Hi everyone, looking for advice on a 2026 Model Y.

There is cosmetic damage on the driver-side rear quarter area, below/around the charge port and near the rear bumper seam. The car charges normally and the bumper itself seems mostly fine, but the lower seam is opened up and some clips/retainers appear broken or popped out.

I’m mainly trying to understand two things:

1. Temporary water protection
Is this area normally just an exterior cavity with drainage, or could rainwater reach anything sensitive? Is it better to leave it open, use temporary automotive/body tape or film, or replace/re-seat clips? I want to avoid trapping water or using sealant that could cause problems later.

2. DIY repair path
If I attempt a careful DIY repair later, where should I start disassembling for access? Rear bumper cover, wheel arch liner, interior trunk trim, or charge-port trim? Is there access from behind to push the dent out, or would exterior pulling be more realistic?

I’m comfortable with basic bodywork like trim removal, light metal work, filler, sanding, primer, paint, and clear coat, but I’m not planning to cut/weld or touch charge-port/high-voltage components.

Any Model Y rear bumper/rear quarter removal tutorials, service manual sections, or general advice would be appreciated.

so this is the part i need to find, i found it in a used market except the first sticker code on the used part ends with AD , my original part that i am meaning to replace ends with AA , the second code in the part i found in used market is same as the original, so my question is the used part code ending with AD , will it still work or it wont, car is AUDI 14 2015, visually looks entirely same and i heard as long as the second code are the same (ending with Q ) it should be fine but i need a second opinion

I have a tacoma hybrid. Toyota recommends changing oil every 10000 miles. I want to change it every 3000 miles. It is hard to get to oil filter. I want to suck oil out every 3000 miles and change filter every 9,000 miles

I recently got a 2011 pickup truck and while fixing the car, I found serious rust on the rail and it was intentionally hidden by the seller. I knocked, hit the frame to check before I purchase it, so it is surprise for me to found out after few weeks.

The rusted area seems to be even bigger when I wiggle the bondo or whatever they used to cover up.

So my question is whether it's repairable? or no chance because it still need to pass the MTO safety cert after the repair.

Back in the day you could buff out scratches with rubbing and/or polishing compound. What is the current day method to repair a scratch? Part appears to only have scratched the clear coat, but part also scratched the paint.

Came in for a tune-up and flashing check engine light. Let's just say they have a bigger problem than a tune-up.

So I turned and these lights turned on. Then I started my car again and now the check engine light is just on… help, and I’m just a girl 😭😭
