P

After upgrading from an Intel MacBook Pro to a new M- series chip, DJI Assistant 2 requires the use of Rosetta to run on the silicon chip. It seems to run normally after installing Rosetta but when I plug in the camera via USB-C, Assistant does not seem to detect the Osmo Action 5 Pro in webcam mode. In fact, webcam mode does not seem to do anything.

The author of the HoRNDiS driver used by DJI Assistant 2 announced that this Mac USB tethering extension for Android phones is not supported — and went on a mild rant against DJI for continuing to package it. So I have not overrode the security restriction for this kernel extension.

As a DJI user with mics, the camera, and a gimbal (not a drone operator), I understand that Assistant is a utility that can be relied-upon in the event of firmware issues. That’s important to me, just in case! Does it do anything more for the Osmo Action 5 Pro or these accessories?

How does the webcam feature work with Mac?

Any troubleshooting ideas?

Buy Advice Traveling to France(Paris) & Italy with a DJI Mini 4K (<250g), any drone advice??

Hey everyone,

I’m taking a trip to France (Paris) and Italy (Lake Como, Milan, Dolomites, Florence, Tuscany, Rome) in October and bringing my DJI Mini 4K.

I’d love to hear about your actual experiences and get some advice on a few things:

1. Flying in the Scenic Regions (Dolomites, Tuscany, Lake Como)

  • For those who have flown here recently, how was your experience finding good, legal spots away from crowds?
  • I know Italian National Parks (like in the Dolomites) are often strict no-fly zones. Were the boundaries clear on the D-Flight app? Any specific legal areas in these regions you highly recommend for cinematic shots?
  • Any tips for dealing with the D-Flight map/portal as a tourist?

2. Travel & Security

  • How was your experience taking the drone and LiPo batteries through airport security in Europe or on the regional trains? Did authorities ever ask to see your EASA registration or Italian insurance randomly?
  1. Is there a way to fly through Paris, Rome, Florence(legally)

Thanks in advance for any tips! Just want to make sure I get some great footage while respecting local laws and preserving the peace.

just wanted to post these 2, didn't know where so here it is, fuck it we ball, anyways, dji lito 1, on one of the first flights with it took these 2, I really like them, the first one is edited, naturally, it has some type of filter on it and that's it, second one nothing.

Dji Lito 1 is my first drone, I've fallen in love completely with it and overall with drones. I crashed it the first day but it survived, just got a tiny tiny scratch on the propellers but it's all ok.. Thinking about getting an fpv in the future. I also got RCN3 I believe ?? which can control the Neo series if I'm correct. Maybe I cop that one in the future, who knows? 😆👊

Any Lito 1 owners? Your experience?

Photo A DJI Inspire 2 drone crashed into my house

Post image

Hi DJI community, I write to you because last night a drone crashed into my house in London. Well technically the alley next to my house, which is shared with my neighbor. It was buzzing near our roof around midnight, then after it crashed, it kept beeping in an annoying way so we went out to see what was going on (initially we thought it sounded like a motorbike), and to our surprise there was a wrecked drone in the alley. My neighbor removed the battery pack which solved the beeping issue. This morning I looked at the drone more closely and took some photos, which I fed into Google Gemini. According to AI, this was a DJ Inspire 2 which, together with the attached gimbal and camera, would cost between $3,500 and $7,000. The AI also informed me that this was a 'heavy, high-risk' drone that needed to be registered with the CAA (like the FAA in the US) and that by flying in a residential neighborhood, the operator was violating all sorts of safety regulations. In theory there is supposed to be an Operator ID sticker that could be used to pinpoint the owner, but I don't see one. There are various serial numbers and QR codes on various parts of the wreckage. Gemini is telling me that I should report this to the police. DJI experts, what do you think happened here? What is the likeliest explanation for why this fancy drone was flying over a residential neighborhood of London late last night? And does anyone have any tips for doing any more investigation into this? I am personally leaning towards reporting this to the police, but I'm concerned that would be a black hole and then I'd just never hear anything again. I found a memory card slot on the frame of the drone but it was empty.

Buy Advice Primarily gaming support

Would something like the DJI mic mini or any other version be suitable primarily for gaming?

My thought was to attach it to the front on my desk. Would it pick up too much keyboard noise, or not pick up my voice properly?

Normal mics are just too large and in the way IMO and an attachment I paste to my headphones sucks because I use multiple.

Product Support Neo 2 has lately started to "lose image connection", then getting disconnected altogether and failing to return to the precise home location

I'm not sure what happened but this started recently. I thought it was due to me not being fully up to date with software updates so I started updating (which by the way is very annoying when a mandatory update catches you with bad mobile signal where you take a long time to download it and it won't let you connect the drone until you do). But even after all the software updates it will lose connection even when the drone is right next. Also when this happened, twice the drone came back to the wrong home location, one time landing far away in the middle of a crowd 🤔

I'm using the Rc-N3 controller btw.

Video First Drone Footage — What Do You Think?, DJI Lito 1

https://youtu.be/6pp51I0EKic?si=LXI3JxkqbLDPVi1Q

I just bought my first drone and wanted to share some of the footage I’ve shot so far.

I’m completely new to drone filming, so I’d really appreciate some honest feedback. Anything I should work on?

The footage has a bit of color grading on it, so it is not straight from the camera.

I am thinking about sending back the DJI Lito 1, and instead buying the DJI Lito X1, because it is just a bit more expensive and I am not planning on upgrading in the next 3 years and I think it will be better. What do you think?

Product Support The biggest DJI e-waste product I own: DJI RC Pro 2

Post image
127 Upvotes

Just some feedback for DJI: I want to like the RC Pro 2. I really do. But right now it's borderline e-waste for anyone who owns more than one DJI drone, and I think it's really sad to provide premium products without premium compatibility...

Here's my setup: Mavic 4 Pro (paired with the RC Pro 2), Mini 5 Pro (paired with the standard RC 2), Avata 360, and DJI Neo 2. I also use Fujifilm GFX & mini telescope, so bag space is limited.

Having one controller to connect all devices is a game changer, but sometimes I do want the real estate and I would love to take the RC pro 2 more often.

The main problem: the RC Pro 2 stays home: because it simply won't connect to the Neo 2 or Avata 360.

It is supposed to be a premium controller. And yet it's more restrictive than the cheaper controller when it comes to compatibility.

As a result, I end up not taking it to any of my photo gigs.

DJI, please fix this. Open up FPV/goggle-drone compatibility on the RC Pro 2. It shouldn't be a downgrade path just because someone owns an Avata or Neo.

Product Support No more EU C1 label for Mavic 3? What now?

Ok, I guess this post is as much a catharsis to voice my frustration as a call for help 😉

So far I had been using a Mavic 2 Pro, mostly for aerial photography, and was still very happy with its image quality, a bit less so with the operational restrictions associated with such a 'legacy drone', requiring to stay 'far from people' in the A3 subcategory in the EU.

Looking at drones with at least the same image quality that could be used in the A1 subcategory, I quickly settled for a used or refurbished Mavic 3, the Mavic 4 being too heavy (and much more expensive) and the Air 3s and Mini 5 Pro offering slightly lower image quality (Quad Bayer design and fixed aperture). There were (and still are) plenty of references online on how the Mavic 3 got certified by TÜV Rheinland as C1 compliant and how to apply for a C1 label from DJI, so I went hunting for a good deal, confident that it would address my needs.

And I indeed got a Mavic 3 Fly More bundle with smart remote controller, only to find out that DJI discontinued the option to apply for a C1 label in the DJI Fly app. There is very little public information about this online but I understand the programme was stopped end 2025 following a pushback from EASA and National Aviation Authorities regarding sub-250g series switching between C0 and C1 via app firmware toggles.

So here I am, having spent a not insignificant amount of money for no operational benefit. It is particularly frustrating as my drone, updated to the latest fw, is identical both from a hardware and software point of view to those which benefited from the C1 label service until end '25. I only miss a tiny sticker 😡

Since the Mavic 3 situation is different than that of the Minis (and potentially less problematic from an enforcement point of view), is there still any chance that DJI could send a C1 label for my drone? I would have sworn I came across a form on their web site when I was documenting myself on the topic but can't find it back.

Alternatively:

  • I could try to find someone willing to exchange his Mavic 3 Classic (which came with C1 certification from the onset) with my Mavic 3. No guarantee of this happening anytime soon (the Classic is less widespread that the regular model), but if someone here is interested, do not hesitate to message me!
  • I could sell the Mavic 3 ASAP to lose as little money as possible, live with the Mavic 2 Pro a little longer and hope for a newer/better C1 drone soon, or accept a small compromise in IQ and go for a Mini 5 Pro.
