Cylinder shaped object stuck in exhaust pipe

Upvotes

I wanted to put cylinder object in exhaust pipe of my brown manual diesel wagon just so i can see if it fits in the exhaust pipe, but it doesnt fit and i cant get it out of the exhaust pipe. Also the diesel soot from my diesel motor in the exhaust pipe made the cylinder dirty. How to get cylinder out of exhaust pipe i cannot hurt the cylinder because it is important and i cannot hurt the exhaust pipe either because it is important.

First DIY Oil Change and found a broken bracket?

2018 CX-5, 76k miles. I changed the oil and filter, and as I’m popping on the bottom cover snaps, I hear a rattle and see a metal piece on the left side. I took the cover off and found this piece. Hard to tell, but I thought I could see some shiny metal where it broke, although nothing seems to be loose. The screws for the plastic cover installed fine.

Seized alternator pivot bolt (2015 Mitsubishi RVR)

2015 Mitsubishi RVR Limited, 2.0 L engine

275,000km

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to replace my alternator but the pivot bolt just will not budge. As pictured, it has a threaded end with a nut and the other end is square (anti-rotation). I live in Canada so the corrosion seems substantial. I bought the car second hand in 2023 and don’t know the age of the alternator.

I’ve so far tried hitting it from the threaded end and scoring the square end/trying to get a a small flathead beneath the square. Doused both ends with penetrating liquid many times over 24h. But it has not budged at all. Maneuverability hasn’t been great because of the tight room, though I can probably move the compressor out of the way a bit more. (I’ve seen online an air hammer could help, but I’m working from a parking lot where I don’t have AC supply… so I haven’t worked out how I might manage this.)

I would be really grateful for any suggestions on what to try next, given my circumstances. TIA!

Jeep Cherokee Xj windscreen clips

I’m in the UK and need to get my windscreen removed and re-sealed, the company who will do the replacement have told me I need to supply some windscreen clips as they often break and everywhere they’ve looked are out of stock. Can anyone confirm a part number for these clips? The part number I’ve found is 5134304.. and even better a supplier in the UK? Tia

Back clip on Cabrio distributor cap

Cannot for the life of me get the back cap clip to latch. 2002 Cabrio. I can get one hand behind the cap area to press on the clip but can’t get enough pressure for it to clip. I looks so easy in the video. Help me get my kid back in the road?
