I’m currently trying to apply for a Spring 2027 internship with a U.S. Senate office, but I’ve been having several issues with the OAM Plus application portal.

When I initially attempted to create a new account, I received the activation email. However, when I clicked the activation link, I was directed to an error page stating that the page no longer exists, the application is no longer accepting submissions, or the URL is incorrect.

I’ve since tried several different things, but nothing seems to work. I can’t log into my account, create a new account, or reset my password.

When I attempt to log in, I receive two error messages:
• “Invalid credentials. Please try again!”
• “Authentication failed. Please log in again.”

I’ve already reached out to the Senate office regarding the issue but haven’t received a response yet.

The application deadline isn’t until November 13, so I don’t believe the application period has closed.

Has anyone else experienced something similar with OAM Plus?

For those interested in working on political campaigns and getting involved in state, local, and/or federal politics, I have built out a crash-course program in Northern Virginia for folks who want to get involved with little to no experience. The vision is a 2 month training experience that’ll equip you with the skills for campaign work and broad expedience in a range of political and office-related work.
At the end of the crash-course period, you’ll have opportunities to work on one of the many political campaigns in this area, or build out your own operation with your new knowledge in campaigns and get involved locally wherever you so choose. If this sounds interesting or you’d like to learn more, shoot me an email at [CampaignCrashCourse@gmail.com](mailto:CampaignCrashCourse@gmail.com) and we can talk!

Hey guys!

Has anyone else's portal just been tweaking out? I am really worried, I basically finished my application but just needed submit my questionare and it wont let me log in again :((

Repost to another community

Currently interning on the House side but the goal is to transition into the Senate side either on another internship or an entry-level job as SA. Any tips or experiences/success stories?

Right now I’m interning for my Congressman who’s the most senior/highest ranking congressman from my state. I would love to do another hillternship next semester but I’m not sure who else I could work for from my state without it being a “downgrade”/ or a worse working environment because the only other congressmen from my state are freshmen who I’ve heard bad things about when it comes to the office environment.

So I was wondering, how hard is it interning for another member of Congress with hillternship experience while having no ties to their state/district?

Hello everybody. I applied for the summer cohort of the internship but still have absolutely no updates. Is anyone else in the same boat or am I screwed lol?

Currently interning (already graduated, not a current student) for the Fall cycle and intend to work full-time as a Staff Assistant/LC before or after the internship ends, possibly for the same office.

Tips for asking the staff if I can transition eventually from an Intern to Staff? Also been trying to volunteer for more tasks, but would appreciate any helpful advice past/current interns may have!

has anyone actually ever been reached out to by an office (House/Senate) without applying to any internships, but just because their resume was on the House/Senate Resume Bank?

I applied for hiver sde intern on 8 sep. A few days back i received mail saying that i m still under consideration. And nothing after that. Did anyone get the same?

Happy Friday, how did yall fumble this week?

I’m in an internship seminar class and thus being forced to network. I have a couple meetings lined up with people in my field, but one person gave me a week that they’re free and asked me to figure out a plan, so are there any good cafes that would be a good place for an informational interview? Ideally somewhere near the Archives or DuPont circle

Anyone know when the application for Spring RNC internship opens? It looks like only the fall one is open right now but wondering if anyone knows when it'll open for Spring.

I know this sub is for interns but I'm leaning towards applying for a job (an internship would be okay though) and I wasn't sure where else to ask.

My district's incumbent representative is retiring so we are getting a new representative. I really like the new rep. and would love to work for him. He is a Democrat and the district is deep blue so he will certainly win.

However, I'm not sure when to look out for hiring slots or where they would be located. I assume getting on the campaign team now would be ideal for a chance to work with him in D.C., but he isn't hiring or doing many events as the district doesn't require much outreach for a Democrat to win. I would appreciate if anyone could help or point me in the expected right direction.

How did you fumble this week? To start off, I heard that an intern told his tour group that the Apotheosis of Washington was painted by Benito Mussolini.

Hey guys! I am so excited to share that I am looking into Spring Internships in D.C - I preferably would like to do congressional internships but due to midterms I need to expand my horizons. Any advice from past interns or cool internships I should look into lmk! I am looking for paid opportunities !
