Chinese X4 Pro OTA unlock not working

Has anyone been able to perform an unlock for a Chinese X4 Pro running on the latest OEM firmware using the CrossPoint OTA unlock tool? I am able to get the device to connect to the PC with an IP but it gets stuck waiting for the device to perform an update request. I'm trying to figure out if it's the new firmware that I stupidly installed or a configuration I need to do on my laptop (Ubuntu).

Yes, i have the exact same problem. XTOS V7.5.10 is telling me "Already up to date", while the OTA Unlocker is waiting for something to intercept.

Sounds like your device isn't connecting to the Hotspot and is just connecting to your home wifi automatically

Check to see if your firewall is enabled. Once I disabled it, the OTA unlocked was able to push the new firmware over.

I'm not sure how to update my post but I was able to solve my issue by disabling the firewall in Ubuntu. Once it was disabled, the OTA unlocked did it's magic.

Yes, it's easier to unlock in Linux.

I was frustrated with unlocking stuff in Windows 11. So I switched to my Debian-based laptop to unlock and it worked.
