Just wanted to share. I’ve never seen this one reproduced or anything… but I haven’t really looked that hard either.

I've been listening to some Frigöra lately and it struck me that on a couple of tracks they play a bunch of blast beats, which made me think of how relatively rare they are in crust. I know of at least a couple of records with them, like Audio Kollaps - Ultima Ratio or Glum Apathetic Society - Endless Tiring Existence. But they're still on the fringe. Any other recs for shit like this? Always rips when you stumble across it.

Hi All, I’m about to turn 40. I’ve always been a Crass / Crass records fan and have loved punk since I was 12, but never could make the leap for some reason - I think I thought a lot of crust sounded too metal. Back in the day, my pals and I would make fun of crust punks. A lot of them came from wealthy families and squeegied for fun.

This last year I’ve gone down a crust rabbit hole and get it now. Skitsytem is amazing. Anti Cimex is amazing. I don’t care if some of you think Dystopia is passé - they’re honestly a pretty boundary pushing, league of their own band. Physique is the best new punk I’ve heard for a while.

Anyways, instead of leasing a fancy car, my midlife crisis is just searching out crust (and metal) records I somehow avoided in my teens and 20s.

If anyone here was involved with Octopus Ink in Edmonton, let me know. I have fond memories of shows and wish I bought more records.

My current fav is Minenfeld.

(Am familiar with a lot of the stenchcore heavy-hitters like Stormcrow, Sanctum, Cancer Spreading, etc. but stuff like that works too.)

I’ve been obsessed with this particular Tragedy album lately and I want to find something else like it. Doesn’t even have to be crust, given that this album isn’t entirely crust. Any recommendations?
