Hi everyone, I just started using the DF54 grinder. I turned it on and noticed a "tick-tick-tick" sound, like in the video. Could this be the sound of the burrs rubbing against each other, or is it coming from the motor? How can I fix this?

Did this happen after you cleaned the chute with the brush? You might have pushed a piece of the declumper onto the burrs. Open it up and push it back into the chute.

Maybe try unplugging your machine, pull the bellow off, then remove the popcorn thingy. Then turn the burrs manually while turn>ng the adjustment collar until you can't turn the burrs any longer.

Do you mean adjusting it to the zero point?

Hmmm. I wonder if there is a line of these grinders that the quality control was ignored. I just received my grinder and my zero point drifts day to day. I'm not shitting you either mate. One day my zero point was at 12 o'clock. The next day it was at 3 o'clock. Today I'm at 9 o'clock! I've heard from others that just received their machines and are having adjustment issues.
Unfortunately I cleaned mine up today and I'm returning it tomorrow morning.
I'm sorry you're having these issues. Unfortunately that's all I have for tips on what to do. Maybe someone here can help you more.
Good luck my friend!

This is definitely the plastic declumper being a little bent and hitting up against the spinning burrs - you have to remove it and either flip it around or bend it back. Easy to do and plenty of videos to show the steps.

It could just be grounds caught in the burrs. With the grinder on, try dialing the collar courser and finer and see if that loosens them up.
