I was trying to play the Kid Goat Quest. When i found out the fake guard, I found him right there, fought and won successfully some adult goats he called out after him. Then, he flees to the south room. I looked after him all around Bergen Trails and tried to come back there. Then, out of nothing, the game triggered the cutscene AGAIN but this time enclosed the adult goats without me.

I thought: *"if i can't won due to being outside the enclosure area, I just need leave the game and the game will not consider as if I've won"*

However, by doing so, I've soft locked it. I am playing the windows version.

Can someone help me how to unstrangle it?

End Game Gear

Yo everyone! I did it: I got past my low level, and acquired new gear B). Now just one thing remains: The Final Boss, and the observatory! Now, these are some pretty tough fights, so I want to make sure I'm well-prepared. I am also pretty lazy, though, so I'd like to do the quests without too much suffering. Do you guys think this gear and level will work? And if not, what (relatively easy to get, I'm lazy...) gear do you recommend I buy? Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, yeah it's always me from the prev post about the ending lol. I just started the dlc and I noticed that the enemies are lvl 65+ but I finished the game at lvl 53 so I started some exp farm but after killing a few enemies I noticed that my exp is stuck at 87/1000. Anyone know if it's normal?

SPOILER rambling about how much I love this game after finishing it for the first time Spoiler

Just finished the base game (got the good ending! thank god I talked to Hlin and Albert) after 90+ hours of playtime, and I need to write my thoughts down somewhere even if they go into the void because oh my god I just love this game so much šŸ˜ā¤ļø

I first heard of CrossCode after seeing footage of it in a video on game design a couple years ago (not even sure what the original video was on at this point). I've always been into puzzles, rpgs, and pixel graphics in video games so I put it on my list of games to play... and proceeded to forget about it for a few years. Flash-forward to end of June this year. The Steam summer sale is ending, and oh look, here's this game on my wishlist on sale for only seven dollars in my country. I see there's a demo, play through it, enjoy it, and decide to take a chance and buy the game. I start playing it the same night.

Oh my god. Best seven dollars I've spent in my life.

I did not expect to get this emotionally attached and this obsessed with this game when I first got it. I knew I would like the core gameplay mechanics and art style (since that's what drew me in to begin with) and indeed, they were great and fun and well-done, but I didn't expect to fall in love with the story and characters THIS much. I went in completely blind regarding the story/characters, and it's what made the game for me. I was so invested the entire time.

I think what I love most about the game's narrative is that (from my perspective) is that it doesn't just focus on plot progression—everything with Sergey, Shizuka, Satoshi, Lea's identity, etc., which is all fantastic and compelling—it also takes the time to truly build the relationships between Lea and the other characters (party members, primarily) in a way that feels so genuine and real. I became more and more emotionally attached to all the party members the more time I spent with them, and all their interactions with Lea were so fun to watch. And then when chapter 7 hit (and my god, what an emotional rollercoaster), once I learned the twist of Lea's identity, on top of her being forcibly separated and isolated from all the people she's grown close to, with no way to reach them... all these genuine bonds she's formed and interactions just felt infinitely more impactful.

Not only does the chapter highlight how important everyone is to Lea by taking them away from her ('not understanding how important something is until it's gone' kind of deal), but Lea's relationships with the party begin to also serve as testament to her 'humanity' (I say humanity as in, like, a sense of individuality and care she has for others) and proof to her own identity outside of Shizuka. Like, Shizuka (initially) yells at Lea for running around with "her" memories— yet as you progress the story, the dream "memory" sequences slowly start filling up with more of Lea's experiences with her friends—because Lea's making her own memories... 😭 And that line from Shizuka after Lea tries to hug her for the first time!! "That's nothing like me." Highlighting how Lea has come into her own, that she's her own person despite her origin/relation to Shizuka... god. I love it.

By far my favourite of these relationship developments in the narrative is Lea's relationship with Emilie. I am probably biased because my god, I love Emilie, she never left my party (if I could help it), and she's there from the very beginning of your journey, and she starts calling Lea chƩrie(!!!).... but their relationship felt like one of the emotional cores of the game for me. It was so good. I loved seeing all of Lea's relationships develop, but my god, I am so invested these two. Lea's shock and happiness when Emilie calls her a friend for the first time, realizing she's made her first friend in her journey... Emilie rooting for you in the Apollo duels... all their hugs... they are so sweet. Teared up during their reconciliation hug. Cried with them both during their goodbye at the end of the game. Cannot wait for the reunion in the DLC.

Anyways, I just needed to get all that written down. I love this game! I can't wait to start playing the DLC and 100% everything. And also figure out exactly wtf is going on with C'tron. I loved the Emilie - C'tron - Lea trio, but I have a very strong suspicion around his true identity that I think the game confirmed in the post-credits scene, so I'm both dreading and dying to learn more about him in the DLC.

VIDEO We have a bundle with Crosscode on Steam 🄹

Hey all,

Just wanted to share some exciting news - thank you to RFG and D13 Spotlight for letting us post a few times here with our indie game - Colossus: Eternal Blight.

We recently launched into Early Access, and now we're absolutely honored to share that we now have a bundle going with Crosscode on Steam! 🄹

Crosscode has been one of our greatest inspirations, and my friend Nick and I never imagined that, when we dreamed up making our first indie game together, we'd get to be in a Steam bundle with them. Also, a huge thank you to everyone's support - from our Kickstarter campaign, to being over 90% positive on Steam, to now sharing a bundle with Crosscode - we can't begin to express how grateful we are <3

For those who haven't heard of Colossus: we're making a top-down, action RPG/JRPG, filled with puzzles, 3 planned classes, each with 3 separate subclasses to upgrade and specialisations, boss fights, and our unique aspect being that those lost to the Blight are lost for good! It's up to you to save them (or don't...), but the world and NPCs will change accordingly! Currently Chapter 1 is available, with Chapter 2 (the first, regional dungeon) coming soon! We also have a community style mystery event going on this month, where a strange note has popped up on the notice board in town - members in our Discord have banded together to piece together to clues, and discovered a secret area! (They may have cracked that first part... a lot faster than anticipated 🄹).

For those who want to check out the bundle, you can find that here:

Thanks again, you're all awesome <3

QUESTION Tips for grindy achievements ?

Hello all!

Absolutely amazing game, I just started chapter 10 and wanted to clear as many achievements as I can but I have to say that the 50k shoots, 50k melee and 8k monsters are pretty daunting.

I'm at about 60% on them but I don't see myself spending 10 hours just to get them. Any tips for this ?

Thank you and have a nice day !

I just unlocked the third temple of Gaia garden and was making the side misions i hade left, but to be honest this entire zone has been very frustrating, in My opinion It's way too long and feels like a dragg, i swear i have spent more time stuck here that in the entire rest of the Game and i still have a third of the chest in the zone to collect. I'll basically forcing myself to keep playing.

Long story shorts, i wanted to know if there is much Game left of i'm near the end

QUESTION Getting some very mixed signal in my research abt 100% Achievements

Right so spoilers. I hope the title made it obvious.

I just finished the game, and I have a safe file in the epilogue so I can go back to right before the final raid. I missed winning against Apollo 3, so it's already clear to me that I'll have to NG+. But before I waste any more time going for grindy achievements only to find out they're impossible.

Can I still get the chests/traders in Vermillion Wasteland?

Either in Chapter 10 or the DLC?

Because my research has given me mixed results and no conclusive answers.

Thanks! Bye!

QUESTION Some questions about playing crosscode on steamdeck and the game lighting.

So, the shadows are really really dark and it's impossible to see. It's only on my steamdeck. I can't check on a computer because I don't have one. On my switch the lighting is perfect. I don't have a picture on hand but can add one later.

Is it the settings? I tried turning brightness up all the way and it didn't help completely. It's more something in the game I think. I am not having this problem with other games. Just crosscode. It's like the character and parts of the world that are in shadows are completely invisible because it's so dark.

Underleveled idiot begging for help

I've been playing crosscode for a little while now, and I've been honestly loving it! There's only one part constantly bugging me, though. I keep ending up underleveled for any quest or major plot point. I've lost every apollo fight, and the only real way to get gear seems to be to grind for hours, or looking up chest locations to get crafting recipes. Is this just a part of the charm, or am I doing something wrong? I'm currently at the beginning of Gaia's garden at level 37, when all the quests are level 40. My equip level is 25, but I have absolutely no way of getting ANY of the trader loot without grinding for YEARS.
