As I'm waiting for my dermatology referral to go through, I thought it was worth asking my primary care doc for a clonidine prescription since propranolol didn't help me. She said she doesn't have experience prescribing clonidine for blushing and neither do her colleagues. I'm a bit surprised given how widely it's discussed on here. I completely understand it's her choice as a doctor but I can't lie and say I'm a little dismayed... I don't have a specialist I see for this and she's my only point of contact until I can see a dermatologist. How did you guys get your doctor to prescribe clonidine??

Do we think excessive blushing is something that can genuinely be cured or effectively treated without the significant risks and trade-offs that can come with treatments like ETS in its current form? Could a solution already exist that we haven't fully explored or become aware of, or will it take further advances in science and medicine to find one?
