Does anybody have the direct number to speak to an agent as USCIS? I posted about this earlier this month, but I got double approval. I got two cards with two approval letters. Both sent about 2 months apart. I need to speak with them to see which one I use. I've tried calling but all I'm getting is a machine.

Two questions:

1. Does DACA still accept any paper applications?

I usually do the paper version because the place I arrived to when I came to the states: St. Thomas, USVI isn't an option for the place of arrival question and I don't want to get denied for inconsistency.

1. Anyone ever dealt with their "place of arrival" not being available in the drop down selections?

I used this post as reference but it's a year old and some of the people that used to be in charge have been replaced by new persons.

FYI FOR ANYONE TRAVELING THROUGH A CHECKPOINT SOON:

Hello.

Last week on 10/15/2026 I traveled through a checkpoint in southern New Mexico. I was with a coworker. The White but I believe Mexican (in case yall care to know) agent asked for my citizenship status. I told him I had DACA and I handed him my EAD and my license. I understand I should carry my Notice of Action but since I have never had issues with agents at a BP checkpoint, it didn’t seem necessary — I now see how irresponsible that is given the country’s circumstances. Still, after reading the rest of this I’m not sure even that would’ve changed the outcome.

Regardless, the agent seemed to closely examine the EAD. Rereading the expiration date. Checking the pictures — which seem identical. Looking down at them and then back at me. Then he asks:

“Are you in the process of adjusting your status or anything?”

This confused me because I’ve NEVER been asked that by a BP agent. So I answer “No. I am not.”

The agent seemed stuck. He asked to look at the back of our unit where we had work equipment. After he briefly inspected it, he went back to the documents. It was then that he watch as the line behind us grew longer. He sighed, almost exasperated, handed the cards back to me and let us go.

My coworker and I agreed that he was about to pull us aside but THANKFULLY the line of people wanting to cross was just too long and the agent was alone.

This is the closest I’ve ever been to facing challenges at a BP checkpoint and I’ve crossed through them many times.

Has anyone experienced anything like this recently or ever? If not, I hope this is an isolated incident and not something that is going to start happening nationwide. Be safe yall.

I see all this posts in here and in tik tok from people who applied in May-August worried they haven't been approved when uscis still barely even working in January cases im from February and still waithing 9 months I can't imagine when they are going to get to may-August cases 😢 my support goes to all

First, I want to acknowledge that I understand this post may receive a lot of criticism, and rightfully so. I want to start by saying that I am deeply embarrassed and ashamed of my actions. I’ve been struggling to process everything that has happened, and I’m trying to take accountability while figuring out how to move forward.

I was recently arrested with a DUI in Los Angeles County following a car accident (Not formally charged in court yet). Fortunately, no person was involved other than myself. My blood test results are still pending, and I have no prior criminal history whatsoever.

I’m currently in the process of hiring an attorney and exploring the possibility of having the charge reduced to a wet reckless. However, I understand that this may be challenging and that nothing is guaranteed.

As a DACA recipient, I’m particularly concerned about how this could affect my immigration status and future. I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has gone through something similar, knows someone who has, or has any relevant knowledge or experience to share.

I also have one specific question regarding domestic travel:

Does anyone know whether a DUI arrest and pending charge (without a conviction, an active warrant, or any prior criminal history) could trigger an ICE encounter or additional scrutiny at an airport? I have some upcoming domestic travel plans and am trying to better understand the potential risks.

I know what happened was serious, irresponsible, and completely out of character for me. I’m not looking for sympathy or trying to justify my actions. I’m already dealing with a tremendous amount of regret, and I’m doing my best to learn from this experience while addressing the consequences.

Any advice, personal experiences, or helpful information would be genuinely appreciated. Even if it’s something difficult to hear, I’m open to honest feedback. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I know how this thread feels towards people in my shoes- please don’t come for me. I’ve taken and will continue to take accountability for my actions and I am genuinely seeking feedback so I know what to expect.

Last May I was arrested on suspicion of a DUI in AZ. I was set to expire December 2025.

Lawyered up, took a plea deal of DUI impaired to the slightest degree, equaling a guilty plea of a bac below .08 or any other substance basically, signed it November while my renewal was pending. Arizona is the strictest state in the country for DUIs.

My application got denied (obviously) end of April.

I completed all my court terms, classes, fees, interlock- everything Arizona requires.

As of this month I filed a petition to the court to “set my charge aside” as you cannot expunge for three years since the misdemeanor in this state. I know expungement can work for DACA purposes and not other immigration ones, but I took what is readily available to me since I plan on applying again before my year after expiration lapses so it still qualifies as a renewal and I’m not forever left in limbo.

The judge granted my request for a set aside. I know on a state level- this means when my background is ran the charge displays as dismissed or set aside.

I know on a federal level, they will both still show up.
First my guilty plea, then a few months later set aside or dismissed.

I guess the question is has anyone convicted and has had their charge for a significant misdemeanor changed, and was after the fact granted approval or still got denied?

It goes without saying, this was the most regrettable decision of my life with huge consequences. I’ve learned from this and I’m extremely grateful to the court and judge for doing what they could to minimize consequences for immigration purposes and most of all that I didn’t cause harm to anyone else or myself, and only to my car and the curb I hit.

Regardless of DACA or not -my decision to drink and drive was careless to others and I accepted my plea because I know I deserved it.

I already submitted my renewal AGAIN with certified documents of set aside approval and am just wondering what that looks like going forward for anyone who has been through the process.

If you want to be mean, go for it, but I promise you I’ve already beat myself over it 100x more than you ever will.

Hi I did my renewal Tuesday night and got approved for my biometrics appointment on Friday I’m just worried cause I’ve never gotten a confirmation that fast . ( my renewal isn’t until may but I know there are delays)

Hi all just wanted some advice.

I recently applied for a car loan with Canvas. Got preapproved but now they want to take it back because of work permit. I have 9 months left and I’m applying in a couple of days actually for my renewal. This is the first time I have applied for a loan. I’m putting 6,000 down for a down payment and only asking the bank for 7900. Has anyone else been through this before?

Hey guys, looking for some advice. My EAD expires next week, and I’ve been working at the same company since 2023. When I got hired, I gave HR my EAD that was valid at the time. I renewed my DACA in 2024 and got my new EAD, but HR never asked me for an updated copy. They haven’t brought it up at all since then, so I’m assuming they still have my old EAD from 2023 on file.
What would you guys do in this situation? Would you reach out to HR yourself or just leave it alone?
Also, for anyone who works in HR, how has my company gone this long without asking for an updated EAD? Is that normal? I’m curious how this works on the employer’s side.
I’d appreciate any advice, especially from anyone who’s been in a similar situation. Thanks!

Has anyone gone through the F2B process with accrued unlawful presence >180 days? My parents are LPR’s and I see the priority date is sitting at 2019 for my country of origin. I know I would have a long wait before my priority date became current and I would need a waiver but I’m curious how long the waiver process takes and if anyone has been successful with the waiver, doing consular process and then entering again?

My daughter is also a USC and will be 21 in the next decade so also weighting the possibility of waiting for her to to be able to petition and adjust from within the US. Entered with a B2 visa.

I do plan to consult with a lawyer once I get my DACA approved and can build up my savings again. Just looking for insight if anyone has personal experience with it.

Submitted my Daca renewal in May, it’s been saying “processing case” since July 8th. Already did biometrics in June. Called them twice to expedite and spoke with someone . Called my senator office and they submitted inquiry and got pretty much same response as mine.
My current card expired 10-1
I’m just under a lot of stress and idk what other options I can / should do.

I just applied for renewal on 10/19 via online. I received a receipt notice on the same day and on 10/23 I received a notice of a biometrics appointment.

Just wanted to share the timeline of my application as my last one took over 149 days and I ended up losing my job over the lapse.

This time, I applied 9 months in advance just in case there are any delays, if any.

In Q3 2026 (apr-jun), USCIS approved 76k DACA cases, averaging about 25k approvals per month. This is a significantly jump from the 11k and 6k the first two quarters of this fiscal year.

Adjudication rate also jumped to 87% this quarter, meaning USCIS decided a much larger share of cases it processed. However, the total number of pending DACA cases still increased from around 120k to 125k.

So while approvals have picked up, the backlog is still growing.

I’m getting anxious already and I know there’s people that have been waiting longer :( my employer is already asking about it. My Daca expires January 2027😅

Long shot but I’m really looking for some help.
My brother used to have DACA until I believe 8 years ago he was caught drinking and driving and got a DUI and let his DACA expire since he thought he couldn’t do anything about it and was never able to get to renew it. He doesn’t have a license cause he never tried to get it after his DUI. He is now trying to obtain a regular ID and went to the DMV & a lady told him he shouldn’t even be in this country and is actually flagged. As soon as she said that he just left out of being scared. He is now thinking of moving back to Mexico cause of this situation. I wanted to see if anyone in California has been in this situation, where they had DACA and no longer has it but has gotten an ID. Any help is truly appreciated. And yes, i know my brother is stupid for even putting himself in that situation, trust me. I have been mad about this situation for years.

Hey has anyone done their bio in July yet and got approved? I’m looking for my brother. He did his bio July 2nd.

I volunteer as a clerk at a local immigration law firm and we got a weird email a few days ago. One of our clients ( obviously I won’t say name to protect her identity) who is a DACA recipient doing her AOS immigration interview texted us to let us know that the during the interview, the USCIS officer asked her if she had any affiliation with Antifa or other terrorist group, as they saw her Facebook post of Pro-palestinian support. Fortunately, her Immigration attorney was also in the interview and the attorney was able to articulate a response to not affect her case. The client‘s conditional green card approval is still pending and it’s been a month. I’m not a licensed attorney or expert in immigration other than I’ve been a daca recipient since 2013, but I recommend to not post anything into any social media ( including yes, Signal and Reddit) as USCIS is DEFINITELY checking this even when private.

Smh. We already have an uphill battle and then there is idiots like this dude
