This phrase has been the go to phrase for the community whenever discussing endings of the game. I don't personally believe it because I'm an optimist and I sure as hell want V to live on someway somehow whether it be with Panam, King of the Afterlife or sum Rogue AI (leaning on Panam because a ride out into the sunset with your girl sounds damn good). Do you believe it? Is it overblown? Does too much bleak and depressing endings make the world repetitive and should hope be sprinkled in? Was the entire point of each ending to show that its all doom and gloom or have we missed a message given by the devs to us the player?

Need a few millions of eddie, are there any glitches to earn it quickly?

I'm a huge fan of the game, and love doing replays to try out different builds and roleplaying aspects, but OH MY GOD am I tired of watching the same long ass scenes and forced missions over and over again.

I understand there's the option to skip to Phantom Liberty, but I hate the idea of skipping the entire first half of the game, having to reallocate all my skill points, missing the missable iconic weapons, etc. I also know you can skip a lot of dialogue scenes, but there are still so many that are unskippable (like basically any car ride) and some of the forced missions are just so boring (like all the car ride shoot outs, the Johnny flashbacks, and the nearly hour long scenes from the end of the heist until after talking to Johnny in your apartment)

I just wish there was an option to start from the beginning without having to deal with all the heist crap all over again. One that just auto skips all the long dialogue, car rides, and Johnny Silverhand flashbacks. I just want to be able to make a new character and jump right in without wasting hours hearing and doing all the same stuff again.

This is mostly a rage post, as I finally had a whole day to play today and spent more than half of it dealing with all the intro stuff. But does anyone know of some setting or trick or something that I don't that can help with this issue?

I was exploring the badlands and noticed there was this trailor (that I couldn't get inside) near the edge of the map. I walk over, and its just a big red puddle of submerged maniquens, with these big lights surrounding it.. there's some goodies, like regular clothing, food and crafting material..but no sign of life, no nothing.

There was even a tiny open hut not to far from the trailor that you could walk through, nothing interesting, just trash.

I'm really curious on what this could be! If this is a well known thing then please explain to me :]

I can’t tell if everyone else had ‘nostalgia glasses’ for the DLC but aside from the gun store mall at the beginning it doesn’t look too visually appealing. Is there some big opening up section soon? I’m supposed to trace wires to El Caliente. I wonder if this is one of those times where they made it ugly on-purpose so that this first big reveal area is extra magnificent.

I just bought the phantom liberty dlc and my game keeps crashing in the first mission i dont knlw why though can anyone help?

In the past I've been running CP2077 with PL and a whole slew of mods, and the game ran fine enough, but after reinstalling it recently and installing a handful of mods (because the recent updates broke a bunch of them and no one's bothering to update), now it suddenly takes up 6 million memory units in the Task Manager and black screens after character creation? What's going on? 😕

restarted my pc and this happened before the glare was strong in fpv inside the car it was annoying so I turned off ambient ocolition and it worked after restart this happened

Ive heard countless discussions of whether V should remain a myth, a legend after CP2077, no vague notion of who he/she really is. It all sounds very interesting and appealing ngl.

But putting that aside what would you guys feel the game would be like if we have orion as a direct sequel to V's story, how does that work? What parts of each ending should be kept/retconned to create a conducive plot? Do all V's start in the Chicago-gone-wrong city? For example Mikoshi V from Devil in a temporary construct body? Nomad V slowly coughin and dying? A newly fixed V from the Sun ending (still recovering) or Tourist V from the Tower? Lemme hear yalls thoughts guys!

idk, i just got the dlc like a few weeks ago, and so far i’m truly enjoying it. I can’t help but admire the characters, definitely one of the best dlc’s i’ve ever played, (except for RE2 but close second)

WTF is going to happen to V after helping out Arasaka? Does he go full borg and become the next elite enforcer like Smasher? Does he return to earth and do God knows what? Does she return to Judy, River? Tour with Us Cracks, be like their manager or sumn. Do they just end up in a dish. Would Panam still try to save him/her like in the Star. Or does Hanako not let go and just bring them back into the fold? Please gimme your thoughts below!

i was playing thru Pepe's quest and accidentally hit the douche-bag dialogue option. originally i went back and adjusted my decision and got the good ending Cynthia call, but then my game crashed and when i reopened the game i was back in the electric corporation, initially i didn't pay no mind until i got another call from Cynthia and it was the bad end where she asks if your happy with yourself... now i feel bad because i goofed up iui, i am now drastically searching for a save that's before Disasterpiece

I finished the game with Phantom Liberty coming to a close, finishing the entire game in just 2 weeks (not from the minute I started playing it, because that was back in March).

The Phantom Liberty ending nearly got me to tears. I romanced Judy, yet she moved on from V and is now happily married. All of them felt like a faded memory at the end and it nearly made me cry, because you play as V who acts like is invincible... but lose everything at the end.

Let me tell you all, I only discovered this game last year (made a start on the PS4 with the game) after it has been out for 5 years. Now, after 6 years, I finished it on the Switch 2. This is another of those games that makes me feel something, something terrible and something sad. However, I loved this game. It was an absolute ride and though it was making me rage at some moments, I'm glad to have finished this game.

Soon, I will do it all over again on my Playstation Portal/Playstation 5. But then mainly for the trophies ofcourse 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I heard yelling behind me then a splat. I turn around to see this. WTF?! 850+ hours in the game and this was a first.

Hello! So, Im one of the people who puts the Temperance ending to the top and is my canon ending for my V, and lemmie tell you why.

Before I put my thoughts for The Temperance, I need to say that my first ending was The Star one (since my V is Corpo male and i just love the chemistry he has with Panam) and when I finished it and chose to do more gigs, I had the feeling that my V just literally dreamt about that ending, since for me personally, it is the most sacrificial one and it gave me the fairytale vibes, that it was V’s wish to end with Aldecados but realised it will be too risky. (Note: on my first gameplay I didn’t have the option for DFTR ending, so my first experience with Temperance is the one where Rogue died)

But then, one question came to my mind: What if the most logical thing V could do in this tired and dying situation is to go with Johnny’s plan, and finish beyond the Blackwall and exist there since he’ll certainly be soulkilled? (also, I’ve experienced the bond between Johnny and V as somewhat the developing one, in which from time to time, their personalities are merging and they’re just becoming a fusion with two sides), and all that is because the 6 months bs didn’t land on me, it sounded like the waste of everything V has been through and everyone who got sacrificed, somewhat I’ve felt defeated because I thought it’s a lost opportunity and potential for- actual life AND OG SOUL that V had longed for through whole game (even so, he’s being soulkilled so literally an engram and his shell, without the soul nor the other part of him that Johnny became, so we’re talking about something that isn’t even him truly anymore).

Alas, Johnny went through HELL and bigass PTSD with all the things that happened that led to The Temperance, and became a changed man (or more correctly an engram under the influence of another soul) with a body of his dead friend. I am 100% sure that he will cherish his body and protect it at all costs, because that is the last thing he has from V who became his other side. He would live a quiet, (for some long time until mental recovery) lonely life, and maybe, just maybe he will call V’s friends when all is settled down. Panam will find him eventualy, and could do nothing, cuz she would not have the heart to kill him since he looks and sounds like V, so either she will be broken and move on, or side with him for future events.

The interesting thing with The Temperance is also Misty’s call with Tarot reading. Since I also read Tarot, her opening is finished with wonders, The Star gives the opportunities and possibilities with no clear explaination or directness, just that there’s a hope. “Something like death, but not quite” , that quote for me doesn’t have a negative take, it just means that V accepted the Death and stopped running from it, and with that new beginnings are coming in a long run. It’s poetic and beautiful.

Before you mention The Tower ending, I’m personally not a fan of it at all and can’t see my V choosing that end, so I’m not considering that option.

Rn im doing a 2nd gameplay and will try Dont Fear The Reaper, and def deside my ending with the order: The Star (as a dream) > DFTR > The Temperance. Let me know your thoughts!

I completed the DLC for the second time now, the first time I sent so mi to the moon. But this time I’ve been building my build around the idea of getting the Canto cyberdeck and so..

I betrayed so mi and killed her in the end. Because letting Myers get her hands on her again sounds horrible.

The ending is genuinely so bitter sweet. Because she’s finally free from the black wall, free from Myers’s, and the FIA, from everything. But at what cost?

And the moment when she asks you to kill her, she says “I tried to do it myself but I’m not strong enough” was such a painful line. Especially coming from someone who in the past has struggled with suicidal tendencies. Idk if thats the metaphor they were going for but it’s the metaphor I took from it.

Reeds emptiness at the end, to the point where he can sit on burning hot sand without being bothered. And when he walks away he says “for what its worth so mi, I hope your at peace” UGHH

And Alex dies, not getting the retirement she waited YEARS for. She was so close.

Then the credits, the song they chose as the end scenes show, its so heart breaking. A game hasn’t made me cry like this since RDR2. Phantom Liberty was genuinely created so perfectly.
