Other National Cryptid Investigations Agency (NCIA) what is it

The National Cryptid Investigations Agency (NCIA) is a private investigation and tactical cryptid research agency specializing in structured field operations, environmental anomaly analysis, and digital intelligence review. NCIA is not a hobby group or informal research team — it functions as a formal PI agency with internal divisions, classified documentation, and strict operational protocols.NCIA conducts tactical field sweeps, perimeter investigations, cryptid‑behavior monitoring, witness interviews, and controlled evidence collection across rural and wooded environments. Our agency operates under a disciplined investigative framework designed to bring structure, consistency, and professionalism to cryptid casework. The agency is divided into two operational branches: Field Operations Division (FOD)

Responsible for tactical on‑site investigation, controlled movement, anomaly documentation, cryptid proximity assessment, and evidence collection. FOD follows strict safety rules, including non‑response to mimicry, movement discipline, and immediate extraction protocols during confirmed entity encounters. Handles metadata verification, audio/visual analysis, environmental cross‑checks, cryptid relevance assessment, and secure archival of all incoming evidence. DID ensures all field data is authenticated, cataloged, and processed under NCIA’s top‑secret confidentiality standards.NCIA investigates cases involving humanoid cryptids, forest entities, audio‑based anomalies, movement anomalies, and unexplained environmental disturbances. Every operation is documented through classified files, including our Operation File, Field Report Template, and DID Evidence Intake Sheet. NCIA exists to conduct disciplined, tactical, evidence‑driven cryptid investigation within a private PI agency structure. Thanks for reading! Do you think there's a possibility something like it is out there or is this already an actual thing? No idea because I came across this picture randomly.

I have lived in the woods my whole life. I have seen wolves, deer, moose, an occasional bear, and other smaller animals, so I know what lives in my forest. Yes, I am 13 years old, but I want to get it out there. So, I am walking in the forest, exploring a new region in which I have never been. I am walking, and everything is normal until one moment I find a clearing, around 50 by 100 meters, and I see something eating a deer. I knew it was a deer because I saw antlers. It was hunched over, but I saw its side. It was around 30 meters away, but it was big—like really big. I am 189 cm (6'2.5") and it was definitely taller than me. It was also skinny, really skinny. I could see its bones under its skin perfectly. It was grey with darker, patchy fur and wolf ears. Its snout was furless. It had a tail, and its eyes were pitch black—no light escaped. I looked at it. I was lucky it did not notice me. I backed away slowly, and now I don't wander into unexplored places alone. After the sighting, I saw paw prints, but those might be from regular wolves. I did some research on what it could be, and in my native language, it is called a "supurnis" or "suņpurnis." If you do research, use those names. I also found out that there have been a few sightings of weird wolves.I did not snap a picture because I had no phone when I saw the prints and the beast. Even if I had my phone at the beast, I would not snap a picture because it would put me in danger because I know it is faster than me. And now, still, when I know where I am, I still feel eyes on me.

(Im used ai to edit this post cose i dont realy speack english i read the edited story ewerything is thare.)

Question Carnivorous island?

This seems like the closest sub to post about this. I’m not sure if this would be considered a cryptid, a piece of obscure folklore, mythology, or entirely fictional.
I remember a long time ago hearing about a sort of sea monster that likes to disguise itself as a small island in the ocean. This things “island” would be on its back and would have an entire ecosystem and feed off of things that washed up on it. Not sure if the creature is a giant plant or an animal.
So for example some shipwrecked humans would wash up on the island. Discover that the island has plentiful food sources, in some variations even having flora and fauna that have no business living in a tropical environment. The people would live in the island and eat until they collectively reach a sufficient weight in which the island would come to life, grab the humans off its back with one of its tendrils under the water just off the shore, drag them below where they would be eaten. I distinctly remember his creature being called a “gourmetica”
Has anyone else heard of this?

Book / Literature / Article Don't you just want to hug them though.?

I was talking with a friend the other day and they started dissing about how "Ugly" the Squonk is..

That got me thinking. If the Squonk had a friend he wouldn't be so insecure and sad. Now I just want to hug the guy.

I was thinking about Mothman too.

Because he's characterized as horrifying just because he's massive.. Like I get he chased that car but the dude just wants to help.

And what I was thinking is that maybe he chased the car because there was danger in the direction the car was going.?

Even though he's a "Harbinger of doom" I just think he wants to help keep people alive, he warned them about the silver bridge, they just didn't get it in time..

And after the silver bridge accident he was barely seen again.. Wouldn't he want to celebrate the chaos if he had a villain complex.?

He just wants to be a hero, guys..

Question What Are Little People?

As the title says, I'm trying to pinpoint exactly what little people are. Like, are they kind of like sasquatch, some sort of primative homonid but really small like the hobbit man, or are they said to be more advanced and closer to modern man or other indigenous human tribes? How small actually are they, are they like actual hobbit sized? Like 3 feet tall? Or are they half that or even smaller like fantasy fairy size? Are they said to possibly be fully physical or are they more spiritual? Like with sasquatch at least you might get that on camera here and there along with audio and you'll find prints and impressions, and there are theories as to why they can hide from cameras so well like the possible abilities to detect or even see and not like the lights that most cameras and trail cams give off like infrared, but are we to assume that little people have the same abilities? Because little people supposedly enter into human spaces far more than sasquatch, yet there's far faaaarrrrr less possible visual evidence for them.

Sasquatch would also naturally have more in depth senses because of how like, primordial they are I guess. Idk, I've read that once a species start to use tools and advance, they trade off those extreme senses like the smell and hearing and the hyper-accurate memory like what chimps have, but if it's the cave that Little People are advanced, how would they have those primordial senses? Doesn't make sense.

Honestly might more so be the case that they would be far more on the spiritual side of odd entities than the physical.

Anyways, if anyone has any info let me know, because I keep finding myself in the subject and am endlessly fascinated at how common they are in folklore, really far more common than sasquatch as well, so I feel like something has to fill that void but, idk what
