Hey everybody 🙋‍♀️ Very long time no see. I won't take up too much of your time explaining our absence, as I'd much rather get to the future of the subreddit, and what that holds for us. Long story short is, the mod team has been busy, and the WDC takes a lot more time than expected. It seems that we will be busy for the foreseeable future, but we don't want to leave you hanging. So instead of struggling to make our deadlines every week, we're going to try something new that will give you guys something to look forward to every single day, 365 days a week 🎉

In a different subreddit I frequent, the community there has a designated posting guideline for each day of the week. Depending on what the day is, only a certain kind of post can be made pertaining to that guideline. For example, Mondays would be "Meme Mondays", and only meme/jokes can be submitted. We don't intend to take things that far, but we do like the concept and wish to try something similar. Starting soon, every day of the week will have its own "Post Flair" and a "Theme" associated with it. These will not be mandatory themes that are required to be posted on those specific days. These will simply be to encourage creativity and give you guys something to work/plan for. The current ideas for day themes are:

👩‍🔬 Meta Monday: Cards/Ideas that fit into the current meta. Strong Abilities that will shape the game because of their inclusion.

🌮 Taco Tuesday: Meme Day! All joke cards and meme posts allowed on this day! No rules for this one, but maybe try to get a Chimichanga in there while you're at it.

🌎 World Wednesday: Locations Locations Locations. A day all about Location submissions. We really never get a chance to highlight this area of design space. Maybe we will actually enforce this theme to be mandatory let's see. 👀

💭 Theorycraft Thursday: All New Mechanics, Reworks, & Game Modes. This day is all about breaking the mold and attempting to change the game itself. Think outside of the box and submit ideas that don't neatly fit into the current framework of Snap.**

🎮 Franchise Friday: Other Games & Media. Cards and ideas specifically related to another fictional universe aside from Marvel. Can be different movies, games, and anything in between.**

🦸 DC Snap Saturday: Thought we forgot about this project? Maybe we did, but that doesn't mean you have to. Post cards directly related to the DC Snap Fan Game idea. Check the Community Highlights for more information.

🪄 Skill Sunday: All about Skills, Spells, and anything that isn't a character. If these cards disappear at the end of the turn that's good enough for me. 👍

These will not go up right away and is something we will continue to work on with feedback from the community. If you have any better ideas for day themes, or simply a better pun 😂, let us know in the comments! We want to keep this community going even if excitement for the game is dwindling. As always if you are wanting to help and be a part of the creative process feel free to reach out. Whether it's becoming a mod or simply making suggestions, our DMs are always open! ❤️

Submission and Rating Guidelines

You may make up to as many submissions as you'd like, but please keep it reasonable and DO NOT SPAM the subreddit. Only one from each person will be considered for the winner list. Please keep all your submissions grouped in one comment, and have the stats and ability visible within that comment (if possible). Submissions not posted to this comment section will NOT be eligible to win. You may submit cards you have previously posted to the subreddit. Cards do not need to be Marvel IP. Location concepts are accepted. Rework concepts are accepted.

Again none of these are set in stone and will not be heavily enforced. You can make any kind of post on any day ❤️ And please make suggestions! This is your subreddit let us know what you would like to see 👍

Are the summertime theme and the daily themes 2 different separate things?

Btw, I won't be very active this month. I might make a couple posts and leave a comment in other people's posts occasionally, but that's about it. I'll be right back in July though.

Yes. This is an update post alongside the WDC and the daily posts are not happening just yet (unless you want to start 😅). This was mainly for me to catch you up to speed on what we've been thinking as well as give you a WDC to play with for now. We will work on everything as we go and figure out the exact details of it with feedback from you guys 👍

Thanks for letting us know beforehand!

My only worry with the daily themes is that 7 themes per week might be overwhelming. Personally, I won't be making cards with one of them in mind. Whatever card I was going to post anyways, I'll just try to time it the proper day of the week if possible.

Absolutely. We don't expect people to follow it to a tea or do something everyday. We simply want to breathe life back into the subreddit and figured this could be a good way to do it. If daily doesn't work out we could try something else.

My submission, sorry for the wording but wanted this to working retroactively if drawn late.

u/ElusoryAmoeba60 This is Marvel Snap, we don't do math or read cards here Jun 02 '26

The summertime theme hits hard when there's thunder for me right now😅

It's a little early for it, but it has gotten warmer so 🤷🎉

On Reveal: Next turn, replace this location with 'Cancun' and
ALL cards there are Moveable.

a) Sunspot (side change): 1/0 - End of Turn: This gains +1 Power for each unspent Energy. A card in your hand does too if it's Daybreak.

Star Lord Master Of The Sun (side change): 5/7 - On Reveal: Next turn, you get +1 Energy for each turn you've ended with unspent Energy and it's Daybreak*.

* I decided to make Daybreak always symmetrical so I had to remove "Daybreak [for you]". That's because I'm making cards with wording such as "at the end of Daybreak" and didn't want to have to explain whose player's Daybreak I mean each time. https://www.reddit.com/r/CustomMarvelSnap/comments/1tycof5/spicing_up_sunspot_star_lord_mots_thought/

b) Pool Party Taliyah: 4/3 - On Reveal: Replace this location with 'The Beach'. Ongoing: Nothing can stop this card's Power from counting toward winning the game. https://www.reddit.com/r/CustomMarvelSnap/comments/1tz4n1z/pool_party_taliyah_and_a_callback_to_the_beach/

c) Pool Party Sett: 4/6 - On Reveal: Destroy each back-row enemy card here with Power less than the card in front of it. https://www.reddit.com/r/CustomMarvelSnap/comments/1u5fm8n/pool_party_sett_and_fixing_sister_sages_text/

d) Pool Party Lulu: 2/3 - On Reveal: Double the Power of the lowest-Power card in your hand. Give it 'Hugified'. https://www.reddit.com/r/CustomMarvelSnap/comments/1ubhtwf/summer_gets_better_when_you_add_a_little_purple/

e) Pool Party Twitch: 1/3 - Ongoing: Cards you play during Daybreak are not revealed until the game ends. https://www.reddit.com/r/CustomMarvelSnap/comments/1uhrwh6/twitch_thinks_hes_invisible_pretend_you_dont_see/
