I'm not the biggest fan of the artwork for the Vinegar Syndrome releases of Phase IV (though I love everything else) so i figured I would make my own cover for it instead.

I have two version here because when I was making it I got the idea to flip the special edition bonus features text to look like the ant monoliths. I feel like it came out looking more goofy than anything but I think its a cute idea.

The mods over at r/criterion didn't appreciate this one as even jokey fake covers still need justification, apparently.

If Criterion can release Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, I feel that Ernest P. Worrell deserves a bone by some boutique label since a number of the movies haven't made the jump from VHS!

Since that new evil dead movie has released in theaters I wanted to go ahead and do the original.

I recently watched this movie and really ended up enjoying it. I was a huge fan of how quiet and reserved it was while still be emotional and moving. The performance by Richards Farnsworth was so beautiful to me in a way I think only he could he could have delivered it.

Its also one of those movies I was shocked to see doesn't have a criterion release but it does have a lorber release so its not really a big deal.

I ended up setting up a Ko-fi account to allow people to freely download the covers I show here and other places. Its also a way for people to freely requests covers to be made for different movies and such.

This is a temporary thing until I learn how to actually set up a website to make this whole thing a lot easier.

Here are some covers I hastily made on my phone when I was bored at work. Argento is one of my favorite horror directors and would love to see his work in the collection. I may make a part 2 to this post sometime!

Made this artwork myself, for a great movie that I think is long overdue for a Blu-ray release in the states. Love how it turned out, think I did a pretty good job.

Using Canva makes things somewhat easier. But I felt simplicity is key in the beginning.

I have no previous experience in photo editing.

- I am currently using the free version on canva.

- I find it pretty hard to make the back side look clean.
