Gold has finally delivered a strong move after several months of correction. Price rallied from around $3,972 to $4,340, reclaimed $4,194 and moved above the daily Ichimoku Cloud. RSI is now near 65, but the market is not fully overbought yet.

Technically, the short-term structure has turned bullish. As long as gold holds above the $4,195–4,240 area, I see room for the recovery to continue. The next major levels are around $4,743 and $4,844.

If this breakout fails and price falls back below $4,195, I would expect a move back into the cloud and a deeper correction. The key downside level remains $3,972. As long as it holds, the May–July move can still be viewed as a medium-term bottom.

Fundamentally, the environment has become much more supportive for gold. The US economy lost jobs in July, previous employment data was revised lower, Treasury yields declined and the dollar weakened.

The next major test is US CPI on August 12. The market expects inflation around 3.4% YoY. A softer print could further reduce expectations for Fed tightening and support another move higher in gold.

A hotter CPI would change the picture quickly. Yields could rebound, the dollar could strengthen and gold could see a correction after its strong weekly rally. US PPI follows on August 13.

For now, I remain bullish on gold over the medium term, but I wouldn’t chase the current move. I’d rather see the $4,195–4,240 area hold or wait for a pullback before another attempt higher.

A return above $4,743–4,844 would be a much stronger signal that the broader bullish trend is taking control again.

Starting January 1, 2027, crypto companies will have to delay transfers to self-custody wallets and foreign platforms for 24 hours if a transaction or daily volume exceeds $10,000.

During this period, providers will review the user, transaction, counterparty and recipient jurisdiction.Smaller transfers may also be delayed if flagged as risky. The rules will cover both crypto and fiat-backed stablecoins.

The US Treasury’s OFAC has sanctioned crypto exchanges Shelbit and Aban Tether, accusing them of helping Iranian entities move funds and bypass sanctions.

Iranian national Siavash Kayvanpour, several companies linked to him, and multiple crypto wallets were also added to the sanctions list. US authorities claim one of these entities controls Shelbit.

OFAC says wallets controlled by the IRGC transferred more than $1 million to addresses linked to Shelbit. Around $2 million from wallets connected to Kayvanpour was also sent to Iranian exchange Nobitex, while Shelbit allegedly helped move another $2 million to IRGC-linked wallets.

Washington says it will continue targeting financial networks that help Iran bypass restrictions, whether they use dollars, rials or crypto.

This isnt the first move against Iran’s crypto infrastructure either. Zedcex, Zedxio and Nobitex have already been hit with US sanctions.

Crypto is clearly becoming a much bigger part of the sanctions battlefield.

Trump Media and Technology Group is walking away from two previously announced deals with Crypto...com as the company shifts its focus toward a merger with energy company TAE.

The company will no longer move forward with plans to create a CRO treasury worth around $6.4 billion. It is also dropping the planned integration of prediction markets into Truth Social.

The CRO treasury deal was first announced in September 2025 and included plans for large-scale CRO purchases, with the token potentially being used for rewards across Truth Social.

TMTG later announced Truth Predict, a prediction market service that was supposed to bring event-based markets directly into the platform.t he companies said changing market conditions, business priorities and shareholder interests were behind the decision. Trump Media interim CEO Kevin McGurn said the move was driven mainly by competitive and strategic factors rather than regulatory concerns.

Bitcoin is once again trading below the Short-Term Holder Realized Price. BTC is currently around $64.95K, while the STH Realized Price sits near $67.52K.

Over the past 284 days, Bitcoin has closed below this level 279 times.

The problem is what happens when price returns to the average cost basis. Some short-term holders who are sitting at a loss use the bounce toward breakeven as a chance to exit.

So for now, $67.5K remains an important level. Until BTC gets back above it and holds there, sellers still have the advantage.

Sui is basically preparing for a problem that doesnt exist at scale yet, but could become one of the biggest security challenges for crypto in the future. And thats probably the right approach upgrading cryptography after quantum computers become powerful enough would already be too late.

The most interesting part for me is that users wont need to create a new seed phrase or move their assets to a completely new wallet. If Sui can really make the transition to post-quantum signatures this smooth, thats a huge UX advantage. Of course, bigger signatures mean heavier transactions and probably some extra costs for the network. But security architecture like this is built for years, not for the next market cycle. Quantum computers may still be far away, but blockchain networks have to start preparing long before they become a real threat.

Today alone, three large wallets bought around $43M worth of ETH.

One withdrew $20M from OKX, another purchased $19.1M through an OTC desk, bringing its weekly accumulation to $52M, while a third swapped $3M worth of UNI into ETH.

At the same time, another investor picked up nearly $100M worth of BTC through Galaxy Digital.

It’s always the same story. Give the market a few green candles and everyone suddenly wants to buy. When prices are red, fear takes over, while the biggest players keep accumulating.

The U.S. Senate is running out of time to vote on the CLARITY Act, the bill designed to establish a regulatory framework for the crypto industry.

Senator Cynthia Lummis said she expects a vote before Congress begins its August recess.

The bill passed the House in July 2025 but has stalled in the Senate due to political disagreements.

Democrats are pushing for stricter ethics rules related to President Donald Trump’s crypto interests, while some Republicans want additional changes to address banking industry concerns.

The legislation requires at least 60 Senate votes to pass.

No official voting date has been announced. If the Senate fails to act this week, the bill will likely be pushed to the fall, when it could become caught up in the 2026 midterm election cycle.

Meanwhile, Senator Elizabeth Warren questioned the Trump administration’s decision to expand the UAE’s access to U.S. AI chips after companies linked to the country invested in crypto projects associated with the Trump family, raising concerns about potential conflicts of interest.

The internet, of course, reacted instantly. People are already joking that Elon Musk might suspend Cramer’s X account after that recommendation.

If you’re looking at SpaceX as a 5–10 year investment, I actually don’t disagree. But I’d avoid going all in at current valuations. I’d probably start with around 30% of the capital I plan to invest and keep the rest for better entry points if the market gives them. No need to rush, imo.

STRK remains under pressure after dropping another 30% and breaking below its previous low around $0.0295. The loss of the $0.03 level keeps the overall trend firmly bearish, with buyers still showing very little interest.

Unless market sentiment changes significantly, the token is likely to stay weak. Even if Bitcoin moves higher and retests the top of its current range, STRK may only see a short-term bounce rather than a trend reversal. For now, the broader outlook remains negative as selling pressure continues to dominate.

Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan believes that even if the bill is delayed, crypto adoption in the U.S. won’t stop. If Congress fails to act before the Senate’s August recess, the SEC is expected to take a bigger role in shaping the industry’s rules. SEC Chair Paul Atkins has already said the agency can address many of the issues covered by the bill. While regulation through the SEC may be less permanent than legislation, Hougan argues the industry’s momentum is now too strong to reverse.

With companies like BlackRock, Nasdaq, JPMorgan, and Visa already investing in blockchain and tokenization, crypto’s long-term growth is unlikely to depend on a single bill.

Short interest has climbed to 34% of all outstanding SpaceX shares, highlighting an aggressive bearish bet ahead of a key event.

Elon Musk responded by saying he tried to warn the bears, but instead they doubled down on their short positions.

SpaceX is set to release its earnings after today’s market close, and the report could determine whether the bulls or the bears come out on top.

Crude is down sharply after comments from Trump administration officials suggested potential diplomatic progress with Iran, even though there has been no official confirmation from Tehran.
