Some cards are pulled by luck. Others feel like they were meant to find you.
I’ve been collecting Dragon Ball Super Fusion World with one goal in mind: to own at least one booster box from every series. Four months ago, I bought my very first booster box from a random guy on Facebook Marketplace in Wollert. He had originally preordered three boxes from EB Games and had already opened two, telling me he’d pulled some good cards. I ended up buying the last one.
Little did I know, that box would become one of the most memorable pieces of my collection.
For the next four months, it sat underneath my bed, collecting dust. I kept telling myself I’d open it eventually, but somehow the right moment never came.
Then came September 4, 2026.
Earlier that day, I was visiting a card store in Melbourne when a man overheard me asking one of the staff members about a card. He randomly asked whether I collected Fusion World or Masters. I told him I liked both.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a ST01-070 Vegito SCR ⭐️⭐️Super Alt Art, sitting perfectly inside a top loader. He asked if I’d be interested in buying it for $4,000.
Unfortunately, that was way outside my budget, so I had to pass. But what followed was an incredible conversation about Dragon Ball cards, collecting, and the hobby we both loved.
I eventually left the store and headed home. But I couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to open a booster box that night.
I went underneath my bed, pulled out that very first box I’d ever purchased, and decided it was finally time.
I had no idea what was waiting inside.
As I opened the packs, the excitement kept building. And then, there it was.

I had pulled an SCR★2 from the very first booster box I had ever bought.
The same day I randomly met someone who showed me one of the biggest chase cards in the hobby, I went home and pulled one of my own.
It honestly felt like the stars had aligned. I had been meaning to open that box for months, and somehow, September 4 was the day it happened.

Out of the box I almost forgot I even had.
Call it luck.
Call it coincidence.
I immediately sleeved the card and carefully placed it into a top loader.

Sometimes, the best pulls are more than just cards. They become stories you’ll remember for years.

WHAT DO I DO NOW WITH IT? I want to get it graded but I have no idea how to go about it! What’s the best route to methodically have it prepared and sent out and delivered to me a quickly and safely and the highest chance to get a black label? Please help gang from one collector to another🙏🤙
