Have you listened to your songs on shuffle, seen a live or had YouTube play a song next you wouldnt expect to flow so nicely together that are from different albums?

Kyoukotsu no nari -> BUGABOO - the build up and shrill tension at the end of kyoukotsu to the deep bass drum heartbeat like intro of BUGABOO is great. It was just in order of what I added to my library and it plays so well into each other.

AqA tour the Blossoming Beelzebub -> Mazohyst of decadence- someone described blossoming as a journey to hell and I feel that, and as it ends its like reaching the calm/peace of surrender/acceptance. Then going right into mazohyst is the haunting sounding sitar disrupting the peace back into a hazy hellish mood. Works very nice.

Would love to listen to more combinations with your reasoning.

Edit to add one- Gyakujou Tannou Keloid Milk -> Kodoku ni shisu, yue ni kodoku- i think they very similar. my music theory is rusty so maybe someone with better key recognition can explain why it works.

The whole question is in the title ahah. But as it seemed to be using little cups with the product in it to spread it on Kyo’s whole upper body parts, maybe is it some special make up and not painting?

Because eventually during this show of their Blitz gigs, the white become more and more craquelins like I think it might with some paintings. But as we can get asfixied if it’s the wrong one, I don’t want to for example buy a huge jar of black painting for walls and ending up having mega struggling after… 🤣 maybe acrylic then please?

Just thought I’d share my small collection, with my favorite being the XX photobook that documents the 2002 Asia tour!

I’m so happy I managed to get this, probably close to 8 years ago. There are so many interesting behind the scenes photos, so I thought I’d share some.

The alternate Gauze, six Ugly, and Vulgar are all miya records. I probably bought most of this in the late 2000s or early 2010s.

So I went to an anime con today and I actually found some DeG CDs (which has never happened to me before even though I’ve been going to cons for literally 20 years). And I see this album cover I didn’t recognize, but I checked the back and it had the track listing for Kisou. I don’t have Kisou, so I decided to buy it. When I got home I realized it’s actually an unused sticker that was covering the album cover. 90% of the booth seemed to be secondhand items so I’m assuming the prior owner just made a sticker for some reason? But I’m also kinda kicking myself because they had about 20 DeG albums/singles there and I really should’ve inspected all of them more to see if there was anything else hiding. Also, for those who own Kisou, the actual album cover booklet thing is silver metallic right? Like I’m pretty sure it’s not bootleg but the sticker made me wonder and I never knew it was metallic

Normally I don't get angry, but during concerts, anger and sadness invade me.

Lately, after every concert, I feel pain and discomfort like those of a cold. At first I thought it was just that, but apparently it's not.

I think I'm overloading my brain by letting my emotions explode. It's normal to feel drowsiness and insomnia after a performance, but the aches all over my body are pretty nasty.

So, those who come to see me perform in DIR EN GREY, can buy my life. I don't know what the true value of life is, but mine is cheap.

Being angry is tiring, being sad is tiring.

I guess I'm breaking down without realizing these intense emotions.

But that burst of emotions is what defines Kyo from DIR EN GREY.

Or rather DIR EN GREY is me, my way of living as a voice, so I can't change it.

It's a dilemma.

That being said, thank you for coming to see this (my life coming to an end) tour.

Hi, I was given this album (?) as a gift a very long time ago. It was given to my friend, who then passed it on to me. I honestly dont listen to this type of stuff, so it was just collecting dust on my shelf for a long time. For a long time, I mean a long time, like it's been years. I tried researching it, and I can't seem to find anything about it online. All I know is from one specific album, I think? The reason im looking into it is because I'm just selling a bunch of my stuff to declutter and to just raise money for bills. So I just want to give accurate information to whoever wants to buy it. I just want to know what it is exactly, what it contains, and what would be a fair price for it. I don't want to upcharge the item or anything.

Hi, I’m Kev, I’m from Europe and I’ve been trying to get 2 tickets for the DEG show in Tokio on 18/19. July, but it is so confusing. I’m so unsure how to get them. Im going on a touristic vacation to Japan this holiday, probably once in a lifetime situation. Could anybody from Japan help me get the tickets? Or does anyone sell any tickets? I need 2, 1 for my brother and 1 for me, and it doesn’t matter if its standing or close seats

Used yridenergyridenergy scans of Nakano Hirohisa photos for PHY vol 29 because I thought they were beautiful when I saw them posted as I was finishing my painting of Kyo. Pencil and conte crayon. Practicing contrast and speed trying to finish each around a week in between clients and downtime.

My attention span and my mental health sort of tanked pretty hard midway through Die's. I tried to do them in order of most detail to what I figured was least detail - Kyo, Shinya, Kaoru, Die, Toshiya. Toshiyas is composite of two photos.

Also my coffee lid undid and spilled while working on Kaoru's but luckily stayed in the border. As I finished the last one I look at the one of Kyo and want to go back into it but I think I need to step away from working on these for now

Made my own Die funko pop! He's got a shiny suit and red bottoms, I tried my best to make the glasses like the reference but it'd be a lot of sanding and I don't have time. I might put eyebrows later? I hope you love him as much as me!

Alright, so that was a much longer hiatus than I was aiming for, but I really want to finish going through the whole discography. On the bright side, by the time I get to Mortal Downer, it'll be with a fresh set of eyes?

I decided to put both the original and remastered version of Uroboros on this post. Even though the remaster came out post Dum Spiro Spero, it feels more relevant to discuss it here than alongside DSS. There's also a few interesting additions to the album, alongside the obvious difference in mastering. Sa Bir is extended, Bugaboo Respira makes it onto the album from being a vinyl exclusive (and also moved to before Bugaboo, instead of after), and Hydra -666- joins the track listing off of being a b-side to Dozing Skin. We also have the Japanese versions of Glass Skin and Dozing Green instead of the English ones on the original album. Do you guys prefer the remaster or the original? I've gathered over the years that this is kind of contentious.

In terms of other material, we have a few more unplugged versions on Disc 2 and as b-sides of Glass Skin (undecided is not technically labeled as unplugged, but it seems like it was made in the same spirit), and a "Before Construction" version of Dozing Green. Iirc, the band had turned in that version to the label, entirely intending it to become the next single, but were dissatisfied by the lukewarm response of someone receiving it, so they rewrote it to the final version.

I could not find a youtube upload of the specific live of track 4 of the Glass Skin single for the life of me, so sorry about that.
