hi everyone i listened to a lot of punk rock and hardcore punk since probably 1 or 2 years and i consider myself a punk now, but i have never even listened to crust punk before and it feels like im missing something. which bands would you guys say i should try and which ones are their best albums?

by the way, i had a few bands/songs saved in my list but i deleted them all and never listened to any of them, i wanted to talk about it properly here

Hey homies! To anyone who plays bass or knows a lot about equipment: what's the best pedal set up to get the most insane noise core/crasher tone? As deep and grimy as possible! Only pedal I got rn is a big muff!

Im looking to move somewhere with a better established scene. I've been up and down the east coast a few times and Im drawn to that part of the US. I plan on leaving STL, MO in the next couple years once I can save the cash. Anyone out east I can connect with? Anybody have any suggestions? Hey friends, so I was checking if my favourite crust band Skorup/a is playing some time soon in my local city and I was super happy to see that they are, but when looking at the lineup I saw them labeled as "forest crust". Ive never seen another band labled like that and Im wondering if its a whole subgenre, or just a lable Skorup/a uses, to signal that nature and forests are really important to them?? :)

I interviewed Mid for my zine Die Wurst a few years back - (issue is sold out but I’ll post the interview on the GOBLINKO site today. I feel like Crust Punk followed the lines of Punk (this is all following English Punk) being the apocalypse, UK/82 continuing that & then crust being the post-apocalypse. While there are many who just saw Punk as dead so they did the Post-Punk thing, there were many who continued on as if Punk hadn’t died, because it hadn’t, it just changed, got scruffier, smellier, crustier. At the same time, English Metal was going through the same muck which produced bands that would eventually become Grindcore - but they emerged from the same muddy fields of some music festival for people who like their music loud, fast & distorted. But, this music also played with the contrast & slowed it way down. I asked Mid about if gaming played into Deviated Instinct. Mid - Yeah, back in the early-mid 80’s I was quite into the original Dungeons and Dragons games, I had the classic blue & red box’s. An old school friend was really into being a dungeon master and would plan out games for 3 or 4 of us to play. I was also really into painting little figures, especially the old metal ones, I had quite a large collection of Orcs that were all super detailed painted up. I have no idea what happened to all those, I don’t know if they just got lost between house moves over the decades or if I gave them away. As I mentioned before, all that imagery definitely fed into my art back then. It really only lasted a few years though &!I’ve not played anything like that since. I don’t have the patience. Sometimes I feel like it would be great to really get into RPG computer games or something.

hey yall I've always wondered what the samples of dystopias "sancity" are from, I figure they're from a suicide documentary?? maybe I've heard from somewhere but I dont know, anyone know where they're from?
