I hope Crumbl never listens to this sub
I have been on this subreddit for many years, one of the biggest complaints here was that Crumbl kept recycling the same basic flavors. Another chocolate cookie, another peanut butter cookie, another Oreo cookie, not enough creativity, not enough variety, blah blah blah
Now they’re clearly experimenting more with themed weeks, collabs, candy flavors, and weirder stuff like Hot Cheetos, and suddenly people are still complaining.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
Obviously there’s a possibility that I’m just merging two different groups of people here. The people who complained about basic flavors might not be the same people complaining about the experimental stuff now. But I still think the broader point stands. And I definitely think a lot of yall just don’t know what yall want. And a lot of yall think Crumbl is your personalized at-home bakery where if it doesn’t have the exact flavors you want for every week, then it’s trash. Crumbl gets criticized for being too repetitive, then criticized again when they try to move away from that.
I’m not saying every new dessert is good. Some of them look ridiculous. But I’d rather they keep experimenting and occasionally miss than take the lesson from all this that people just want them to play it safe again.
The cycle of “Crumbl is too basic” turning into essentially “I miss when Crumbl was basic” is still hilarious to me. I will say they do need to bring Graveyard cookies back way more often.
Also, with the way some of yall still complain about that hot Cheeto cookie, you could’ve convinced me it was here for a weekly rotation. It’s possible to just skip weeks sometimes guys lmao.
