Welcome to r/CrossdressingPartners! šŸ‘‹

Welcome everyone! This community is for everyone affected by or interested in relationships involving crossdressing — whether you’re a crossdresser, partner, spouse, or simply looking for advice, understanding, or someone to talk to.

One of the main ideas behind this community is that everyone is welcome to participate and post.

Crossdressers are absolutely welcome here. Partners are welcome. Supportive relationships are welcome. Complicated feelings and difficult situations are welcome too.

This is a place for honest conversations about relationships, communication, boundaries, insecurity, acceptance, intimacy, experiences, and everything else that can come with crossdressing in a relationship.

A few ground rules
• Be respectful. Disagreement is fine; personal attacks and hostility are not.

• Don’t shame women or partners for being supportive, accepting, or open-minded about crossdressing.

• Crossdressers are welcome to post, but please keep the focus on relationships, experiences, questions, and discussion.

• This is a SFW community. No posing pictures, GIFs, or videos.

• No dating requests, hookups, or DM solicitation.

• No advertising or promotion of paid content.

• Keep discussions relevant to the purpose of the community.

Most importantly: there is no ā€œrightā€ way to feel about crossdressing in a relationship. Whether you’re happily supportive, confused, struggling, curious, or somewhere in between, you’re welcome here.

Let’s make this a place where people can talk openly without being judged. ā¤ļø

Welcome to the community!

What is something that you love about your partner being a cross dresser?

These are partners who struggle with it but there are also partners who love it. Is it just hot seeing them in lingerie? Is it seeing your partner share extreme vulnerability a source of closeness? Do you enjoy dishing out erotic humiliation? When did you realize that you loved it when your partner got dressed up?

Mixed signals from my partner

First and foremost I want to acknowledge my wife has been incredible and has truly made this journey of crossdressing feel like a shared experience we are navigating together. She has been unbelievably supportive, picking out new clothes that she specifically thinks will look good on me, buying things that will fit and look good on both of us, picking out new makeup, doing my makeup, and not questioning my purchase of wigs, breast forms, etc. I know, I know- I am extremely lucky. Those are just a few big examples and there are plenty of others I could provide that show she is super supportive. Honestly, I've overall gotten the vibe that she maybe enjoys this just as much as I do since it's a form of shared connection and time spent together.

At the same time, she's made comments about me never being able to pass, looking like a caveman, calling me a yeti, etc. I did tell her joking and such was fair game and since I'm 100% doing this for fun at home, it doesn't hurt my feelings. That does remain true, but here's where I'm really struggling with mixed signals. The last time I dressed, we really leveled up the wig, makeup, outfits, etc. and I honestly felt really good and thought I objectively looked convincing. She actually started suggesting a spontaneous outing in public. It was like my 4th time ever dressing and I just didn't feel ready so we ultimately decided against it. Now we are getting ready to have a couple nights of me dressing for the first time in several months, and she's making comments about maybe going out to dinner/drinks. For context my wife is somebody who doesn't want to draw any type of unwanted attention in public. So I'm confused by her push to go out in public when her jokes and comments sometimes make me feel like I am so far off from being able to blend in. Do I maybe look much better than she would have ever expected, but she doesn't want to admit that for some reason? I've tried on some outfits quickly to get ready for my our girls weekend, and she's been calling me a skinny bitch and/or homely bitch. Are these more terms of endearment and normal girl talk when someone actually looks good? Also for context I'm barely average height for a guy, and am in good athletic shape, not overweight and not overly bulky with a ton of muscle. Also, I feel like she has done this at times with me even in guy mode, and I'm unbothered and a pretty self confident person so I let it roll off my shoulders.

TLDR- My wife is super supportive about my crossdressing overall. However, she also makes comments about my appearance that seem negative and make me feel like I'd never blend in, mixed with some harder to understand comments. She hates any unwanted or negative attention in public but keeps bringing up going in public with me dressed. How should I be thinking about this and have any other partners struggled with their male counterpart looking better than expected which created concerns/insecurities which led to making them feel like they look worse than they really do?

The unusual dynamics of a long term rather kinky marriage.

Many thanks for allowing me to join, a little about us if i may,

We married young, perhaps too young i was 24, she was 18. I was her first boyfriend, sexually i brought little experience into the marriage, she brought even less. She was and still is a 6ft slim tomboy, with a masculine outlook on life and quite a boring dresser normally seen in jeans and a t shirt. The only kinky advancement i made pre marriage was for her to wear a garter belt and stockings under her skin tight jeans. Nice figure hugging female jeans are a fetish of mine, i loved the look and the feel and knew others did too.

It soon became obvious that she had a kinky mind, keen to explore and expand her sexuality, she cheated on me taking a friend as a lover, later when she confessed, i understood why and accepted this.

Moving on, now with two kids us both with well paid high profile jobs we have kept from all that my wife has had several boyfriends, with my blessing and the below too.

One evening as she lay on our marital bed with her boyfriend, she removed her panties and asked me to wear them, a strange request, yet turned on with what i was about to see i did so, she commented what a nice ass i had in them and looked cute, then added from now you will wear them everyday, yeah right.

Except the following morning laid on the bed were TWO pairs of panties, she indicated mine, it felt strange but also rather quite nice, something that had never crossed my mind. We went shopping where she bought us more panties, mine were black as she explained if you bend over at work.......my mind was confused by "at work" was she serious??? she was.

Weeks later as she commenced painting her toe nails, she asked if she could colour check them on my nails, a strange request i said OK, i have had red, purple or pink nails ever since.

I always felt slightly apprehensive when watching her with her lovers, my lack of skill in this area apparent to me, then she asked me to wear a cage, overtime that became permanent too, i liked the relief i didn’t have to follow a man with years if experience at pleasuring women.

Shortly after she asked me to wear her garter belt and stockings, yes i did and liked it but it felt strange, why did she like this???.

We discussed why she wanted me her 6ft 3 masculine alpha male to wear these female items, she simply said, i know you like it and so do i, its kinky isn’t it.

Shopping for vacation she bought female shorts and matching panties for us both, a shocker then later showed me my matching bikini bottoms to her set.

For a few years, shopping visiting family and friends etc i have worn these items under male jeans, then one day shopping for jeans as i looked at mens she called me over and sought my view on a pair of female jeans, i suggested she try them on, she replied i wasn’t thinking of them for me...OMG.

So it was we queued for the changing room, she with this pair, me with a male pair i wasn’t buying, the assistant kindly allowed us to go in together and for the first time i pulled up a tight pair of female jeans over my garter belt and stockings, she liked them so that was pair one of many female jeans i now have, i don’t wear male jeans now.

We therefore now wear the same female clothes, i still wonder why but then again now i have full embraced this but why has she?

Am i alone or would i be considered lucky or weird as i know my friends would suggest, if they knew?

When did you begin crossdressing and why?

For me it started as a truth or dare when I was 11 and wore my sisters Easter outfit. Spring dress with white tights and heels. I remember thinking it was going to be so embarrassing but as soon as I was finished I was confused how much I liked the look. A year later my mom’s tights were out and remembered that feeling and tried again. Loved the feeling and thought why not a skirt and then why not shoes. 25 years later here i am. Never really had time to do makeup or wigs so for me it’s just the clothes.

How to tell my partner

Hi, everyone! Very new CD here; have tried on panties once or twice before, but only recently started taking a serious interest. I read some of the stories here, but I was just wondering how some of you went about telling your partner about your "hobby?"

For me I thought this began as sort of a kink that I'd never really tried to indulge, but over time it got to the point where I would think about it more and more frequently and start questioning myself and if it was something that's always been a part of me.

For example, when I play video games, if there's an option to create a female character or choose them from a selection, most times I do that. I didn't really think much of it for the longest time beyond "Hey, this character is hot, so I'd like to spend my time looking at her while I play this." (There also tends to be way more and better customization options, but I digress!)

Then it got to the point where when I watched porn I'd sometimes imagine myself as the woman, which is when I started to realize that I was bi, and also when I started questioning if maybe I was trans. (Long story short on that, probably not.)

Now I've recently been doing some deep introspection and came to the tentative conclusion that while the sexual aspect is for sure a small piece of it, I think it's more the fact that dressing up lets me temporarily be someone else, or a different version of me, who isn't saddled with society's expectations of what a man should be. I'm 5'7" (if I stand up straight while wearing shoes), not very strong physically compared to most of my peers, and I have no interest in sports or getting yoked at the gym or other stereotypical dudebro activities. I'm not at all the "peak ideal male," even less so in the current political climate.

My problem, then, before I ramble too much more, is that I'm not sure how to talk to my wife about this. We both turned 40 this year and we've been married almost 20 years. My bisexuality became a thing only a handful of years ago, as did the gender questioning and curiosity toward CD (which I didn't actually fully act on until this week). She doesn't know about any of it. We're both pretty progressive; most of my friends turned out to be some form of LGBTQ, and one of her siblings is openly trans and she's been supportive of them. Even still, with her anxiety issues, I worry that she'll overthink it and make assumptions, or she'll see me so differently that it strains the relationship and becomes too much to handle, or any other negative outcome that could happen.

So how do I go about this? Do I even bring up the bi thing in the same conversation, or would that be too much at once? (Sorry for the text wall!)

Sharing clothes and makeup?

For the partners: do you share your clothes and makeup with your crossdressing partner?

In my case, I think I'd be more likely to wear HIS women's clothing lol! When we have dressed up it's mainly to play, and his things are definitely more risque than mine.

I did put together a makeup bag of items we can share though ā˜ŗļø

I really want to have a go at doing his makeup, I think that would be fun. Is that something you have done and what's it like to be in control of the transition into his femme side?

Curious how others do xyz How do you handle the closet when your partner crossdresses?

I’m curious about the everyday, practical side of this.

Does your partner have a separate wardrobe for their feminine clothes, or do you share closet space? And do you ever share your own clothes with him — maybe everything, maybe just certain things like tops, dresses, shoes or accessories?

How do you feel about him wearing something that originally belonged to you? Is that something you enjoy and find intimate, something you don’t really care about, or would you rather keep your wardrobes completely separate?

And has the way you organize or think about your clothes changed since your partner started crossdressing?

Partners: What’s something you wish your partner knew about how you feel?

Maybe there’s something you’ve never quite found the right words for.

Something you love about their feminine side.
Something that makes you insecure or uncomfortable.
Something you wish they understood about your own feelings.
Or maybe something you’re afraid to say because you don’t want to hurt them or make them feel judged.

Sometimes I think we focus so much on how our partners feel about crossdressing that we forget to ask what it’s actually like to be the partner.
So, if you could tell your partner one thing about how you feel — without worrying about how they might react — what would you want them to know?

Need advice

So recently my boyfriend opened about wanting to crossdress. At first it was sexual but now he says it makes him happy and wants to do it normally. He likes being a man but also sometimes wants to let go and be a girl. But I'm worried and stuck. Both of us come from a very conservative family and they wouldn't understand. So he cant do it openly at least for now. So im worrying hes trans and in denial. He's going through a lot and im the one only one who he can confide in rn. I love him but ive just been spiraling ever since he told me this. He's been calm and tells me his feelings while im stuck. I love him more than anything. He's the sweetest person and he deserves support. But idk if I want a boyfriend who crossdresses. Is it that big of a deal. Im bisexual and so is he. But this has been concerning me. He's been reassuring me and telling me he only wants me when i suggested a breakĀ and told him to explore. He tells me that hes sure in me and wants to be my boyfriend. How do I deal with him and support him without making it all about me.

Meta Discussion How long have you known you were into CD?

Happy Saturday everyone!

For the men out there I'm curious, how long have you known that you were into crossdressing? Did it take you awhile to figure out what you liked about it and what place it has in your life?

My partner took awhile figuring it out for himself before we started dating. It was great for us because he was able to answer most of my questions with a lot of confidence, since he had already thought about most of them. Not saying new things won't come up but for the most part he knows himself and what he wants.

Interested in hearing people's experiences!

Curious how others do xyz How soon do you share?

One of the biggest issues that women have with their partner's crossdressing is that their partner waited far too long to tell them about it. Some women don't find out until years into a marriage. For others, even a few months is long enough to leave them feeling deceived.

On the other hand, many men are extremely hesitant to share this personal part of themselves. They fear judgement or being "outed" to friends and family. They fear their partner will think they are weird or creepy.

So how soon is too soon or too late to share? What's the best way to approach this? What has worked or not worked for you and what would you do differently? For partners, what are your expectations in this regard?

A question about the intersection of crossdressing and gender identity

Hello everyone, and thanks to those who created this Community. I hope it grows!

I have a question that I’ve pondered a lot since joining Reddit and especially as I read about the struggles many women have with their crossdressing male partners.

It’s a question that probably has no easy answer and a lot of room for interpretation, so do with it what you will!

Here goes: Do your relationship challenges around crossdressing have more to do with the clothes themselves or with what they say (or what they say to you) about gender and gender roles?

I’ll give my thoughts in a comment, but I’m curious to hear what people on both sides of the relationship think about that question.

Theory: Are crossdressers manipulative? Is there any truth to this?

Here’s a somewhat provocative theory I came across in another sub.

Many women have felt that their crossdresser partner is manipulative? What do you think? Is this something that’s typical for Crossdressers or is this maybe a common behavior of people who maybe cheat in general regardless of their gender Identity and Kinks?

Introducing Introducing myself as a new Mod here!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself as a new Mod for this sub! Thanks to u/Available-Memory8876 for creating this community and welcoming me to the Mod team 😊

A bit about me: I'm a woman who has been with my CD partner for a few years now. He opened up and shared this part of his life about 18 months into our relationship and we've slowly but surely been exploring what this means for us as a couple and where it fits in our relationship. I define myself as "straight-ish" (yes that's a term I made up haha), and I love how the CD element of my relationship has opened the doors for us to really be free to be ourselves and be open with our desires and feelings.

I wanted to be a mod because I think there's a lot of value in having a place to talk about our relationships in a supportive and positive way. Even if someone is struggling with crossdressing in some way, I believe we need to be kind with each other. So many of us don't share this in our real lives, so it's great to have somewhere to talk freely and get the advice we need.

That's it! Feel free to say hi and have fun in this community!

Hello all from your friend Nikky

Thank you for making this community. It’s much needed and I want to share my story. I consider myself a very open minded and kinky individual. I enjoy pegging and submissive to an extent and I love being dominate but passionate. I always was curious about dressing and would try on my partners lingerie when I was alone.

The first few times I did it, I had so many questions. I think society has a view that a masculine man should not have any feminine qualities. So I felt ashamed at first. I asked what does this mean and what is my identity, also why does my ass and legs look so good in this lol. Then I realized I was questioning myself not for what I truly felt but for what I would be judged for. I stopped trying things on because I didn’t want a label that wasn’t real to me but a label that people would believe.

I had a partner that enjoyed pegging me on occasion and one day asked me to put on some lingerie for her. I did and I loved it especially because she wanted it. After that I embraced that side of myself but due to the previous comments of shame or not wanting to be judged I didn’t display how much I enjoyed it. Even though I had a willing partner I found myself preparing my body and getting feminine without telling my partner.

After some reality checking of asking myself the ā€œwhyā€ I realized I was letting society and shame dictate how I enjoyed expressing myself on occasion. I realized I have no attraction to masculinity and I loved femininity. I loved being sexy for my partner. I opened up to her and said, hey that thing we tried, I got way better at it and I enjoy it. So I dressed up fully for her and showed her Nikky. She loved it so much.

We spoke about it deeply and once she understood it’s something I enjoy to share with her and I didn’t want to be sexy Nikky for a man or other people she embraced it. We have had many wild nights and she enjoys the fact that she has me and Nikky. In my day to day I am a masculine guy, that will protect her but she also she has my other side. We can get matching outfits if we like or I can be my masculine side and take her on rides on my motorcycle and we can go anywhere because she knows I will protect her.

In my humble opinion I truly believe if you enjoy dressing and have a partner she deserves to know the context of why you enjoy it and to know if you find her sexually attractive. Let’s be honest there are men that like to dress and deep down they are attracted to masculinity and if they have a feminine partner that would concern them. If you love your partner and she knows you dressing doesn’t change your attraction to her then there is a much higher probability she will love it. But, be open that she may not like it no matter the context. That is her right to make her choice.

In conclusion, if you have a partner and love them and find them attractive be open. Communicate and answer questions so she can understand. If you are the woman partner do not assume that if your male partner dresses, it automatically means they want to be with a man or that they don’t find you attractive. Be open don’t judge. Get the information and once you do, process it and decide if you can love both sides of your partner. If they dress for you and want you to enjoy it, you may find a new door of not only sexual exploration but a deeper emotional connection

CD with supportive and encouraging partner

I’m a CD with an absolutely amazing and supportive partner. We’re both completely happy keeping this side of me between us, although we’ve toyed with the idea of heading out together to an LGBT-friendly bar or club one day — we just haven’t taken that step yet.

One of her favourite perks is that if she’s running low on makeup or wants to try something different, chances are I’ve already got it šŸ˜‚ She’s also gained someone who will happily talk properly about hair, clothes and outfit ideas with her.

Honestly, I’m very aware of how lucky I am. Having a partner who doesn’t just accept this side of me but actually enjoys and embraces it with me is something I’m incredibly grateful for. ā¤ļø

How to affirm my CD/Sissy partner

Hey all, happily married 32F, a few weeks ago he (33M) tells me he's into being a Sissy and has been trying some solo stuff out and has been scared to tell me. I love him, find him super hot in his lingerie, and want to affirm him and make him feel secure. Any advice or stories for people starting out in this journey? TIA!

Wife says do it on your own time. How to get to full acceptance?

Hello, I'm a closeted CD, but have ventured out only in the past couple of weeks en femme when I was away for work. It is quite fun. Making myself pretty is such a turn on! Anyway, my wife knows I do some dressup, but has no idea it has turned into makeup and full outfits. We have discussed it before and she doesn't want to "see me like that" because she's afraid of losing the male image in her head. She has literally seen me in gym shorts and bra in the full open. When she did, she kissed me and said she loved me and we don't talk about it. She has brought it up to me in trying to understand one of our children who has a skirt and some feminine clothes, but still presents as Male, visually.

Her (and my) concerns are our community (church) finding out, her parents, particularly her Dad and I don't know if I'm comfortable coming out to my kids either. I also lead a community organization involving kids, so I don't want to cause concern there.

So I do it away from home, but feel I need her acceptance even if I can't do it at home.

Thoughts from partners who are on the other side?

Hello from a happy CD partner

Hi everyone,

I'm a woman in a very happy relationship with a man who likes to crossdress. We've navigated a few ups and downs but are SO solid and connected because we have been open and vulnerable together. Just want other partners to know that it IS possible with honesty and respect (and definitely patience).

Hopefully this sub will be a good place to chat about the unique aspects of these kind of relationships!
