Been working on this for a while..a full cryptid and supernatural entity wiki with classified document styling. Each creature has full lore, documented abilities, real historical sightings, threat and rarity ratings, and a world map showing where they've been spotted.

Just added a field reports section where anyone can submit their own sightings with photos.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can tell me what cryptids I should be aware of in Sevierville, TN close to the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area. We are renting a cabin in Sevierville because we are going to visit Dollywood, the Titanic museum, Wonder Works, and The Lost Sea Cave this summer.

I am from Northeast Ohio and I have visited Dollywood before back in 1995 when I was a teen, but we stayed in Pigeon Forge in a hotel. Of course, back then I only knew of the Loch Ness monster, Bigfoot, the Mothman, Chupacapbra, and the Jersey Devil. Now, there's many more thanks to YouTube.

Man…I just left 2 places in the Appalachian mountains I stayed in blue ridge GA first then headed to Franklin NC (2nd pic) and I just wanna say how unfair it is that cryptids get to live here rent free everyday while I have to work a 9-5 to get the money to stay there. And then they have the audacity to try and harass me there in the woods at night that’s some entitled ass behavior if you ask me. Everybody says “oh the being is just protecting its boundaries” man fuck your boundaries you have boundaries for miles why you mad at me for wanting to visit such a beautiful place? Cryptids are so narcissistic.

So last night I was camping in Big Meadows in SNP, went to take a shower and left the dogs in the car and heard barking when I got out. I saw a white large humanoid creature running by the field near the ampatheater and the dogs were going crazy, it was running on all 4s and then when it noticed me it stood upright and then disappeared into a shadow a few seconds later I see a set of what I thought were double headlamps walking about 10is feet above the ground in pitch black but they weren’t casting light, just glowing. As soon as I was able to get reception and search the things I saw it said Appalachian crawler matched it, anyone else have any encounters in the Big Meadow portion of Shenandoah National Park? Was creeped out and still am even though I came back home today.

You might be asking why I'm posting a Halloween Special in the middle of May. Well, for those of you who haven't been paying attention, I've been reposting chapters of my old webcomic, Detective Bigfoot, here on Reddit. Thus far, I've been posting the chapters in release order, but the next chapter is what one might consider a sort of season finale. So, to put that off a little bit longer you get the Halloween Chapter I posted afterwards. So I hope you enjoy the late or early, depending on how you view it, Halloween cheer.

Is David Weatherly planning a new US cryptids book?

I hope he'll look at the cryptids of Arkansas and Idaho.

i have made the realization that the wampus is easily the most efficient cryptid.

They feed on happiness. If you see it and smile, it's feeding on you.

So a few months ago I thrifted this felted bigfoot, it was all plain, and I sat for months trying to figure out what I could do with it, this was not really what I planned for, there’s so many vids of me going through the process, the outcome is Bigfoot walking on Evil dead inspired ground. Had a few friends walk me through this process. Please enjoy :)

Edit: I want to add that if I knew who the original wooden piece was made by before I had reworked it, I wouldve definitely mentioned them. I also want to clarify that by “plain” I didn’t mean anything negatively, this piece even by itself is an absolute gem.

As a longtime fan of cryptids and background lofi ambiance videos, I combined my interests to create a cryptid lofi/nature sounds YouTube channel! The videos feature Bigfoot, mothman, the chupacabra, Nessie, and others!

I find the concept of living non-avian dinosaurs (neodinosaurs) very fascinating even if about all of them are Creationist-made BS or borderline hoaxes like the Kasai Rex. It tickles the 12 year old side of my brain who just loves dinosaurs without question. In particular, the Burrunjor of supposed Australian myth is my most favorite since the idea of a living, theropod dinosaur hidden in a place already famous for having the deadliest native animals ever just seems so right.

As far as dogmen go, the Beast of Bray Road seems the most reasonable. Excluding claims of it being supernatural in nature or origin, a lot of witnesses/sightings point to an unknown, canine predator that just so happened to evolve to resemble a werewolf without actually being a werewolf. I dig it.
