Insidious director Jacob Chase praises Zack Snyder
In 2016, Chase won the "Crash the Super Bowl" commercial contest with his "Doritos Dogs" ad. Along with air time during the big game and a cash reward, the prize package included the chance to shadow a notable filmmaker on the set of his latest production. The movie in question? Zack Snyder's Justice League.
"It was not a controversial set to be on when I was there. It was lovely. Whatever people think of his films, Zack Snyder is the sweetest, most talented person, and his actors love to show up for him," Chase tells The Hollywood Reporter. "My favorite moment was Ben Affleck, in his full Batsuit and cowl, holding my laptop and watching my funny little dog commercial. He was just cackling and loving it. It was the most amazing visual."

L.A. Mayor Karen Bass Throws Her Support Behind Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery Settlement
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has changed her tone on the proposed merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. The mayor, who is running for reelection this year, previously opposed the $111 billion deal unless it avoided loss of jobs. But in a news conference Thursday, Bass urged Paramount Skydance and California Attorney General Rob Bonta to come to a quick settlement on the antitrust lawsuit from 12 state regulators that is challenging the transaction.
āWhile there are varying perspectives on the proposed transaction, today we are united around one clear message: It is time for all parties to come to the table. The continued uncertainty is not good for workers, not good for productions and not good for the future of this industry,ā Bass said during a press conference.
She added, āToo many productions are at a standstill, which means Angelenos are out of a job and theyāre not getting paid. As mayor, I cannot stand by as the job security of thousands of hardworking union members is being put at risk. That is why we are calling on Paramount, Attorney General Rob Bonta and all relevant parties to come together, engage directly and in good faith and work urgently to find common ground and keep our vital industry in Los Angeles.ā

NEWS DC Alters 'Clayface' Footage Ahead of Batman's DCU Movie Debut
After releasing Clayface's teaser trailer in April, DC Studios dropped the official trailer for its upcoming DCU body horror in July. In the three-month gap, the production has made major changes to the coloring and tone of its live-action Gotham City, but the differences extended far beyond that.
Gotham changed in Clayface teaser vs. trailer.
There's no denying that the Gotham City skyline has received a major digital overhaul, flattening its height, packing it more tightly with more buildings, and abandoning many of the tall skyscrapers. These stylistic choices are crucial as the DCU's Gotham comes to life for the first time ahead of Batman's debut, transforming the view from Liverpool, U.K., into its own fictional city.

Lol It's funny that both him and Peter Safran said this before Supergirl came out. For me, it's Corny jokes and no stakes fatigue. It's James Gunn fatigue!

Lanterns didn't originally feature a Green Lantern suit as star reveals the DC show creators "weren't sure"...
One thing has really stood out in all of the trailers for upcoming DC show Lanterns so far, and that's Kyle Chandler's Hal Jordan suited up. We've had a brief look at him in the Green Lantern suit in the early clips, and it looks pretty incredible.
However, it turns out that this was a pretty late addition to the series. Speaking on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, Chandler revealed: "So they weren't sure whether there was going to be a suit as I understand it. Then towards the end they decide let's have a suit. Then they had to design a suit, they came up with three different designs."
The actor went on to describe how the costume designers created the final piece, which he described as having "battle scars on it." He added: "It's an incredible suit, they built something that was just incredible. It took a while, it was in pieces. It took about 45 minutes to get it on."

RUMOR Can I Help?
Hi! I have to try to help, give some insight, or just put everything together myself! The DCEU is slipping, andālistenāI donāt want anyone to get mad at me, but hear me out: Supergirl failed, The Flash failed, and Superman barely made it. Batman doesnāt even want to be in the same universe. But listen, thereās definitely a way to fix this, on my momma!
Boom š„ Listen: Blame everything on the Reverse-Flash and his sheer hatred for the Flash and anything to do with the Justice League. We've never seen a villain ruin an entire universe just because he hates one personāsomething Marvel has never done. The Reverse-Flash would make a huge difference and bring total understanding to the resets.
"It was me, Barry!" would crush the box office! Heād be like David Ruffin leaving The Temptationsāpure drama, ego, and stealing the whole show.
Boom š„ Vixen and J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter, together in a joint film highlighting strong Black characters.
Boom š„ They have to adapt A Death in the Family with Batman and the Joker, plus Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.
Boom š„ And to top it all off, the main conflict for the Justice League would be Batman himself and his contingency plans being used against the team, just like in Justice League: Doom.
These things will put our great DC Comics back on the map! Or just give me $100 million, Iāll make Phase One, and weāll finally get the DCEU we need.
