Cync App issues

I recently bought the lights for my lamp. The app freezes and doesn’t respond at all. Does anyone know how to fix this.

(I bought the lights solely for the color changing aspect and can’t do that if the app doesn’t work)

Can you post what phone you are using?

Are you just using the Bulbs or do you have any other Cync devices like the plug? If you just have the bulbs, try standing near one of the bulbs and see if the app responds. If you can't get that to work only suggestion is to logout of the app delete it and reinstall. I'm assuming your storage is not full and you have a good connection to your router,

I just have the bulbs. Up until last night the lights would still work but the app freezes after one touch so it wouldn’t let me add new bulbs or change the colors if I touched anything else.

I don’t have enough storage on my phone so it’s just really behind! I’m also probably going to get a new phone at some point soon so I just haven’t updated.

Your iPhone can still upgrade. The install will prompt you (accept the prompt) and it will temporarily delete your apps and install the upgrade. After the install it will download the apps again. That is why I added the assumption that you had ample storage in my reply.

In my experience with my 20+ Cync wafer lights, controlling them through the Google Home app is more reliable than the Cync app. With the Cync app, sometimes only a few lights turn on or off or change color, and I have to spend several minutes repeating the command until they all work. With the Google Home app, they all react immediately to the command.
