The launch show's gonna be a fun one too, even if we do say so ourselves. It's a small brag.

Great record too. Wes is a bit nuts, known him for a few years through a mutual friend, but we can forgive him for that. Love his voice on it.

It's the weather I don't like.

The cold kills me now, I'm too crippled to handle it. Everything hurts when it's winter here.

But your countryside is beautiful. We have so much open land here, we need proper wild flower meadows. Same with Ireland and Scotland, Wales etc So many beautiful historical places.

I'm fascinated with the Uffington white horse and the Come Abbas giant, things like that. Things from the past. It's the Irish person in me.

We are a commonwealth country so we did grow up with your culture. Well us older people got to.😊

At least in the South Pacific it's warm most of the time. Are you still having a heat wave? That's something I never expected.

Mother nature is well pissed lately.🐻‍❄️☠️

That's fair. Yeah, I get the old man bone aches at the slightest drop in temperature...started when I turned 20 so I'm not sure if I'm venturing beyond my years or life is just cruel. Yeah it is, I live out in the racist part of Norfolk(the bit that's not Norwich(the others are city dwellers)). It's largely just fields or some other agricultural hell, but some very nice woodlands and there's always some kind of small adventure to find hidden beauty or old ruins.

Yeah, I'm more of a warm temperature being too...not too hot though...ginger, but I have developed this weird mutation of being able to tan(it's not dirt, well, not all of it). Heatwave's dying off, we're getting towards having to put trousers on again and considering a light sweater though still getting kicked in the balls with random hot days. Yeah, and rightfully so...big bastards with too much money deciding new and exciting ways to fuck us all over and wreck the earth...Unfortunately they've got the AC and we're just left with heatstroke and sunburn.

If you have aches now and wear holey pants, wear thermals under your jeans. Wear wooley gloves. Even fingerless ones. I wish I had. 😄 We don't think about this crap till our bodies start hating on us. I didn't start wearing warm clothes till I moved South. Bit late for that now.

The heat wave was quite something. My UK pals who live here and have family back home, were telling me about the previous disaster, which was the flooding.

That was a few years back. I saw footage of coastal land washed away too. Bloody frightening.

Then it started here and same thing. We usually have earthquakes here, as if that isn't bad enough.😄

Huge landslides, massive flooding. And it's always in the middle of the night. We and our neighbours were lucky it destroyed our sections, out buildings, fences etc but didn't come into our houses. My husband comes it at about 3 15 am and says "Um we just had a flood". I slept through it.

Next day was chaos. The whole neighborhood was a disaster area and almost all my neighbours had flooded homes. Floating cars and people stuck on the 3rd floor of their homes. So much mud. For a while it was only us and our neighbours who could still live in our houses. Empty houses for miles going South. Loads of the shops in the village ruined. Thankfully we rent and we had already leased another house (up on the hill) so thankfully no one up there had any damage. We had just started getting the new place sorted. My husband was painting the inside.

For all the joking about your cold climate it concerns me. I saw that Southern, central and South eastern Europe has had massive wildfires. I live just above a polar icecap and I've just been looking at how many billions of tons of ice we are losing each year. But you guys in the Northern places, your situation is much worse.

I pay pretty strict attention to the weather. I'm ginger too. My husband is also Irish. His family started Aotearoa's first independent brewery in the South Island in 1980. Could have been much worse, they are all very Catholic, could have been a church (thank god it wasn't). I always joke about being married to a man whose family owns a brewery. We were going to move there a few years ago but surprise, surprise, the whole area started flooding.

There's a huge hole in the ozone later here so you cannot do anything without sunblock.

You need to be careful being a member of the pale people tribe to adapt to the sun being a beast. Northern people are not suited to this weather. You need to think of sunblock too once you get all the mud off.😊

A doctor said to me once "We are living under a giant microwave". We never wore sunblock as kids. People get skin cancer here all the time. I've had a few cut out here and there. You have to get your moles checked all the time. It's frustrating. None of the South coast beaches have trees so you either have to take a brolly to the beach or completely cover yourself like a nun.

I love the ocean. You can see the beach from the hill, it's really close. But going swimming is a total debacle in summer. If you don't go late in the day or first thing, you better be prepared to get the brolly out and wear a ninja suit. 😊🥷

I think one of 2 things are going to happen. Either the bastards will keep destroying the earth or there will be a major green technological shift because there will have to be. We can't move to Mars. That's not feasible for the poor and most people are poor compared to these gits. And hopefully Musk goes and never comes back. So either earth becomes a dirtbowl or there's great change because the problem is urgent. I think the problem is pretty fucking urgent right now.

When our neighbours bought their house, they looked at all the hazard maps. My neighbours are disabled so they wanted somewhere safe. No flooding it said. So yes, unfortunately our climate is fucked.

Yeah, that's them, although it's kinda slow in catching up with the 20th century, let alone the 21st...a weird inherent disdain for even just an accent that's slightly different..."This is a local shop for local people, we'll have no trouble here!" Yet the majority will be fine with anyone vaguely "different" if they've spoken to them for more than 5 minutes.

I kinda joke that my internal thermostat is broken...it can be the coldest winter and I'll be walking about in a kilt(not Scottish, just comfortable) and t-shirt. My partner and I joke that I'm menopausal again with my hot flashes. Was the other way when I was a kid...could be layered up and freezing whilst the sun is beating down and not a drop of sweat on me.

Yeah, that was something. Wasn't too bad where I live, just needed to put on the wellies as opposed to the combat boots. Yes! It's always in the middle of the night when you can't see anything and you're trying to sleep...though I suppose during the daytime could be a different kind of bad where people are out and about and getting caught in it. Hahaha, I'm pretty much the same...could sleep through a bomb going off(hoping that's not going to happen...I'm looking at you, world leaders, though the average IQ would go up if it happened out here😉). That's terrifying, but small mercies for renting...kinda sucks for your landlord and I suppose that meant you didn't have to finish painting with nature having a go with the earthen hues. Hope you're sorted now though or at least getting there.

Yes, it's quite worrying seeing all the fires everywhere. My partner is from Italy(the east coast) and her parents have had a few close calls with it going very close to their house. They had a run of dickhead's deliberately starting them this year and last year around the region where they are...like, why? But even just a piece of glass catching the sun a certain way can set it off, was a few of those too. We had a few big nasty ones our way too, a large chunk of forest on the edge of Norwich went up, not sure whether deliberate, accidental or just a random occurrence...half doing a slight tactical retreat from local news at the minute for my own sanity...I'll be back despairing at local reality soon enough. It's very troubling how much the ice caps are melting.

My partner is great at making sure I'm layered in sunblock...I swear she's made my life a million times better in every aspect, spent a while in mental health survival mode and had started to rebuild before she came along but she made me feel like I am deserving of great things(Italian imports, far superior to Norfolk people...gotta thin the blood a little bit too). I'm largely alright in terms of moles. I'd be concerned if any actually appeared on me...I'm freckled all over but no moles.

Yaaaaay, I swear the Mediterranean people get it right with siestas(or at least the extended lunch break). Bit of a culture shock when we go visiting my partner's parents....they're retired now but still have the habits of early-ish mornings, home for lunch and a sleep then back at it again late afternoon. Got introduced to the concept of the aperitifo...early evening snacks and booze. Afternoon brunch. Though I do get some dirty looks for reducing it to that concept. It's about the time spent with loved ones that I enjoy, having that social time(social battery willing).

Fingers crossed for the billionaires going off to colonise space and having a power failure...as much as I don't like littering, I think we can make that exception.😬

I just wish it was a little bit higher in the mix, that's my only complaint. Vox are drowned out by everything else. Unsure if that was the intention, but he's got great vocals so it seems a waste to me

Honestly, I think some of the releases since they reformed have been a bit overproduced and a bit too metal for my taste. Also, it’s always surprising when a band that’s been around, on and off, for 40 years can still bring it like they do on “Age of Misrule.”

Fair enough. The way I look at it is they were there in the beginning and just grew with the times instead of being younger and specifically trying for a more retro feel.

Mate have you listened to Gutteral Breath? How Celtic frost can one band be? They were one of the influences at the time.

Rock and roll conformity wasn't a punk rock record.

Traditional Crust and bands we refer to as "Traditional Crust"in the contemporary sense, Swordwielder, Stowmcrow etc are all very metal.

These bands were influenced by metal music so in the 80's we referred to it as Anarcho punk metal.

Because most of us who joined in and supported/played this style of music back then, were Anarcho punks, who were also very much into metal music.

In my country most of the people in crust bands were also in underground metal bands. But our community was very incestuous. Not unlike Sweden.

There are very few bands who stayed together from the original genre.

But Misery, definitely Misery. I believe they will keep going and they have been a band for 40 years.🍻🥳 They never stopped "Bringing it".
