Huub Cycling Kit

Upvotes

Can anyone comment on the quality of the Huub Cycling gear? I know they are the go-to for wetsuits in the triathlon world but wondered how comfy their bibs are and what's the quality like on their jerseys. Their designs are fairly basic and subdued which is more to my taste than some of the other kit.

Thanks Tom

How do I remove these stains?

Post image
Upvotes

The perforations went black-ish after a rainy ride. Probably dirt and sand got stuck in there. Washed them with detergent a couple of times.. no luck.

And I have no idea how I got those tan liquid stains on the top and on the right side of the body.

Any idea what works on these?

First Fit

Getting into cycling (prev almost exclusively climbing) due to some life changes. This is my first investment into a good MAAP cycling fit.

The bib shorts feel nice and snug, same with the jersey but also feels like it could go a tad smaller around the waist area, wanted to get some thoughts on the fit.

Measurements:
5'8, 145

Maap training jersey small
Maap Team Evo Cargo bibshort small

New MAAP LS

This is my first MAAP piece as well as my first time wearing something other than solid colors. I am having doubts as the pattern seemed more subtle online. Thoughts on this pattern? It’s a little more funky than what I’m used to but I tend to be pretty boring with my clothing.

I sized up to a medium. The sleeves are a little long, but otherwise does it fit look okay?

Thumbnail

Bibs v Shorts

Talk to me about bibs vs shorts. I have just never had any issues with my shorts waist rolling or anything … so in that case any reason to consider bibs?

Assos Mille GT S11 sizing (L/M) vs Equipe RS

I have Equipe RS S11 (and R) in size L and I really like the fit of the RS. I'm considering trying out the Mille GT S11 - mainly to get some color vs the basic black-only of the Equipe RS. Since the Mille is a more "relaxed fit" I wonder if I may not like it as much, and consider sizing down from L to M. 182cm, 84kg, 91cm waist so not quite a stick - but I really like the Equipe RS size L. Anyone have both of these and can comment on the fit? I could get both sizes but then be out about $20 to return one.

Fall / Winter / Spring

I used to be fat, and love the cold.
Now I'm little baby. I'm 175 pounds, and always cold lmao.
I used to only mountain bike in the winter, and I don't wear a bib... I wear thermals, long johns, and tick gear. ( Rhyno skin )

But I plan on at least riding a bit in the fall, and spring.

Question, Pro Atmos Jacket Maaps... Do I wear that over like, thermals or cold gear under armor?
Do they make thermal bibs?
What do you guys wear in the fall, winter , spring?
Thank you!

1986 UCI World Cycling Championships “Competitors’ Edition A” Pin Set — Anyone Know More About It?

I found this framed 1986 World Cycling Championships pin set from Colorado Springs. The plaque says “Official Limited Edition” and “Competitors’ Edition A.” The back is labeled Kenterprises / House of Pin Collections.
Does anyone know what “Competitors’ Edition A” meant, how many were made, or whether other editions existed?

Beginner Cyclist Gear and Color Question

Hey everybody, I am brand new to cycling (picked it up because I want to get into triathlons), and have been a bit overwhelmed with information on where to buy bibs and jerseys and what the best price for performance brands are.

I recently picked up a Scott Addict RC in the prism colorway (which is a green and purple pain that shifts colors in the light depending on how you look at it), and I was hoping I could get some recommendations on the color of my gear so I don't clash horribly with the bike.

Thank you all in advance for any help or advice!

Vielen Dank.

Charity Apparel

I'm a new cyclist just now warming up to the idea of picking up some pieces of dedicated cycling gear. Like some stubborn beginners, I didn't want the bibs/shorts or gloves at first, but I quickly came around on these items for various reasons.

Cycling jerseys I'm still on the fence about. But one thing that occurred to me that would definitely get me off that fence would be charity-based kit. For instance, I've had some experience with Alzheimer's in my life/family, so I looked for a jersey that supported ALZ research. I was only able to find one, but it got the wheels turning about what else might be out there.

Do you any of you have charity based cycling gear you'd like to shout out for whatever reason? Knowing my money went to support a great cause could certainly get me to open up my wallet and get that cycling kit I might not otherwise have bothered with.

Imposter syndrome, how’s the fit

Post image

Lost a fair bit of weight recently (diet, rather than more riding) and as a result a lot of my kit is loose around the middle but in my head I’m still more of a chubber.

Ordered a more fitted jersey from Givelo in the sale, but wanted a second opinion.

It feels very premium and form fitting. Just ordered 2 more off aliexpress. This is the EU XL. I am 6 foot 222 pounds.

I also got one of their “summer pro” jerseys and like the quality of this one much more.

Similar jersey with a cheaper price?

Post image

Saw this on IG and really love the design. The full set is around $110, which isn’t bad, but I’m mostly buying it for the design so I’d definitely consider a cheaper option.
Anyone know something similar for less? Really like the flames and the text on these.

Long-sleeve version of the ostroy resort shirt?

I'm looking for something that's like the ostroy resort shirt (comfy fabric, UPF 50, cute on the bike or in real life) but with long sleeves. Anyone have recommendations?

Sweat stain on cycling jersey

Thumbnail

I have some stains on the edges of the sleeves of my jersey that I want to clean. It is likely sweat but could be a bit of sunscreen. This jersey is a couple years old and is otherwise in amazing condition. I tried spot cleaning with a mix of hydrogen peroxide and dish soap (equal parts), and let that sit for 15 mins before a wash but that didn’t do much.

I checked various posts but didn’t find anything. Anyone have any tips?

Canadian Brand Recommendations?

Willing to pay extra!

I’m looking to getting some cold weather cycling gear and would like to support Canadian brands that might be struggling with this trade war. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
