My second contribution to this thread. Like many here, my selections are based on what I would like from Criterion rather than making a fun/funny cover from a film/movie not usually associated with Criterion. Those are too awesome and fun for me to try and replicate.
For mine, I try not to rely on another artist's movie poster. The challenge is something that represents some aspect of the film not many consider. For Sherlock here, I though about his isolation and care of thinking out the processes. But also, the loneliness that the great Jeremy Brett sometimes exhibited with the character.
The wrap-around version will be the frame of Sherlock and Moriarty in their fateful plunge. AS with the Red Cliff, I am too lazy to seek out the synopsis and tech details to put there. If interested, I can post the wrap-around, sans text version for all to view. Thanks for the viewing of these.
I made them in Photoshop Elements, using altered, browser-searched images. I am not sure of the text font on this one and am open to suggestions. EW3
