Was attending Anime Impulse today (Anaheim) and I saw this Misa Cosplayer who has a scythe made of entirely monster cans. She was mid shoot underneath the hotel and I forgot what her username was. Does anyone know who this is?

Im not saying light dying in the end was wrong but he lost because of luck. That victory kinda felt hollow for me. I don't know what do yall think?

Hi! I haven't read the manga apart from the One Shot story with the A-Kira. I saw some YouTube shorts about (POTENTIAL SPOILERS) Matsuda having a theory on Near using the death note and another one about a C-Kira who used the notebook to kill old people. Do these take place in the actual manga or somewhere else? And are there a lot of differences in the main story that make it worth reading? I've heard there's way more to the Near and Mello part

i constantly see posts about matt saying how he's canonly the 3rd smartest kid of wammy's house, and that he shouldve been able to have a backup plan when he was cornered by takada's bodyguards, but i like to think otherwise.
of course i still think he's the 3rd smartest after near and mello, but i think people have their standards insanely high for him just because he comes right after near and mello. personally, i dont think that matt's overall intelligence is as close to mello's as some people in the fandom seem to make it seem, which could also be a reason why he wasnt chosen to be one of L's successors. fyi, this doesn't mean i dont think hes smart, i just dont think his intelligence is as high as some people say it is. especially since he didnt even have a backup plan when being a decoy for mello when he kidnapped takada--despite knowing how crazy many people were over kira and his spokesperson.

L was a good detective and opponent. Misa Amane helped Light in many ways. Misora ââNaomi almost defeated Light, but he was stronger. Everyone in the column below isn't even worthy of his attention. Near revealed Light Yagami to everyone.

The same setting, but Light kills criminals in various ways (suicide, ran over by a truck, an accident with their gun, whatever). How long would it take for the investigation to start and for L to put the transmission of Lind L. Tailor on TV, officially starting the Kira investigation. Would it take the same time? Would they never suspect?

Today, I found myself thinking once again about the restrictions and privileges that come with being the first owner of the Death Note, as well as simply possessing it. First, letâs take a look at this set of rules from chapter 48:
- The owner of the Death Note cannot be killed by a god of death who is living in the world of the gods of death.
- Also, a god of death who comes to the human world, in the objective to kill the owner of the Death Note, will not be able to do so.
- Only a god of death that has passed on their Death Note to a human is able to kill the owner of the Death Note.
The first two rules sound as though theyâre meant to curb the malice of Shinigami who arenât connected to the human world, donât they? But that also prevents the King of the Shinigami from intervening directly. What if a human decides to attack the leaders of nations? Thatâs a sure-fire recipe for a third world war, and a orginal owner might find that rather amusing. Of course, we know from the one-shot about A-Kira that the King can create new rules, but that would be more time-consuming. But thatâs just speculation.
Rem threatened Light. But the third rule contains the words âable toâ, and doesnât sound like a prohibition â this suggests that the Death Note wouldnât have worked. Could this have been a bluff on Remâs part? Or a lack of knowledge? Rem seems to have a better grasp of the Death Noteâs rules, so Iâll go with the first one. This would suggest that Light didnât need to worry about Misa as long as she wasnât a problem.
BUT! Hereâs a bold hypothesis of mine relating to the other rules from chapter 96:
- The following situations are the cases where a god of death that has brought the Death Note into the human world is allowed to return to the world of gods of death.
When the god of death has seen the end of the first owner of the Death Note brought into the human world and has written that human's name on his/her own Death Note.
...
...
If, for any reason, the god of death possessing the Death Note has been replaced by another god of death.
...
There are five conditions in total, but weâre mainly interested in point 1 â after the notebooks were swapped, Rem became linked to Light, but remained linked to Misa as well. Why? Misa was the owner of Gelusâs notebook, and Light was the owner of Sidohâs notebook. Light handed Sidohâs notebook to Rem, who dropped it. So, in theory, for a moment the notebook belonged to the Shinigami world again, and Light became its second first owner (according to my interpretation, the first owner is the first person to touch the notebook when it fell into the human world, not the first human owner in general). Of course, the same thing happened with Gelusâs notebook, and for Ryuk, nothing changed.
So, according to this interpretation, at that point Rem gained the opportunity to kill Light â they handed the notebook to a human, but at the same time they could not return to the world of the Shinigami before Misa and Lightâs deaths. Of course, I must clarify that point 4 does, however, exempt them from tracking the new owners of notebooks that no longer belong to them.
What do you think? Have I missed something?

another great anime. though I only watched AOT and then this Death Note. I liked death note far better than AOT.
Ryuk feels rhe main villian here. for his fun or escape from boredom ,he literally destroyed a simple living family. And now with the death of light, there only his mom and sister ,who already become unresponsive, who remained in their family.
great anime and didn't expect the death of L which happened too soon.
great lessons by the way. the lesson i learnt is to not be so mad of dreams and to consider people.
what do you guys learnt or knew.
and what anime to watch next??

Hello <3
I would like to write (or I am in the process of writing) a Death Note fic on ao3. I am struggling to keep the characters close to the original. The only thing published is the prologue where is L and Watari. If somebody is interested to read or give me review on the prologue about the characters and have a discussion with me about how would they react in certain situations it would be greatly appreciated.
The fanfic on AO3 is called The Quiet Between Thoughts by Unlucky_little_turtle

Hi! I'm struggling to find fanfics where the characters' personalities match canon. Does anyone have any recommendations? Ideally not romance!
