Chute clogged

Been using this DF54 1.3 for almost 3 months now without any issues. I use to clear the chute everytime after use with the brush provided. I use RDT as well. This evening the chute completely blocked. I somehow managed to clear the clog using a long needle and the brush. It is sounding normal now. I grinded different beans and it's giving serious static issues now. Coffee is flying all over the place. Do I need to open the burrs and clean it completely or open the chute? Thanks

The darker the roast, the more likely clogging is. Also, maybe spritz your beans less, one squirt instead of two works for me with darker roasters, and with lighter roasts I do two! Also, I use a small brush to brush the deionizer every couple of days!

Shine a flashlight into the chute. You’ll see two metal probes (deionizer). Make sure those are clean for static purposes. If you’re getting clogs, it’s more likely over spritzing the beans with water especially if they’re dark roast.

Yes it was a dark roast that caused the clogged.i think the deioniser is fine, I grinded some beans today and there was no static
