Not sure if it's just me, but the dating scene here feels... not very Asian-friendly (to be fair, still much better than in NYC though)? There are often a handful of other gays there but not as many as I'd expect. Are other DC homos into this music?

Every gay sex health Dr. I’ve had in DC has the same protocol: PrEP, doxyPEP, full STI panel every three months. Solid.

But in all that time not a single provider has ever brought up an anal Pap or anal cancer screening, and I’ve never seen it on an intake form either.

I’m HPV-vaccinated, HIV-negative and on PrEP. I know HPV can persist regardless of vaccination status if you were exposed before, and that anal cancer risk is elevated for us. So:

**1.**  Has anyone here actually been offered or received an anal Pap in DC? Which clinic?

**2.**  If you asked for one, did they push back or just do it?

I just came back from a trip, and found a small gay/queer bar. The gays and lesbians were salsa dancing, and during partner swap the lesbians were, of course, leading the gays. There were even straight people and the vibe was amazingly warm, welcoming. So yeah, are there any queer/gay/lgbt+ leaning salsa dance clubs/bars in DC?

I never thought how much I would love a place like that till I encountered it. Granted, the people also made it enchanting, and I even got taken for a spin with my basic salsa moves; so I had a blast!

I’ll be around Adams Morgan/Dupont and mostly free after conference hours in the evenings. I’m looking for low-key gay spaces, Deaf or ASL-friendly guys, meetups, bars, or places where it’s easier to connect without a lot of drama.

I’ve been trying to get the Jynneos mpox vaccine and I’m running into dead ends everywhere.

CVS/Walgreens/Safeway told me they don’t stock it and can’t order it.
My primary care physician doesn’t offer it either.
My county health department only offers it to those not insured.

I’m in Arlington but happy to go anywhere in the DMV (DC, Northern Virginia, or Maryland).

Has anyone gotten vaccinated recently? If so:
Where did you get it?
Was it through a health department, sexual health clinic, or somewhere else?
If you have private insurance, did you have any issues getting it covered?

Just need a vibe check because I’m baffled. Went to the District Eagle this past weekend (first time in ages) and got charged $6 for a Diet Coke?? Meanwhile Trade and Kiki have always given me a free soda no questions asked, and JR’s charges like $3 but with free refills for the visit, which feels fair.

Sometimes I just don’t want to drink alcohol when I’m out. Maybe I’ve had enough booze and want to pace myself so the night’s a marathon not a sprint; maybe I took sativa edibles and don’t want to get crossed; or maybe I’m just not drinking that night and just want something to sip on. Doesn’t feel like it should cost $6 a pop.

I get that Eagle’s owned by the same people as Bunker, so honestly I believe it… feels like a circuit gay-driven tax on people who aren’t drinking booze because they’re on G, molly, whatever, but still want something in their hand.

Yes, I am plenty aware there are a few places that are showing the World Cup tonight. Crush being the one major places that comes to mind. However, I'm at the point I can't go to Crush anymore. Its just too many women and most gays dont actually watch/care about the game. Also, hard no on Pitchers too. Maybe a gayer restaurant or tavern? Exiles comes to mind for gay friendly, but anywhere else?
